guys be aware of the airdrop forms that you fill up in here , i filled out a few forms yesterday and i started receiving scam emails on that email address.

Indeed the email that we put in the airdrop form is always the target of spam. Airdrop is interesting because it offers free tokens without a lot of effort but we must be vigilant when having to submit our personal data such as identity documents or email addresses

There is always some shady things about when it is free. So you have to be careful about joining airdrops because some of them want to hack your computer system to get your private data. Some of them want to steal your personal information to sell it. That is why I stopped joining airdrops. It is the risk that I cannot take.

It might be a new thing to newbies. Those who have been in the cryptoverse for some time now will see it as something that happens regularly and should be avoided by all means.
The mistake I made when I was participating in airdrop, was suing my main main email on the forms I filled. Till today, I still receive spam emails.

Do not use your original and official email for such things, I participate in Airdrops and bounties and I created a dedicated email for them and I know not have to get worried the number of emails that get in there. Also it is through such emails that certain viruses and phising sites are sent and one have to be careful not to click on such links

One reason I'm not interested in airdrop is a scam. There are many ways they do to cheat, by sending e-mails, personal telegram messages and more. And that is not comparable to the results we get. Don't waste time on that.

Most times it is not the project that keeps sending those spam and phishing links emails. It is done by scammers who still email lists from public spreadsheet or through other means.

If you register for Airdrop, you should first check the truth from the Airdrop. Does Airdrop have a project or not. At least you can check their website, whether official or not. Because there are so many Airdrops who only seek followers for them.

A lot of these forms are loaded with phishing sites, some will even ask for your private keys. Let's be wary of them please.

When participating in bounties or any online activities it is advisable to always use a separate email address aside from your normal email address for the activities that you don't really trust. Because some bounties or airdrop are just scam and are trying to gather email to be able to spam you.
Yes but it's not only the email which is dangerous, they also know the pseudonym of your account on bitcointalk, your name or pseudonym on the social medias platforms, and last but not least, they know one of your bitcoin/altcoin addresses and they can track your transactions. Some companies working for the CIA, DEA, FBI, IRS, etc are aggregating these datas and selling them to governments.  Undecided
Not all airdrops are scammers. But caution in filling out the forms will never hurt. You must have a separate wallet without ether and separate email for the airdrop. Links in the form is a danger number one. When filling out the forms, never didn't click on the link in it because an invisible scripts may be written there that read your key.

I think this problem has been shared by many bounty hunters, who are doing airdrops. Once you give your email required for airdrop, you will start receiving scores of emails spamming your email account. I have also been facing this problem. I am tired of clearing my inbox everyday due to such spam emails.

The problem of mail spam concerns not only airdrops. There are bounty campaigns that ask their members for their email addresses and then publish them as a separate column in spreadsheets. What scammers use, copy these addresses and send out malicious links and spam.

Well yes, this is a pretty standard modus operandi of these would-be scammers. Farming emails via forms, praying for people that are too naive and then using the mails to spam with scam content.

It's obvious. But mostly such letters come in the tab ,,spam,,.So there is no reason to worry. The main thing is not to go on the links in emails.
It's not but what happen when the scammer will try to put the link to the malware? we must be careful with any possibilities to be scammed from various ways.
I have received so many scam emails and i don't even know where i have putted my email to the scam project, it looks like the developers who are received the email has already tried to sold it in the dark market.
Airdrop form is a very sensitive to be used by scammer.

airdrops? even the prize campaign is still vulnerable to fraud especially when compared to airdrops, we are on a global forum and there is no guarantee of any kind about crypto, it all depends on how we can survive here. Some air droplets have passed. There are no more airdrops like in 2017, you better focus on other work and don't expect more with airdrops.

First time on airdrop? I think most of Airdrop here is just a method to scamming people here.
I have seen many times airdrop who beg people to send eth or send their PK to get the airdrop. It just a scam, so be careful.

This is true, I keep on getting spam/promotional emails now because of me filling up details from an airdrop form. And I can't unsubscribe for some reason. Though that airdrop campaign really helped, its such an inconvenience.

yes there are many cases of fraud on behalf of airdrop via your email, I personally do not care about that especially let alone airdrops. if a message arrives on behalf of airdrops or requires you to do Kyc you better just ignore it. Beware of unpleasant air strikes
