Actually I don't like risk, especially if the risk about my money and I want to see the result quickly, so usually I keep holding for a not so long period of time

I prefer in mid to long term mostly. But it all depends on the portfolio, what goals do you pursue. And on the basis of this you will understand what strategy you should follow. In the long term, the probability of loss is less than in the short term.

I always set a target for myself and many times the coin reached the target but also I missed so many opportunities by doing so and not selling at rise where I also experienced loss. And finally I understood that setting targets is ok when the general market condition is ok and stable otherwise I will not set targets anymore.

I am trading once in a while because I have coins in exchanges. Sometimes I buy and just wait the coin to go up in value before I sell, of course I know it is in dip. Now, which is better, set it to your expected price so that when it hit you sold? O wait for the price to go up and sell even if it did not reach yet to your  target price? Thanks.

I do trading and hold only for a short period of time and by doing this I gain like 0.2-0.5 eth a day which is really profitable for me . I buy when it was dip and sell when it increase .

I do not intend to sell them, I do not intend to sell them, because I know that they will give a huge percentage of my investments in the future, but there are some crypto-currencies that I have to sell, because I do not vouch for their potential despite the price.

I'm on the short term now. It's not like last year where long term hold will pay off. It really shocked me this year that all the coins that I kept to grow slowly just go down below the prices where I first bought them.

I long term and short term. I truly believe in some of my altcoins. So I hold them for a long time up to now. Even their value goes down hard. I still hold them.

I am in for both, long term and short term. Short term for me is normal daily trading, while long term is holding a coin for 6-24 months and getting profit after the price goes up in value, usually 10x, 20x

I am for a long term to projects or protocol that has strong community, great team of professionals developing it and good market standing. I am for short term on projects that lacks the following categories I intitially mentioned. Team developing it is one of the most important. Project won't move forward if progress can't be done by the team working on it.

I prefer in long term, but not all the coins I keep only equivalent amount that I think enough for long term and some is for trading just in case bitcoin is drop.

Yes me too, i prefer long term for reputable coins, some altcoins in my portfolio are short terms only, there are a lot of things to consider when making a decision in a down trend markets. Select coins only which are good and can work in the long period of time, in fact some of the altcoins which i bought few months ago are not worth to hold, because of the no updates on the side of the developers. So i believe only few coins are considered for long term investments.

Some are good for long term, and some are good for short term investments, trading is the key to earn in this currency. Anyway hoping hoping for the best for all of us.

Have a great day.

Any investment long term is good for more profits. Because short term investment are not worth compare to long term. The future of bitcoin is very bright and it seems the market is going to recover soon like last year. Buy bitxoin at low price and hold it for long-term till the price of bitcoin is high. Watch the coinmarketcap for price variations you know whether it is going to high or low. According to that you decide to sell or hold the bitcoin.

For someone who knows how to wait, bitcoin is always profitable. This does not change for deep-rooted projects. But I do not think the same thing for altcoins. They are affected by fluctuations very quickly.

if our financial goal is short term then we can sell off for short-term profits and come out of trading and again buy coins at the dip so short-term trading phenomena work here

for some coins, we should look at long-term and for some coins, we should look at short-term so we should act according to market movements so short terms profits may be high some times rather than long term profits
