I am glad that this match is finally happening. The only thing I want is to have a honest jury. Adalaide Byrd made a mockery during the first fight and people like me lost our trust with boxing because of that. IMO, GGG won the first match although the jury handed it out as a draw. And in the second match, it was more like a draw, but the jury awarded it to Canelo. As such I don't have anything against Canelo, but it won't be unfair to him if I claim that without the help from the jury he wouldn't have defeated Golovkin in 2018.
Maybe this time they will get a compete judge to score the fight between the two. If I'm not mistaken, Byrd was suspended as a boxing judge after her scoring of the first fight, and if my memory serves me right, she retired after this controversy.
Anyhow, still a long way to go before this fight but it seems we really can't wait for it to happen. A lot of pros and cons and I will say that this fight could still be as close as the other 2, very hard to score.
Just hoping that this time the scoring will be done in an unbiased manner. As I had posted earlier, I don't believe that GGG holds an advantage for this match. That said, Canelo Álvarez is not in very good form either. A few weeks ago, he lost to Dmitry Bivol (and that too in the United States, with all that home advantage and thousands of fans cheering for him). BTW, it will be good to get a Golovkin vs Bivol fight in the future.
And there is a similarity between Golovkin and Bivol. Both of them were born in Central Asia. Golovkin was born in Kazakhstan, while Bivol was born in the neighboring Kyrgyzstan. And for both Golovkin and Bivol, on fathers side they are European (Golovkin's father is ethnic Russian, while Bivol's father is ethnic Moldvin), and on mother's side they are Korean.
