days ago there was a real madrid game against manchester city, it was a champions league game, i'm a fan of real madrid. I support real madrid but when it comes to placing sports bets I have to be people who know how to separate feelings because I analyze the data of the two teams, for example I had to analyze which of the two teams has the best squad, clearly that the answer is manchester city, which of the two teams has the better defense and attack, clearly it is manchester city, so the deeper I got into data collection the greater my inclination was to bet on manchester city, and it does not mean that I would be against real madrid, that's not it.

This is a more professional way to bet and not to becloud your analysis with emotions and sentiment when you have already seen the handwriting on the war . Gambling is now a means of livelihood for many people, so it is a serious business and investment not to be joked with. It is better based on analysis like you have judged your team Real Madrid not to be better match for Manchester city going by your analysis and truly the game ended 4:0 against Madrid making it a bitter lose for them. If you have relied on sentiment and attachment for them and staking them to win of course you would have lost. The worse to happen is not to bet your team at all if you don't want to be seen as someone not supportive to your team.

We are fans of different football clubs, and whenever there is football banter, we never fail to take sides with our respective clubs. We stand by them no matter what because that's what being a fan of a football club is all about - unwavering loyalty. However, not all of our favorite clubs perform well. A typical case study is Chelsea, who have had one of their worst performances this season, currently occupying the 11th position. The challenges they have faced this season are unlike any other. Just last night, they were brutally defeated by Manchester United, who showed them no mercy, to the extent that they didn't even celebrate one of their goals.

As a gambler and a die-hard fan of a club that has been having a terrible season, would you bet against your club, knowing that their loss would be your financial gain? Or would you stay loyal and not bet against them?
Usually im a type of person who isnt really that sticking into something which isnt really that good already.Yes, we've been might be supporting them full force wayback but we know that greatness doesnt really last
forever on which there would really be a time on where these teams turns out to be shit and been beaten up which you didnt even expect that other teams could able to do so.Im not saying that they arent unbeatable but on the sense if those losses are something that unbelievable then you would really be molding up that kind of presumptions that they are already rusting when it comes to performance or really have
that bad roster or whatsoever kind of factors which do mainly affecting them.

In speaking about betting then i dont really have that kind of loyalty.Of course i would really be aiming into those teams which does have the high potential on winning up a certain game and wouldnt really
be considering on sticking on a team just because you do like them or mainly support them. Somewhat this is really something according on someones preference though.
Life is just like this on which you would really be needing to adjust and you should really know on when to let it go or when you would be changing up your perspective in life in terms or favorites or those things that you do support. I agree that each team/player cant really be that dominant forever because there's always a chance that time will come that there would really be more better teams might really be able to encounter
and the team that you've been supporting is really that slowly getting beaten up or totally not really that much competitive against the new ones. Making or using up your own sense or simply with your common sense,
would you really still stick on something that could bring out more losses into your gambling betting just because you are mainly been supporting or you are a fan of a certain team and sticking into it?
It doesnt really make sense on that case and you are just basically be trying out to be supportive but deep inside you've been hurting on the money or bets that you do keep on losing.
Sooner or later you would really be having those realizations and would really be making out those adjustments on which you do seem that it would really be ideal.

I’ve done this many times already because it seems that your favorite team can’t be dominant forever especially if the key players are no longer part of the team. Betting is more fun if your favorite team won though of course you should not hesitate to bet against them because that’s an opportunity for you to make profit which is the goal of every bettor, so set aside your emotion and bet based on facts.

You can always settle being at these two, as a gambler and as a fan. You can forget for a moment that you're a fan of the club that you're going to bet against with.

And that's normal in the gambling world when you're basing your reality on the odds and not on how die hard fan you are.

That's the reality that many are dealing with and they know their limitations as a fan, the support is there but they need money if they're sure on which club to bet for.

You’re a gambler, there should be no emotional attached with your favorite team especially if they are struggling already. If there’s a chance to make profit then I’ll grab it even if its betting against my favorite team. Every team have their own struggles, and betting should also be analyzed before putting your money. There are other gamblers who are loyal with their favorite and will just avoid to place a bet because they don’t want to feel sad if their favorite team lose the game.

that is true. just remember, at the end of the day, the club doesn't know you or doesn't care about your funds. whatever you will do with it is up to you. so for me, if you see an opportunity that you can gain from betting on the opposite team, why not? you are still their fan but we are talking about your personal money here. keep in mind that they don't care whether you will lose or not with your bets. try being practical on this matter, you will thank yourself later on.

Well I will always do whatever legit thing it takes to make money and that's inckude betting against my club  especially  if they're not doing well..
Most times I treat sport watch totally  different from soccer betting because the purposes are different  and when betting , I only choose  games and teams that I think might win a match and not favoring  any particular team because I believe  that whether the team wins a match or not, they are still getting paid  and I don't have to support a team because of fan love when I'm not sure of their winnings.

I would not. I'm not a die-hard fan, but I watch matches of my national football team and when I feel like they don't have a chance I prefer not to bet at all than bet against them. I know it's just business and when you see a team in bad shape you could capitalize on it, but I prefer not to because if they somehow were to pull it off, I'd feel so bad about betting against them and losing money.
I just prefer to stay out of it.

Betting against them doesn't necessarily equate to me as relinquishing my liking to them. So I think I would be able to take a bet that is against them if given the chance, especially if as you said, the team that I am a fan of is not particularly performing well on the league. I could understand these people who are superfans of certain teams because way back then I was one but as time passes by and as you delve deeper in the gambling industry you'd soon find out that it doesn't really matter. All that does is that play with the winners. But if you're a fan of the sport and a die-hard follower of one team, with no particular affiliation with gambling or whatnot, you'd definitely find yourself being more on the side of staying loyal to your team of choosing, most of the time it's your hometown's team but you do you.

I watched the matched last night, and I can remember Manchester United did actually played a very good game, but when it comes to gambling, and most especially sport betting, I always try to analyze the strength & previous performance of both teams (i.e my favourite club) and the other to see which has a better chance of winning, and if I notice my club has a very slim chance of winning, I rather stake against my favorite club or not stake at all. However, I'm a fan of Manchester City & I really love the fact that Pep Guardiola has been doing a good job since we made him our couch.

In as much as I always wish my team to win in every game they play, it will be a good opportunity to win big betting against my team especially when the team is in a poor state. Personally I have won several times betting against my team Manchester United when they were in poor form last season, there was a particular season when they will play straight three draws in three matches will I continue to be loyal and keep losing funds just because I support them I guess no is the answer, I will always want the good of my team but when they can't win a match due to their terrible season I will surely increase my financial gain betting against them.

There's no word fanaticism in my gambling, fanatical people will be losers (most cases), I'm a big fan of Atletico Madrid, do you remember when they were beaten 1 - 0 by Barcelona recently?  I didn't bet on that match because I was sure that Atletico Madrid would lose, that's how I did it, even though I don't support them from gambling, at least I still support them and hope they can beat Barcelona at that time. My way of thinking like this didn't just come to me, I have this kind of thinking because I was let down by them and at that time I made a big bet (lost).  In conclusion, it's okay for you to be a fanatic of the club you like, but don't always bring it into gambling, because that will really kill you.

I don't let emotions get in the way. I go for the odds and also checking previous history of the club i fan and their opponents then make my bet based on whom i feel can make it through the 90' strong. If the performance of my club isn't satisfactory in a particular season i don't mind betting against them till the end of that season the interest is the money and not the fan title.

I think it will depend on our fanaticism for the club because if we want to use the moment to our advantage, we will probably bet against your club, especially if our club's opponents are better than ours. It would be a loss if we chose our club when the opponent was stronger.

But some people will stay loyal and not bet against them. And some just watch the game and don't gamble because they don't want to see that loss. I don't know about people, but if it were me, I would rather not bet and not watch it because it hurts to see our club lose.
Well I don't like seeing my team lose and definitely hate to see them on my coupon and I predicted them to lose so when my team is experiencing such hard times I just skip them from any of my bets and I do this because I don't gamble because of the money I want to win just for the fun of it and it won't be any fun for me to see my team am supporting losing even though I know if I predict to lose it will be of financial benefit to me .

As a neutral football fan who appreciates the underdog (although I do have a soft spot for Real Madrid), let me present a different perspective. When you wager against your club, you're not necessarily betraying them, right? Rather, you're acknowledging the unpredictability of the game, the fickle nature of fate. Isn't that part of the charm?

Look at Chelsea's recent downturn. Wouldn't a rational bettor see this as an opportunity to make some money, all club allegiances aside? I mean, loyalty to a football club shouldn't mean turning a blind eye to their potential shortcomings. Who's to say pragmatism and passion can't coexist?

As long as you are comfortable with what you are going to lose, it's ok to bet because you are a die-hard fan but it's better to cheer for them and not bet if you knew all along that your team has no chance of winning.

A die-hard fan will always hope for his team to win whatever the odds, but you can't be losing money when they are losing,  your team will not give your money back if ever you lose.

I seldom against my favorite team it's like hoping that they lose and you do not represent yourself as a die-hard fan if you wish your favorite to lose.

There are other ways or chances to make money from sports betting but not at the expense of your favorite team.
True. It’s okay to lose as long as you can manage the amount you lose, after all betting does not assure winning on your favorite club the whole time. However, if asked if I’ll gonna bet against my favorite club, that’s seldom to happen. I always bet on my favorite team, and if ever the chances of losing is high, then it’s better not to bet at all and just support them in their games. It’s not a die-hard fan anymore if you bet on the other team for the sake of money. Sometimes, satisfaction counts more than simply winning money.

C'mon man only a sentimental fool wouldn't bet against his club on knowing that he is going to gain from them losing. Well I cant speak for everyone but for my stand I definitely do that almost all the time when my club is actually experiencing a losing spree and I call it a reverse bet so I can't feel it because I know how it feels for your team to lose a match so I actually stake two different ticket with different option on the selected games. I have had series of loses so I have even decided to go neutral on the supporting of any teams so now I bet only on stats of the current forms of the teams I want put my money on.

Yes of course, my club isn't giving me anything in return,I just like their football pattern and enjoy watching my club football doesn't mean that if my club is in a poor form I will still foolishly stake for them to win a game that I know is impossible for them to win at that moment.

Gambling is fun but no gambler will love to stake on a game that he is very sure that he will not win. I don't become biased or sentimental when it comes to football. Some persons can go to any length to defend their club even in their poor form. This reminds me of a friend that is a Chelsea, this season that Chelsea is weak in their games,he also brag that Chelsea will win their matches. Yesterday, when Chelsea was losing 2-0 to Manchester united,he almost bet with someone that Chelsea will equalise the two goals. If not for me that discouraged him,he wanted to bet with that person on his conclusion.

My support has its limits - I may support a particular club or team but if it might cause me to lose money in the long run then I might as well just watch on the sidelines and not bet at all. You can still support your club/team by not betting on them and just be there when they have games or buy their merch. But if you really want to make money and you know that your club is really up to no good when it comes to the match-up, you can be a degen and make money off of it. The question is, can your conscience do it? I guess not.
