What we have to understand is that not all projects in ICO are scams, people who still believe and invest in the ICO project certainly analyze it first, because they also don't want to lose their money.

Yes, I agree. It is not all ICOs that is scam, just like it's not all ICOs that are legit. but proper analyzation of project before investment will help protect against scam.

ICOs are dead, sorry. Only IEO is gettering money in 2019

Technically both of them are same because they are offering their coin for sale in the early phase if ICOs are dead that means IEOs are also dead because nobody is going to buy something if they think it is not going to bring you any profit. It is just people misinterpreted it as something new, but in reality, both of them are same.

and I could see some project meet their standard and gaining profit from their project.

We heard the news of IEO to be in place of ICO in order to curb the high rate of failure and scams in the development of altcoins projects in this year 2019. My surprise is that I still see series of projects claiming to be in ICOs. Doesn't that make them scam as we have seen in the same scenarios in the past?

If it is, I wonder why people still invest whether their time or monies in such projects which have high risk of loss or being scammed.

Although there were many scam ICO in the past, i think there are still some legit ICO, but only few.
ICO nowadays will have to work harder to show they are a real legit ICO to their investors, otherwise they won't raised enough funds.

right Now it seems investors are starting to lose confidence in ico, so they prefer to buy coins at ieo, of course we cannot blame investors on this, remembering that last year many investors felt quite large losses with many ico scams available, and hopefully With ieo it can restore investor interest in investing in new altcoin projects and can automatically make cryptocurrency development run rapidly.

each ICO has different prospects. so, the certainty is still uncertain. in 2019, there are several ICOs that are quite profitable for example BCNEX. as far as I know, the project managed to collect more than 28 million dollars in its ICO, and at the moment the project is already running. in this case, you need to look at the potential ICO that you are targeting. since the beginning of the ICO, not all ICOs have been confirmed successful, and to this day it still applies. so, you need to do further research, because if the ICO goes according to the whitepaper, and hopes, then it will benefit the investors.

No, it doesn't mean any project a scam if they go through and ICO and doesn't make every program legit that goes through IEO.
For an example many of the IEO gone through binance launchpad had done an ICO, they were selected during the ICO process and a percentage of their ICO token was sold as IEO.

I lose faith in ICO but not on projects that show promise or profitability, because I understand that some projects do not have enough funds to pay top exchanges to do their own IEO so they resort to doing ICO but they tried to be as transparent as possible to gain the confidence of investors and bounty hunters.

We are on IEO era, I think many of project prefer doing IEO than ICO. If there still available I think is quite difficult to find the legit one. Did you want to invest on ICO?
Better prefer to IEO, I think people now less interested to invest on ICO...

First of all, ICOs can be legit and can also be a scam. But if you are thinking about this year then the answer is no. Some of the ICOs on 2018 ended their sale but they waited before getting listed and it is their luck that in this year IEOs had sprung. So in short, IEOs are the only significant thing for investors for now. You may try ICOs but the fact is that the concept is hanging on a thread and can't succeed.

I cannot agree 100 percent with you. ICO and IEO are just a means of collecting funds to fund a crypto project. There are many legit projects that depend on ICO to collect funds. ICO and IEO cannot determine which project is legit or not.

It is rare to see that an ICO project is legal. However, the issue of raising a huge amount of money (ICO) or (IEO) by a company will always be noticed by the laws of that country. However, somehow projects are not legally recognized but still work, only if the project successfully raises capital, we will see the legal issues are public.

Only 1% out of 100% of ICO projects are legit and the few ones i know of are using both ICO and IEO to raise fund,ICO can't be trusted like in the past anymore but what should be more important to investors should be how good the project is, as for me if i come across any well made ICO project i won't hesitate to invest, action speaks louder than words

In some countries, ICO programs are not recognized by national law, but they still take place secretly and silently. However, investors no longer believed in ICOs but turned to IEO programs, which were safer than ICOs and linked to the trading platform.

ico is no longer as special as 2017 but there are still some ico that deserve to be followed, the most important thing is you must always be vigilant before putting money in or participating in it. the way scamers now attract attention by offering great prizes in projects.

IEOs have started from the ICOs and that's why you will always see there will be some new projects that called themselves as ICOs and they are only waiting for the exchange site to offer cooperation with them.
The reason is always the same caused by there was so many people are still being millionaires from the good IEOs and you can visit cryptorank and made a calculation if you are investing decent amount and it goes 50x instantly.

This is he main reason why icos are still legit (ico that already converted to the IEO)

It depends on that project, but some projects that have positive responses, most choose IEO in well-known exchanges, because they will get good demand. If the ICO project received positive reviews from well-known crypto media, it might still be good.

I can't blame the crypto community for being so cautious when it comes to ICO's, especially with what happened last 2017. The investors have grown and learned so much, they even have different ways to vet a startup before they actually invest or not. One good habit to have is to check ICO scores that were averaged by ratings/influencers and see who comes out on top. In that way, you will have an overall understanding of what your best options are and not.

That is what i did also. Whenever a new ICO came up i would research about it, but even Coincurb cannot help you. One ICO i participated in turned out to be a scam, and there were good reviews about it.

There are still some legit ICO's running around. The problem is that those projects can't get away with the scam factor that most ICO are previously and up to today. So it's really hard for them to get investor because of that.

If it is, I wonder why people still invest whether their time or monies in such projects which have high risk of loss or being scammed.
Hype around those projects, promises such as this is the $$$ ICO price. So there are still some investors who get's attracted to that.
