I was not aware of Klitschko brothers pressurizing the WBA to cancel the bout because Dmitry Bivol is a Russian citizen and for them to take a position during these crazy times is commendable because if you start cancelling fights because of political reason which Dmitry Bivol as an individual as no voice on the political situation and the war that is going, you should not restrict them and take away their livelihood.

I haven't heard if Bivol is on the US already or still in his motherland? And again, just to make sure that he will be given entry by the US he is still in Russia. And I do hope that this is also taking into consideration. If he is already in the US soil then there should be no problems.

No change of plans or getting a sanctioned that it will be a non-title bout. Let's be positive on that and hope that the situation between Russia and Ukraine will be solved thru diplomacy as we don't other industries like sports to be affected by the ongoing conflict. Not all Russians, especially athletes, want the war in the first place that's why it seems unfair that they are dealing with the consequences that their President is doing.

Yeah, I think majority of us here saw that this fight is going to push through as per schedule despite the noises around regarding Bivol as a Russian.

Bivol went on record that he is against the war itself and it's good that the WBA didn't heed the call of certain boxers and allowed this fight to proceed in US soil. So just like what? 7-8 weeks from the fight? For sure they have started their trainings already and for sure this will be a great fight.

Sorry mate, I have to disagree with you here because Saul Canelo Alvarez is not an undefeated boxer. His record is 57-1-2 and his only lost came from the one and only Floyd Mayweather Jr. last September 2013.

You cannot teach a dog a new technique in just a short period of time, you cannot teach Bivol to be a Mayweather on this fight before he can land that left hook and uppercut Canelo has already created a space and do a counter, I have seen Canelo's first loss so many times and unless you have the quickness and defense of Mayweather your chances to beat Canelo is slim, you cannot go toe to toe to Alvarez that will make you an easy target and at the same time you cannot hit him if you are facing him directly, you need a lot of movements and faking to beat Canelo.
