Is the x11 pool live right now? I pointed a miner to it and it's not getting blocks.

Yes, it's live and I'm showing several miners connected.  The relatively low difficulty of X11 mining, as well as the 30 second block targets are making it so that a lot of shares are being lost though.

I'm going to do some research tomorrow to see if there is a better stratum server under these circumstances...  NOMP won't accept a decimal for difficulty, the lowest it goes is 1 and we probably need to be closer to .001...

I'd recommend pointing it there and walking away for a bit.  See if you hit blocks on a regular frequency at all.

One thing I don't know if it's been asked, will our wallet address change? or if i download the v2 wallet, will it create a different wallet so that my current coins aren't affected.

It would be comparable to downloading a new coin completely.  Your address will change and beside from the Coin Swap, the two block chains would not interact with each other.

so should we download and start the new v2 wallet prior to block to the cutover?

You don't have to, but this gives you an opportunity to do it early.  The coin swap won't be available until after the fork though.

Fork Update:

Hello everyone, to ensure the smoothest possible transition from SHA256 to X11 we are going to begin bringing up the X11 coin infrastructure this evening.  Our plan is to run both systems in parallel until v1 Block 517,200.  At that point, the v1 infrastructure should be used only for coin swaps and will be kept online by myself and MrData for at least 30 days.

What will happen:

1.  DONE MrData will launch the X11 genesis block and mine the first several blocks.  This will include the pre-mine for coin swap and development.
2.  DONE Source code will be published and
2a. IN PROGRESS "binary files will be made available."

Windows Installer -
https://github.com/WeAreSatoshi/WeAreSatoshi-Binaries/blob/master/WeAreSatoshi-2.0.0.0-Setup.exe?raw=true

Windows Zip (QT & Daemon) -
https://github.com/WeAreSatoshi/WeAreSatoshi-Binaries/blob/master/WeAreSatoshi%202.0.0.0%20-%20Win32%20GUI%20and%20daemon.zip?raw=true

3.  DONE The SHA256 Pool will be redirected to http://sha256.was.club/...
4.  DONE The X11 Pool will be launched at http://mine.was.club/
5.  Coin swap will officially begin AFTER block 517,200.  This looks like it may be some time early tomorrow.

I'm currently waiting for the network to propagate with my subdomain / IP changes...  Your SHA256 miners need to be redirected to "stratum+tcp://sha256.was.club:3333"...

I'll play with it and see what can be done.  That's a template / web platform called Foundation 4, it ensures that the website is mobile responsive and can be seen on smart phones, tablets, etc as well as desktops.

MrData will need to get the Block Explorer logo.

Are you referring to the pool theme?

No- I was referring to was.club. See how the logo and twitter feed are in black...

Alright, thanks to Brian for hosting the new icon contest!  Now that we have a winner and a new image, I have updated the OP / the Twitter feed / and http://www.was.club/ with the new logo.  If anyone sees the old logo still lingering on a community website or document, please let me know and I'll update it.  I think I've got everything though!

Here is the link to the image if you want to use it, or if you run a 3rd party site.

Block explorer still has the old logo and how hard is it to change from the blue theme to black. I think it will look better IMHO.

sha256D?new algo,interesting,lol

Not 100% sure, but WAS might be the first to jump from SHA256D to hybrid X11 POW/POS with aggressive coin reduction.

PS: Logo in PSD format sent to MrData. Can't wait to see the new WAS wallet.

Hello

Looking forward to the coin update but https://github.com/WeAreSatoshi/WeAreSatoshi.git will not build on Archlinux.

I'm getting the following error and cannot submit an issue on github.

build/bitcoinrpc.o: In function `_GLOBAL__sub_I__Z12JSONRPCErroriRKSs':
bitcoinrpc.cpp:(.text.startup+0xd57): undefined reference to `sendalert(std::vector >, std::allocator > > > const&, bool)'
collect2: error: ld returned 1 exit status
Makefile:311: recipe for target 'WeAreSatoshi-qt' failed
make: *** [WeAreSatoshi-qt] Error 1

The previous commit had no issues.

I had same error on Ubuntu 14.04 just add "rpcalert.cpp" in makefile after rpcnet.cpp and it should compile normal... I also added to WeAreSatoshi-qt.pro also after rpcnet.cpp... Hope it helps

Once everything is set we'll provide further instructions. You will basically send your v1 WAS to a trade in address, indicating your v2 address as a transaction comment. At the address provided, you will receive 1/1000 of what you send in.
