and i am holding some that i already had since last year.
it depends on their platform and project which to hold for long.

Both short term and long term.

1/3 of my fund is for long-term, holding ADA, NXT, MONA

other 1/3 is for short-term, trading ZCL, BCC, BTG right now

the last 1/3 is for some good ICO projects

I think you should divide your fund to some parts, and trying all the strategy to see what is the best for you.

I am trading once in a while because I have coins in exchanges. Sometimes I buy and just wait the coin to go up in value before I sell, of course I know it is in dip. Now, which is better, set it to your expected price so that when it hit you sold? O wait for the price to go up and sell even if it did not reach yet to your  target price? Thanks.

Why don't you invest in security tokens they are not going to give you millions just for investing 1 US, but you can receive a lot of money and when somethings is asset backed the value doesn't depreciate at a high rate like in cryptomarkets. Please check this article and tell me what you think, for me the best one is Property Coin because is an real estate asset backed token and those things takes some time to depreciate is a crash happens.

Well, I created a strategy after I listened to many other investors and created a mix out of them:
1) buy something that is very hyped for short period of time.  Sell and get out the profits fast and leave a small portion on the token;
2) buy the PROBABLE rumour and sell the news. For example projects that have high potential and are only on one great exchange and in the meanwhile will be listed on a new one. Buy it, wait for the news and then sell it when it has at least more than 50%. You gotta search those one.
3) make a switch: sell on profit, buy on dip between the coins that I do trust:
Let's say that I have 5 all star coins that I own. From the one that performs best I sell a certain percentage (never all of them!) and buy more of the coin that has the lowest growth or is in a dip at that very moment. And I continue this process every once in a while.
4) there are also some coins that are long term holders that are untouched.

This is my approach towards the way of trading.

Hope it has been a helpful post

Stay safe

Well, this is a very passive trade, there are faster and more profitable ways. I recommend to study the market better!

it's better to wait for the right time to get a big profit than selling at a price that does not reach the target but I think it's better to be patient making this an investment for the future
Comparatively speaking yes indeed, its much better to sell it when you already maximize the profits, than trying to short and regret after seeing the value to go even more, set a target and aimed for it, if you can just hold your coins and keep it then patiently waits until the rise to the moon comes and enjoy your big earnings, most of those who understand the chain loves to invest and wait.

As practice has shown, if a person does not have sufficient knowledge and skills in trading, this is the Commission of short-term trading operations it is not suitable. It is much safer to buy altcoins for the long term.

Mostly i choose both the long term and short term because we don't know when the prices start increasing in the market. Depend on the situation of the market i will act.

if I choose Short-term investments because the funds you enter will be played and can only be released after a relatively short period of time. The goal is to avoid the occurrence of money that is unemployed

Most of my coins I will keep until the end of the year, and maybe even longer. Crypto currency is just gaining interest and maybe in the future my coins will grow well in price

We must set a target price for us to sell the krypton at the desired rate, and immediately after reaching the target of the exchange rates, we will quickly sell it for reinvestment.

I do like both short term and longterm goals on trading.  I hold potential coins that has very unique projects, events and with huge partnership. For short term trading i prefer it for my tokens from airdrop and bounty not all of the free coins that we've got has potential some of them are pump amd dump some are just shitcoins. So everytime i joined bounty i always review first their white papers anf if they has something to offer. Trade at your own risk mostly the coins that i have for longterm is at least at top 30. Right now i just joined Bitcoin  Crown bounty with huge potential   it's the first easy to use gaminh crypto currency. Long-term on the crypto's I believe in. Short term for ones that I don't see surviving. I put my profits back in into my long term investments.

I think the prospects for increasing the value of cryptocurrency is very serious and put the sale price may not be as profitable, this can only be profitable if you play bad news in this way in order to buy again
