Hi everyone. I've tried participating in a couple of airdrops but haven't gotten any coins yet. For those of you who have, how do you go about making anything out of airdrops? Is it worthwhile or just the usual pump and dump?

I have a friend who made good profit from ebitcoin which is an airdrop coin, I have an airdrop coin eltcoin myself and if I will trade it right away I will make free money right away but I check it's roadmap and price and it's doing pretty well in the market and they are gaining support, so my take is airdrops are profitable.

Of course they are. You give nothing and recieve tokens for free. Earning something from this fully depends on your capabilities of controlling your actives wisely, nothing more. My advice is to participate in every airdrop you can.

I think that only for free distributed forks of bitcoin are worthy of attention. They get such a huge price from the start that I do not see the point of keeping them long.

To a great extent, yes, because airdrops are given freely. Which means you are not investing anything at all, so why would it not be profitable? But if we talk of whether the profit is worth it as compared to your effort and time, that is something we have to agree with, because almost all the airdrop coins right now are not nothing but useless ones. They may be free and we are happy about it, but at the end of the day, they are worth a dime or even nothing.

Airdorps are, espacially for newbies at crypto, a good way to make some fast fucks. If you stay with the topic you quickly realize that there are other ways more profitable to earn money.

Airdrop is profitable for the token creator. Becuase when the token listed in exchanger, he will earb much profit from the market. Many developers give bounty for thousands members to social media, is trick to make the token popular. they are giving away actually. If a token not popular, there is no community, the price in the market will be low, and not profitable for developers.

In fact airdrops have a much much bigger issue now.

I specifically have an e-mail address for airdrops, nothing else.

I start to receive spam mail today I received an email to tell my coinbase account was compromised from Russia, including the ip address.

You need to click on a link to log in and fix it, the link was done expertly and very subtle for someone to click and log into your account,

I knew immediately it is from an airdrop.

Be very very careful with airdrops unknowingly your losses can be huge.

I really think bct must have some rules about this.

Nobody need your email address for an airdrop.

Airdrops air profitable, yes because you can earn money from signing up in it with no money that invest on it but there are few coins only that has a big prices in market, most of them are low quality in the market, try to have some ico, participate on it because it is more profitable when it will be successful on the future time

Most airdrops are pump and dumps, Deeponion is the only coin so far that has kept a stable value and they generously airdrop a certain amount weekly. Even though the amount was more a few weeks back before the new rules, its still a great value.

I would never really expect much from those. According to my past years experience the chances to have something valuable are very low. But there are other things to ask yourself - do you have fan applying for airdrops? Or may be you will be all the way sad when understand that your wallets are full of worthless crap? If your expectations are to have fan, to learn cryptos, to learn UI, to be acquainted with different platforms - wow how cool those airdrops are! But if you expect to earn 10k fiat from shittoken, barely. I will tell you that those cryptos, which are alive today back to for example 2014 were given very, very moderately. Some giveaway for feathercoins was * coin, monacoin also * coin, digibyte **** coins and so on. Literally, those devs who really are working on their platform seems "greedy" for users, but that's only so comparing to scam owners. So if you have fan do it, if you expect good earnings - barely.

Without shamelessly plugging, DeepOnion has been profitable for me for sure. I've kept over 90% of my airdropped coins and still made a few hundred dollars...the gift that keeps on giving...onwards and upwards.

I made a total profit of .875 ETH on BTCRED last night. I was airdropped 2000 Tokens at the end of October and waited until last night when I saw it pumping. .875 ETH equates to about $367.50, all of which is profit and has the potential to grow even more. I originally planned on holding most of the tokens, but after seeing the shenanigans with IPY and FBK, I decided that I would sell whenever I saw a pump in full swing.

absolutely, most of airdrops are shts but it will give you free money, developers just making their tokens then after distribution they will dump their tokens and left the said project. but not all airdrops are scam there are some that are also legit.

Definitely! You've got to make sure that you're picking coins that have a team and a project that you can get behind and believe in, otherwise you're just going to forget about the coin and not be invested to stay in it for the long run. Airdrops are really a gamble to get a very cheap coin and hope that a very long time from now it rises in popularity and all the dumpers have gotten it out of their system, as value builds from holders. Look at bitcoin, a new report came out saying that most investors dont want to sell until $200K or something ridiculous like that. So really if a coin can survive the airdrop phase then you should be able to make some good money off of it.

I tried few airdrops and none of them has a value on exchanges. Now i don't get into any airdrops but i like bounties.
But i know some people gaining some decent amount from airdrops. Its all luck related and i am not lucky
I heard some guys made decent money just from airdrops and also some are saying that airdrops are huge waste of time to collect worthless tokens.
Most of those are from people riding on the pumps during a pump and dump (some made couple thousands by riding the eBTC pump&dump).

Some profit will bring profit for you like POStoken, participants receive avg 10 POStoken each, about 8$ right after airdrop and 5$ now.  Grin
Can you link me to that postoken or similar airdrops? 50$ for doing nothing is something i am looking for(i think we all are).

In my own experience, one in ~17 airdrops will successful, like sugarcoin), so you can earn in one month about 250-300$, if u get 2 airdrops like this, you need at least 2 hours per day to doing registrations in it (at max). Smiley
