In my opinion, Canelo lost confidence in his victory.  He is psychologically broken.

Attention, question...

Canelo continues to be a boxing champion and winner?

After his crushing defeat, no.  He needed to defeat Bivol.  He had to muster all his strength and win.  And then the fight with Gennady Golovkin could be successful.  But that did not happen.  And now I don't believe in Canelo's victory.

Kazakhstani Gennady Golovkin is the owner of high-profile WBA and IBF titles.

This is a very technical boxer.

I think he is destined to win.
I would have to disagree, Canelo lost against Bivol and there is no way to argue against that, but it is not like it was a crushing defeat either, Bivol is an extremely technical fighter and even if his professional career is on the short side he has a lot of experience as an amateur boxer.

So it was not that surprising Canelo lost the fight, now Canelo will fight on a weight more familiar to him and in which his punching power is a significant threat, does this means he will win? Not really as GGG is a fantastic boxer as well but I think to say he is broken is simply too much.

I hope we will see that in the fight, GGG is still not out of his prime I think, so he needs to beat Canelo in this last fight. Canelo loss to Bivol because it's not his weight, he was just trying to go up but he was not able to carry his power, so he is going back now and he finds it comfortable to fight an old GGG that he already beat before.
Age comparison maybe GGG no longer has the ability like his prime because GGG against Canelo is 10 years younger than him, even though the previous two matches have been draws but Canelo appears more confident to beat GGG than against Bivol before, I prefer Canelo style boxer and I hope he wins KO for absolute victory.

Canelo is getting slow which is slower than age GGG if you do see his fight against Bivol then you could really tell that this man is overrated. Sloppy fighting performance
and i would still make out some bets for GGG if you do tend to compare both on their recent matches then you could clearly tell and say on who do have the upper hand.
Im not on being bitter but you could really tell on how they do fight.
It's just one fight, and you can't say that Canelo is slow then, besides that is a weight that probably most of us here would agree, that it's not his weight class. But I would agree that GGG has a good chance because he is extra motivate for a revenge and it shows that Canelo is vulnerable, like what Bivol did. So he should watch that tape as the blue print is already on how to defeat Canelo.

I would not say that Canelo is getting slow. If you evaluate his form only by his fight against Bivol, then Canelo was not in his weight division and was aiming to end the fight by knockout, instead of gaining points. Loaded for one punch.

Since second fight against GGG, Canelo has changed his fighting style. If previously he was a boxer that throws combination of punches, then now he is doing a combo of 1-2 and ends with a body shot. From a technician, he has transformed into a bull with strong punches.

His win against Murata was smooth and patiently cooked by him, making Murata lose every ounce of strength he had until he goes down to the floor. You can see in that fight the vast experience of GGG is the main advantage for Murata and he lost because he doesn't know what to do anymore because the punches keep coming to his face until he can no longer take it. Looks like Canelo needs to know how to counter such tactics if he wanted to beat GGG in their final fight because that's just a great boxing skill from GGG.

I didn't watched Golovkin's fight against Murata. But if you are being honest, then it is quite a bit of bad news for Canelo. He is in his peak form, despite the fact that he is almost 8 years elder to Canelo. BTW, a war of words is going on. Both Juan Manuel Marquez and Julio Cesar Chavez have opined that Canelo is going to knockout Golovkin. On the other hand, Sergiy Derevyanchenko claims that Golovkin is going to win. Anyway, I have made my decision. Going to bet BTC0.01 on Golovkin. Quite big amount for me, but I guess it is worth the risk this time. Just hoping that the jury will remain unbiased.

He was slow because he fights on a not comfortable weight of 175 lbs. Yes, he fight Kovalev at that weight, but Kovalev is way pst his prime at that stage but you can see that Canelo did have a hard fight against him at LHW. And then challenging a young champion like Bivol, bigger and taller than him? it's a recipe for disaster for Canelo and he seems to reach his limit. So it's not him being slow, it's just his body is not adapted to this too much weight. Now it's going with his comfortable weight of 168 lbs wherein he clean up that division.

Fortunately, GGG was able to win against Murata because I think the trilogy against Canelo is totally non-sense now if GGG loses against Murata.
You're right. Actually, if GGG didnt win consecutively after his loss to Canelo I dont think this trilogy is possible or fans might lose interest because its just shows that GGG is not his usual self anymore as a great boxer. But since the outcome on his past fights are a victory, many are still looking forward that GGG can avenge his loss to Canelo.

This could have happened before the Bivol fight, but then again they are afraid Canelo might lost to GGG in a trilogy and their chance to take a shot on Bivol might gone.
Well, what else can we expect, sports industry is more of a business now than an actual sport.
GGG is now 40, but I think he still have enough left in his tank to beat Canelo or bring the fight as close as possible.

I think even way back after years since the rematch of Canelo and GGG, the former didn't show any interest to fight for a trilogy claiming he clearly won all the fights and he will just follow his timeline in the journey of getting more belts at the Cruiserweight Division.

Since there's a big money involved in that trilogy, maybe that is one of the reasons why Canelo suddenly change his decision and decide to fight GGG for the last time to finally shut up the doubts of anyone. Since the challenged Bivol first, the trilogy was set to happen in September regardless if he will lose to Bivol.

Fortunately, GGG was able to win against Murata because I think the trilogy against Canelo is totally non-sense now if GGG loses against Murata.

.....

If the loss is controversial there should be a succeeding fight to once and for all resolve it,........
The first two fights between GGG and Canelo are too close to call I hope they can finally resolve it but I doubt it because they are both good in their last fights.
So you want a fourth fight if the trilogy goes to judges scorecard again and the result is close UD or a split decision?

The comment section exploded. I hope the two fighters doesn't disappoint their fans and give us all an epic fight.

Seems that fans are still rooting for GGG to win even if they say that he is past his prime already.
It's hard not to like the guy since he's been around fpr too long and still beating other fighters. Everybody loves a legend to win in his remaining fights before retiring.

Seems that fans are still rooting for GGG to win even if they say that he is past his prime already. But we can see that he can pull that trigger with a good win against Murata. And then Bivol upsets Canelo in their fight. But the two are true Warriors and I assume everyone is very excited. Even the press conference for sure will be crowded by fans of both fighters, just imagine the atmosphere.
Unanimous decision by Bivol which i could say that it was really just right yet Bivol does have that unbreakable guard which is something that cant really be beat up easily.
Bivol neutralizes Canelo's counter punching and also he had some tough chin so its expected that he had able to handle it out.Its not surprising that people would
really be going along with GGG for this upcoming fight. We've indeed seen on how he performs on vs Murata which it isnt surprising on whose the favorite.

It was Canelo who challenged Bivol, GGG was just waiting for Canelo's yes, and now that he failed against Bivol, he choose to fight GGG so he will beck in the winning track again, however, I don't think it's easy for him to beat GGG, though GGG is quite old but he is not a left over.

He thinks that he can redeem himself again after that defeat he got against Bivol in this fight. Sure, GGG is have gone older now compared to their last fight in 2018 and he has the advantage as Canelo is much more comfortable in this fight as this is his comfort weight class but GGG can still give a fight and maybe even defeat him.
I doubt defeating GGG once again in this trilogy won't hype his name because this match is not that interesting to see anymore because of their gap and it was already 4 years since their last clash.

And that is what being the top crowd drawer can bring into the table. Not accusing the judges, but it seems that they really favor Canelo. Here he is the obvious loser, but as you can see, the one judge try to make the score closer but it's absurd because we really know who really win and that is not the right score. So still, thing kind of "biased judging" should be look upon in this fight. Otherwise, it will open up another round of controversies from boxing media and fans alike.

All eyes will be on the judge for this fight for sure. And the organization should assure GGG that they will get a fair judges and referee as well because this could be the biggest event of the year and it's going to be sad to see GGG being rob again in this fight. On the other hand, if GGG doesn't want to go to the judges score card then he has to win very clear, a knock out against Canelo is very hard to get, but we've seen a lot of legendary and great boxers at one point in their career has their chin being exposed.
This is better because at least we also pay attention to the judge whether his judgment will be partial or not later, but if indeed things like this have been focused on but still side with one party then this would be outrageous. and the only way as you said GGG must win clearly here even though it is indeed quite difficult but I hope there is something interesting here

Message @Hhampuz if you are looking for a CM!

Canelo is still in the process of establishing a good name in the industry and after his lost with Bivol, he will just take this match as an opportunity to make noise and gain fame.
He is already a popular fighter, after he became an undisputed champion, he was just testing his faith on the heavier weight but he cannot carry his power, so he loss on the fight, but despite that, people still respect Canelo and believe he is a great boxer.

GGG is a legend so Canelo must take a lot of courage to beat him. Yes, it wi be a good retirement fund for GGG and if he'll beat Canelo by knockout, he'll surely create a good mark on the boxing ring before he retires.

Canelo will also be a legend soon, I think he has more accomplishment than GGG as a boxer, so he just has to fight the way he used to, and I'm sure he will not adjust as he already beat GGG twice on their last 2 meetings.

Yeah, because he was really ambitious and tries to go up in weight after he became an undisputed champion. Since he failed, his option now is GGG as for sure he believes he has a good chance to beat GGG again and make big money again. Boxing nowadays are business, and since people requested this fight, we are now getting it soon.

The money part influenced this fight the most, for sure. Alvarez camp knows and understand that instead of adding more belts in his career money is better than anything, just like what you said fans call for this fight and now both camps agree to make it possible, gamblers and those fans who awaited for this to happen are now ready to pick side and place their bets to whoever fighter they think that will win from this fight.

Both made millions of dollars on their last fight, and they will make massive money from PPV as for sure this fight will make the real boxing fans more interested to watch and pay for the premium live streaming. Good retirement fund for GGG if he will retire after this as it's always a big fight against Canelo, a chance to avenge his loss and to earn a decent amount.
