Yes, we can expect an adjustment from him, however, Canelo is not afraid of fighting a taller and bigger fighter as he already beat a lot of fighters like that in the past. He might not able to beat them in the early rounds but with his maturity and ring IQ, his strategy is slowly but surely so in the end, his opponent will be gas out because of the consistent power punches they will receive.

Canelo's advantage against taller and bigger opponent is his speed, so he still have an edge.

so far, no indication of suspending or postponing the fight. i understand, bivol is russian here, but this is not political arena that we are in. though we can't assure if endorsers and other big sponsors will not pull out at the last minute affecting this match.
will this war situation affect bivol in terms of his mental health or preparation of training, we don't know? we know that canelo is already a big star and can pull off good audience, so boxing fans are excited with this match. just hope that everything will be in place and push thru this event.

Actually, it's not that the sponsors or organizers will back out but since there is a lot of pressure put on Russia, that will be one of the reasons why the fight will be delayed. We see many sports events already are canceling Russian teams so this one might also be postponed indefinitely. The athletes have nothing to do with the war but yes they are among that is sanctioned here. We use to hate Racism but seem we like doing it as well.

While this could really be a good fight to watch, it also shows the other side of how worse humanity is.

As of now, the scheduled fight between Canelo and Bivol will still continue amidst the crisis and criticism against the Russian Federation. The fight was scheduled this May so while the boxers are preparing for the fight, both camps have still time to work with the legalities and appealing the bodies to let this fight happen without any sanctions.

Canelo knows that Bivol ain't an easy opponent because the latter would not be a champion at his division if he's not that good, and as expected Canelo will start slow in the first few rounds to observe Bivol's movements until he can find that perfect spot.

Canelo Alvarez is the obvious favorite it seems, looking at the poll and of course, the comment section. Usually I am one who likes to cheer for the underdog but I am 100 percent in on Alvarez. No way Dmitry Bivol stands a snowballs chance in hell against him. Going by Dmitry's history, he certainly is not a weak fighter. So the outcome might be 70/30 for Alvarez if not 60. If looking at nationality, I think he may have lost a lot of support from his fans for the mere fact of being Russian, which is unfair. But it may also explain the polls favor of Alvarez.

The next fight against GGG is a certainty at this point. No doubt about it.

That's why they just go down to 168 lbs after the Kovalev fight because they saw that Canelo did have a hard time against the former champion. But I guess when he clean up the 168 lbs division, he has no choice but to go up again and there was news that he will go as high as CW. But things have change and decided to fight on LH and challenge one of the champion.

Though he knocked out Sergey Kovolev, that was not an easy work for Canelo. Its just that Kovolev gassed out on that fight thus resulted in him being knocked out in the eleventh round. The point here is that Canelo will be having some trouble in the light heavyweight division and Demetry Bivol is not a pushover or we can say that he is not like Kovolev and with that being said, this is going to be a very interesting and exciting fight for Canelo.
