I am waiting to be able to sign up for the DeepOnion airdorp and I have heard people say that they are profitable. You need to be Jr member of BitCoinTalk before you are eligble for teh airdrop. I think that is a valid requirement to show that you are active in the community and not just joining to dump. That is still a risk but at least you reduce the risk. I am joining because so far I like the community that DeeOnion has. I will let you know if it is profitable or not when I join!

90% of the airdrops are pure scam, you fill in the wallet of coins that are worth nothing. you find yourself with 100 coins in the wallet with a value equal to zero and if you want to sell it you have to spend gas. practically we go to lose. But the good coin can also happen that can make you earn something but we always talk about a few picks

Asking for profit on something that literally gives free money is kinda none sense. But yes, it is just the usual pump and dump mostly. Have you seen the names of these coins, put 'e' on any existing coin or Ethereum-'random word', then that's their project.

You donnot pay money for this, so what do you expect ? A lot of money ? If holding coins for a while , maybe you can earn some money , but 90% coins in airdrops are iliquid.

Hi everyone. I've tried participating in a couple of airdrops but haven't gotten any coins yet. For those of you who have, how do you go about making anything out of airdrops? Is it worthwhile or just the usual pump and dump?
its profitable only if your lucky to participate in airdrop with dedicated team and good purpose
but out of 100 it still hard to see atleast 1 good coin

Yes, airdrops are profitable. Not all of them are, but some of them are really profitable. You gain money with not too many effort from some of them, and that is good for sure.

For example, I have some waves in my waveswallet. I received OCL Oceanlab token because I own waves. This token have a value in the exchange.
And then I received Coffee token because I own OCL Oceanlab. This also have a nice value in the exchange. I owned tokens with a chain in this example. Maybe I will receive another token because I hold Coffeecoin in waveswallet, who knows?

You just need to be careful sharing your personal information in these airdrops. You can share your ERC20 wallet address of course, but beware of scam projects that asks for your private key or any other personal information. If you be careful at that point you will be good

Airdrops are profitable, yes. They will be the easiest tokens you will ever make.
How hard can a sign up be? If you dont mind the ICO collecting some information, a piece of advice, make a new email account and a seperate wallet too.

Well, yes, for the effort you put in, it is profitable, you just have to create an email, MEW address, like a few tweets, share a few stuff on facebook, this isn't much work at all, given we are always online, and sign up forms are almost always simple. But I have to say that most airdrops are bogus and designed to gain information about you, so best you don't use your personal email address for these and maintain a separate wallet.
But if you take the effort you put into doing airdrops a bit further and do bounty programs, they will pay off, you'd basically be doing the same thing except you'd be doing them on a weekly or a daily basis with a much higher pay off.

Airdrops are one way of earning tokens, they are free, so you they are definitely worth it!
Bounties also but you usually work for those tokens.
As far as i know, depending on the ICO, you will get them on a specific date that the admins or devs tell you. So best to ask them about it to make sure.

After airdrop goes online, people who make money through airdrop can continue to buy coins. The same airdrop can also get investors' various kinds of information, but most airdrops are deceptive and unsafe.

I would put most airdrops in the "pump and dump" category. But that doesn't mean they aren't worthwhile. I managed to grab a few that pumped really hard, made several ETH out of it. It seems like the hype is over for ERC20 tokens, though. The hype moved onto Bitcoin forks, but after Bgold, the hype is fading there too. There's another fork called "Bitcoin Diamond" coming next month, but I'm not sure anyone cares.

I guess what I'm saying is..... they might be worth your time. But they were more worthwhile a month or two ago.

well they are free. Most never go on an exchange so are worthless but the odd one does and than you can make small money. The best airdrop of all is Deep Onion if you can earn over 100 onions by using there forum you will be paid weekly.

Airdrop is free, you can get huge amount of coin if you know how it works, like another way to get btc/cryptocurrency, airdrop also have its negative side,

if you mining, your device durability need a maintenance
if you trading and no patience, you loss
if you play faucet, you waste your time with a little amount of satoshi
if you follow up the airdrop you also maybe get scammed, token dumped, wallet stolen

If you have no job and nothing else to do then yeah it can be profitable I think and sometimes you can hit a jackpot and your airdrop pump a lot

But usually airdrops are worthless and you can be scammed by it

airdrops have there use.. unfortunate scammer to advantage of it and gave airdrops a bad name

if a legitimate project doesn't want to deal with legal issue right away an ICO might not be best.. by airdropping they coins the can avoid legal issues in most countries.... also by the team keeping some of the coins it make them work for their money.. some of the bigger successes with come from airdrops.. you will see this soon...

but comes good is bad... alot of airdrops are being use as a marketing tool to get people to buy more.. and when you buy more the team dumps all their coins then disappears... thats when you need to use your judgement on which airdrops are good and bad.. but just because a coin was airdropped doesn't mean its bad.. if the project is solid and continuing to move forward.. then it might be the best thing you ran into

ill give you a few hints on very good projects that were airdropped.. but please research yourself

It is not a correct question, airdrop is free money, so it is no such profitable, it always profit, just the matter how much is the profit.

Agree with you, unless OP could earn some more money doing other thing than spending time on airdrops, that would be the great question, if he has something more profitable than them.
