I'm surprised the majority of the poll participants are actually voting on GGG to win this rematch. There's 70% of them who think that GGG will prevail in this fight. And there's only 26.7% who think that it is going to be Canelo Alvarez who will win this fight. This is the opposite of what the odds are suggesting in betting platforms with Canelo having only 1.20 and Golovkin having a very high one with 4.10. This GGG odds must be very attractive to the majority of those who joined the poll.

@ 4.10 that's going to attract more gamblers and fans to bring out decent amount of money to bet for GGG, a lot of people still believe

that even GGG is no longer on his prime, he can still make a big damage if Canelo will  be careless during the fight, and with that sweet odd

they are willing to spare and risk some amount of their money to favor GGG. Though bookies have other way of weighting the potential

outcome and continue to place Canelo as the favorite.

Indeed age doesn't matter if the opponent is careless even though ggg is not in his prime years but for sure a chance of winning is very high and also if canelo is over satisfied or over confident for sure ggg will the the belt as we all know that ggg is not just easy opponent he can deal more pain by his punches so canelo must take this fight serious and more accurate with a good plan to win the match and claim the belt.

The bookmakers don't usually get it wrong. If the odds meant Canelo has the favorable odds, it must be true.
True. It is really hard to compete with the betting odds. It's not like some experts and celebrities just predicting the outcome of this fight without millions at stake.

I also look at it unexpecttedly why the votes for GGG to win. Canelo is a bad ass fighter.  GGG's win against Murata is sort of a fluke. Him facing a real threat ones again will make him fold after a body punch.
From the look on GGG's face after getting hit by Murata's solid shots, I also think he will fold if it was Canelo. I am not discounting Murata, he was a legit world champion. But there's a difference between good and great.

I'm a huge GGG fan but I voted for Canelo due to his age. I don't have a bet yet because the odds for Canelo are too low. I might consider Canelo by KO/TKO here. But I'm still hoping GGG causes an upset and then retires for good. Grin

well, while I don't see a real opportunity to evaluate the odds for a fight between Canelo vs Golovkin, it's still too far away, so now it's just speculation, many boxing experts believe that Golovkin can only secure his victory ahead of schedule, it seems to me that he can try to invest as much as possible in the upcoming fight and in case of victory announce the end of your career.

That would be big news if that will happen, GGG is not expected to win by many because Canelo won the last fight and therefore GGG is now a heavy underdog, maybe because of his age too, that's another factor. GGG will win, his career is not over as for sure he will always be willing to give Canelo another fight and they will both big money from that fight.

You are wrong. Either you are speaking about Canelos last career fight, you are wrong, because he has lost to Bivol. Or if you are speaking about GGG vs Canelo 2 fight, then Canelo was not an obvious winner, because one of judges was completely blind or this fight was bought.

I would say, that both fighters have identical chances to win, no matter what odds bookies give. Both have huge experience background, both are skilled. Everyone are giving Canelo an advantage, because of GGG age. Like Canelo has better reflexes, speed. But Canelo is now different from what he was in their second fight.

What bookies think is likely the voice of the majority, and with the current odds below, that says Canelo has a very high percentage of winning, it will be an upset if GGG will win.

It was indeed a controvertial fight in their 2nd fight, so if we back GGG to win, then we should take that +300, should be an opportunity.

Yeah, as what we say, numbers don't lie, and GGG punch output was sure enough to put him on the W column against Canelo, but the judges thinks otherwise. And most of the boxing fans also see GGG winning the first.

And that was critical as well, tainted meat and PeD's accusation on Canelo which he clearly dismisses and the organization sided on him (maybe bias again???). Enough for the fans to really trigger something that they want GGG to win in this fight.

Fans will always aim to see GGG taking down Canelo. They will be more on the side that GGG is really a good competitor to Canelo.

We will only know if they are right or it's still Canelo will win and will put a dot on this matter,
The good catch here, if GGG wins, it's possible to have another money fight for both fighters
with how eager the fans promoters will use that great advantage to make more money from these
two warriors.

I can try you to explain why a lot of people cheer GGG to win, or wish to see Canelo loosing. Imho, because people are fed up with Canelo. Not because he is arrogant or bad boxer, but because they want to see other guy on top. Before fight with Bivol, Canelo won his other opponent in rather easy manner. He was not doing 100% of what he was capable of. People wish to see him loosing and climbing back on top. Like in Rocky, first he was beaten, then he returns stronger. People need more drama, then "another boxer is going to be beaten by Canelo this evening".

I guess it is more of the controversies surrounding both of their previous fights that are benefitting Canelo. The first fight was considered a rob out. Although GGG won in one judge, the rest declared the fight a draw. But the stats showed GGG ahead of Canelo. And then there was Canelo's suspension because of illegal substance before their rematch. And when the rematch happened, it was still controversial. And many are still crying out that GGG is again robbed of a win. Again, GGG is ahead in terms of punches landed.

Because majority thinks that GGG can still win this fight despite his age. And in the Murata fight, he shows that he can still fight at high level and has the punching power.

And perhaps that fans here hated Canelo because he feels that he is so good, but arrogant. His lost to Bivol might bring him back to his feet but who knows. He started to bad mouth GGG in their press conference and still counts those 2 victories he had (but for some of us, it's questionable win).

I am one of those who voted for GGG, because I really want him to win. But at the same time, I know that Canelo has a higher probability. If this fight was happening 5 years ago, then I would have said that Golovkin would have kicked the shit out of Canelo. But this is 2022, and not 2017. Golovkin is 40 years old and age takes its toll. I guess people like me voted for Golovkin, partly because we believe that the first two fights were stolen from him by the biased jury. And also because Canelo ran away from the third fight for so long.

Golovkin says that he does not attach importance to Canelo's defeat from Bivol and also believes that this will only force him to draw the right conclusions and become even stronger, so Gennady seems to be set up for the upcoming fight and considers Canelo an objectively strong boxer.

Is Bivol interested in having a rematch with Canelo? After their fight, Bivol told in the interview, that if they meet again, he will ask for a much, much more "interesting" offer. Google say, that Bivol got 2 millions and Canelo 15. I believe their second fight will happen, if their promoters will find a balance between lowering Canelo reward and increasing Bivols. But I think Bivol is more interested in obtaining new titles, than earning.

From what I heard, Bivol is yet to receive any money from his fight against Canelo. He was supposed to receive some $5 million (including his share of PPV purchases), but due to the sanctions against Russian sports people, the payment couldn't be processed. And Canelo Alvarez pocketed some $55 million from the fight (including $40 million from PPV sales), despite losing the match. Obviously Bivol doesn't want such a lop-sided distribution for the next match. And I can't blame him. No one would agree to such one-sided deals.

Oh I wasn't aware that Bivol hasn't received his prize money, that huge for him though, and it could be his biggest payday to date.

And I agree, Canelo has been talking about his rematch with Bivol already and hopefully Bivol could at least double what he got or more from the first fight since he has won the first one already. Doesn't make sense if he will still received the same amount of money.

It doesn't make sense if Canelo will still get that big slice after losing to Bivol.

Though we all can agree that fans will be buying tickets and views from PPV because of him, but Bivol deserves something more,
maybe his camp will ask for 60/40. Fair enough for winning the first fight and since it's Canelo's rematch call, then his camp is the one who needs to adjust with Bivol demands.

I'm actually still quite doubtful for a boxer who is 40 years old fighting but for GGG this might be one or the exception because indeed as you said he still has a good chin and body resistance in the ring and his brutal fight last April clearly proves that his age is not enough. limit the power of the blow.
This fight is a condition of prestige so I don't think it will be easy to make a decision by favoring one side just because of their age.

It seems like a close match for me considering where they came from their last fight and it's just some kind of common sense where you think they have the same gauge of stats since Canelo also came from a loss so his confidence to win might be questionable when he will face GGG which hasn't been lost since he loses to Canelo in their last fight. Now that they are finally given a chance to prove to the world who is stronger and better, we will gonna see a better version by both of these incredible boxers than in their last fight.
I hope this time one of them falls and maybe for greater hope I expect the same GGG performance as the previous fight.
When it comes to fighting it's clear there's going to be some tough competition there regardless of how Canelo evades a few times I'm actually quite optimistic about GGG.
When talking about their previous match even then there was some controversy going on there.

He needs to step up and be more aggressive as he has not won a fight in their previous two fight against each other. In the last fight of GGG, his opponent is not a popular boxer or let's say as good as Canelo, so this time it should be a different approach, an approach that will give him a win.

There are additional complications. As I mentioned before, if the fight occurs in the United States, then Bivol won't get a penny from the purse. Forget 10% or 20%. He will end up with 0%, as a result of the sanctions. And Canelo won't agree to a fight outside the United States, because that would mean a drastic reduction in the gate collection. Moving the fight to England, Japan or Germany also doesn't make any sense, because once again Bivol would be left without his prize money. The organizers need to work out a solution.
