We have 2 -6 hour power outages in SA.
I don't want to destroy the PSU or the miner in anyway.
I am getting mixed responses online about using modified wave inverters.
The following article seems explicit about the possible outcome in using a modified sine wave inverter on sensitive electronics. I hope it helps:

Thanks, I would love to get a pure sine wave inverter. problem is when they come into SA. They have a huge mark up.
I have some secondhand deep cycle batteries to test this idea on.
I shall test a modified wave inverter to see how that goesand if i get any HW errors in the process.
Example. S5 Cost me ZAR4670 (S5+shipping+VAT+added BS). It sells here for R7400 used.
I wonder if an ATX PSU tolerates a modified sine wave inverter. If it does, then I also wonder if the +12VDC output would be kosher for the miner? I guess I'm sort of hoping that the ATX PSU would somehow modulate the modified sine wave and outputs a clean +12VDC.
