Canelo doesn't have any choice but to face GGG once he wins against Bivol. It's already a talk that they need to win their respective fight. I don't think Canelo will change his mind as he also likes to shutdown GGG once and for all to truly send the latter into retirement.

Before he can do that though, he needs to take down Bivol first who is also a strong boxer and currently a champion.

Canelo already has experience fighting at Bivol's weight class and I'm sure he can handle it.

What about scenario, if Canelo looses to Bivol? Canelo has experience fighting in light heavy, but against Kovalev, who (most experts think) stepped in the ring for a cheque or to sell his belt for few millions. Bivol is younger, faster, more hungry than Kovalev, who is more interested in punching women than Canelo in 2019. Even amateur career of Bivol is more successful than Kovalevs. Even though Canelo has experience in LH, this fight is going to a serious test for him.
I do not think it makes any difference, if Canelo were to lose to Bivol would GGG be less interested in fighting Canelo at that point? I do not think so, and what about Canelo? He may even need the fight as a way to recover some of the reputation that he would lose under that scenario and then challenge Bivol again, this is why the victory of GGG was the key for the fight to happen, as a defeat at that point could have allowed Canelo to avoid him by claiming GGG was a shadow of his former self.

Majority of the vote, voted for Alvarez but I wouldn't surprise with that I look at his footwork and agility training as well as real match footage you would see that he is really a good fighter but Bivol is not also an easy opponent with a 19-0 standing with a 58% KO ratio.

Let's see, Canelo has defeated plenty of undefeated fighters in the past, so this is not new to him, and the fact that he agrees to fight Bivol, that tells us that he can handle the power of Bivol. I still think he would win this fight, maybe not by KO but his boxing skills will dominate.

I think it's not that he can handle the power of Bivol, it's more of his talent against the best of this division. He has conquered this once, and for sure he knows that he can do it again even against the best of this division. That's why he is willing to fight the champion which is Bivol. And again, his granite chin can hold against the best of 168 lbs or even at 175 against Kovalev. So I wouldn't be surprised if Bivol's power doesn't have any effect on Canelo.

Canelo already has experience fighting in Bivol's weight class.

Once they clash, he can definitely handle Bivol's power. On the other hand, Bivol likewise will do the same. They are both equal in terms of strength based on my observation and people just think Canelo will overpower Bivol because they only know Canelo by name and Bivol is not popular for them.

Bivol's achievement is impressive and if he is just nothing, he shouldn't have those good records. This fight is equal and who's the one be able to stand for long will be the winner.

Yes, he fought Kovalev as 175 lbs, Kovalev was tall and obviously the bigger guy and it took Canelo 11 rounds to finished him. And it is an old Kovalev, but against Bivol, who is also in his prime, so this is really a good test for Canelo because he said in the past that he will not fight anymore with this weight category. But I guess everything has change now for him.

Canelo Alvarez Enlists Oleksandr Gvozdyk as Sparring Partner for Bivol Bout

Quote
The 34-year-old Gvozdyk, a native of Ukraine and bronze medalist in the 2012 Olympics, was regarded as one of the top light heavyweights in the sport for the years that he was active, from 2014-2019.

While the Ukrainian is stylistically different from Bivol, Gvozdyk’s size, power, and reliance on using distance and straight punches should make him a more-than-adequate sparring partner for Alvarez. As a professional, “The Nail” rarely went the distance in his bouts.

https://www.boxingscene.com/canelo-alvarez-enlists-oleksandr-gvozdyk-sparring-partner-bivol-bout--165450

And so Alvarez training is in full swing, hired Oleksandr Gvozdyk to bring the best out of him in the LHW division.

Although the style might be different, he need to have a good sparring partner and as big as Gvozdyk not to emulate Bivol, but to gauge the power in this division.

Bivol was even asked about Canelo sparring heavyweight in preparation of their fight.

And Bivol smiles and said, doesn't matter, Canelo can even spar with aliens, LOL, how can you not love this guy? And they also said that sparring is sparring and they can get anyone they want, but come fight night it will be very different from sparring.

He already tastes those heavy and solid punches before it's just another little adjustment for him, and with the skills and talent that he has from this sport, it isn't hard for him to do it. Though boxing is not a sure deal, there's always upset that can take place. We can only say who's the winner is when the announcers read the name.

Still equal, unless we saw them fighting and see who's making or converting solid punches, might not see a KO but a toe-to-toe
fight would add the entertainment to all the fans and viewers.

You are right besides Canelo has more fighting experience than Bivol we maybe can't see a knock out but I am sure Canelo would win this match but we can't be sure about it maybe if Bivol would be lucky he would get a good punch and knocked Canelo but just like Safari said he has a good footwork and good agility it will be really challenging for Bivol.

Canelo has never been knocked out in his career, he had one loss and that is against Mayweather because he got outboxed, therefore, Bivol has a lesser chance of winning if he cannot outboxed Canelo because Canelo is way faster than him.

I want to see Canelo inside the ring, just I remember that he added some weight to move up in this new division interesting

to see if that same speed and agility is still the same. But experienced, wise, Canelo has that huge advantage against Bivol, he can

use that to prevent any possible attempt from Bivol. Let see once both of them are inside the ring and starting to throw their punches.

Golovkin just beat Murata via technical knockout in the 9th round

GGG vs Murata highlights and results: Gennadiy Golovkin beats Ryota Murata

Golovkin had a real hard time with Murata in the early rounds but in the 6th round he caught Murata with a lot of good punches in the head that turn the fight around in GGG favor, GGG is very much different from the GGG we've seen 8 years ago in this fight
but I still want to see the trilogy happen, hopefully, Canelo if he wins or loses against Bivol will also take the trilogy.
This is good news, I think we as fans were worried that GGG could lose this fight and this could delay or even deny the possibility to finally see the third fight of the trilogy, but now with this win I think it is very likely that we would do so, because even if Canelo were to lose against Bivol, something I do not think it will happen, GGG will still be interested in fighting Canelo, so unless Canelo changes his mind I think we will finally get to see GGG vs Canelo.

I'm really optimistic about that trilogy but not because I'm a fan of GGG but because I want to see them clash again for the third and last time, surely GGG is old enough but that's just a number and his skills and IQ in the ring are still sharp as ever. Many have doubted him that he will be lost in this fight but he fought and make that rumors stop. Now, it's Canelo's turn to unlock his key for the upcoming trilogy. His way might not be easy but I can still see that he will be hailed as a winner against Bivol.

Yes, it's Canelo's turn to officially unlock the chances of the trilogy to happen.

I'm not really concerned about GGG's age and look at his current build, still bulky and muscular, and even thinks he's not looked in the 40s.

Regardless, we all want to see the trilogy no matter what. Just curious here on what if Canelo loses the match, is Bivol have to take place or GGG will have another boxer on his timeline to defend his currently hold belts.

He was just observing Murata that's why he didn't get aggressive in the early rounds but he handled it accordingly, having a real hard time is an understatement. The fight becomes heated and officially started on the 3rd round where both of them are exchanging punches but it's somehow clear that GGG have already got a good points for continuously aiming at Murata's head.

The fight ended in the 9th round via TKO, and that's already good whereas it ended by a decision where things could possible go wrong hehe. Now, it's Canelo's turn to shine and make the trilogy into reality.

It's now Alvarez decision after his fight if his camp is really open for this possible trilogy. GGG managed to win and beat Murata in front of his fans, just the same with your observation. GGG heated after that 3rd round exchanging of punches. Murata tries to fight back but GGG already seen his advantage and takes care of it to win the fight.

Looking forward now to see the trilogy between GGG and Canelo, Alvarez can deal with it whether he wins or loses against Bivol, more on how the camp of Canelo's take regarding to this possible fight.
Canelo alvarez if he will win or loss in this fight I think the rematch is waiting against triple G who will win his match.
What a win by triple G in that match I am amazed that triple G even in his age he can still knocking down murata.
I think it's better to focus back in training so that canelo alvarez will win in this match against civil and for sure he can.

Now, who is old?

Murata seems to be the one who was gassed out first, that one punch from GGG stopped the fight and he was then declared the winner.
Now, no more doubt for GGG, he is here to rule and the next fight would be against Canelo. Nice, we now have a chance to see a Trilogy if the rumor will happen.

Canelo alvarez vs. Triple G will coming soon for sure, cause triple G want to rematch canelo and if canelo alvarez will win also in his match against bivol without a doubt the will fight again with Triple G. And about triple G fight earlier all I can say is a big No only his age will getting old but his stamina and solid punches still saying that I am the king even if my body getting old but when my punch came to you you will realize I am still young to knockout you.

I'm really optimistic about that trilogy but not because I'm a fan of GGG but because I want to see them clash again for the third and last time, surely GGG is old enough but that's just a number and his skills and IQ in the ring are still sharp as ever. Yeah, the ball is now on Canelo, GGG has done it, win against Murata, get his belt, but it was a very tough fight for him in the beginning. So the other part of the dancing partner has fulfilled it already. So let us just wait for Canelo then, hopefully there will be no derailing on the part of Bivol because he has a chance to pull an upset, although slim the chances are there.

Murata put up a good fight against GGG, there's a possibility that Bivol can also put up a good fight also against Canelo, we have underestimated Murata but he put up a gallant fight, Bivol can also put up a good fight he will not just go down without a good fight,

I always knew that GGG will win but honestly I was expecting him to win by KO in the early rounds, but still a win is a win although it came late in the fight. GGG has to improve if he wants to beat Canelo, with the way he fight, we might see the same outcome on their rematch and Canelo will be the winner.

Quote
I'm hoping that Canelo will win the fight just for the trilogy because it's what the community are asking and both fighters are not getting any younger.
Just be optimistic because Canelo has never lost a fight after he lose to Mayweather, he is at his peak now so his chance of winning is very high.

I agree a win is still we have a saying in boxing style makes the fight, all of Murata's fight he is always moving forward and wants to have the upper hand and go toe to toe but GGG is GGG he knows the right time that Murata will give in if you notice he landed many of his punches on the head and face because there are no head movements that make it an easy target
Those many overhanded accumulation punches did it for Murata, this fight proves that GGG is a thinking fighter.
One thing is proven in this fight the chin is still strong and he can take a punch even from a knockout artist like Murata.
