Unexpected results might happen. Although it's different in the case of the underdog Bivol against Canelo, the former is currently in his prime that's why even if he upset Canelo, it makes sense that he wins. GGG on the other hand is almost on his retirement and fighting a boxer that is currently in his prime and still young.

If the odds for GGG are decent, I might risk money for him. Not because I think he will win but I see GGG will give all his best in this fight as the final fight of his career. Maybe he can finally pull a win now because of his much higher determination.

some feels that GGG was cheated last time or maybe even GGG felt that he won his last fight with Canelo, so now, yes, the motivation to prove that he can defeat canelo fair and clear is always there. however, can he keep up with the younger canelo, now, that he is in the last stage of his career? he won over murata but with the determination of canelo to get back from his recent loss will play a major role here. in any case, this fight is a very good one to look forward to.

This particular fight is not appealing to me anymore. This is years too late and we have seen GGG struggled against a Murata. We saw how GGG reacted every time Murata threw solid punches and landed. I haven't seen the odds yet but this should minimum x2.6 to x3 for GGG. Maybe if Canelo haven't lost to Bivol, GGG's odds on winning would've minimum x4.

The same sentiment as well.

GGG received lots of punches that Murata connects during the early rounds of their fight which is supposed not to happen. Murata is also already in his post-prime career when he fought GGG. But who knows that GGG's pure potential will just be released since it's now Canelo he is facing unlike when he fought Murata that there's no vengeance or something like, it's necessary to do some dominance the whole fight.

Anyhow, the trilogy is really expected to happen and is already anticipated by most boxing enthusiasts.

At last! The most awaited trilogy between Canelo and GGG will happen this year. I'm really glad for the latter because for a long time, he waited and has been calling for this match.

Although, this fight should have happened years ago like @bisdak40 has said when GGG was much more capable and undoubtedly can give Canelo a hard time. Well at least, a trilogy will happen soon and this will probably be GGG's last fight before he decides to hang up his gloves.

After Canello lost to Bivol, it would be a strong move for GGG to deny Canello this fight. I see no point in this fight for GGG - firstly, GGG is already very old, and secondly, Canello is already defeated. Why give him a chance to rise (in the name of GGG) again?

I ain't gonna lie, it's Canelo.

Most likely yes, but we have already seen cases where, having suffered one defeat, previously invincible champions crumbled, I hope this is waiting for Canello.

It's officially announced that the trilogy between Canelo and GGG will happen this September 17 and the rematch with Bivol will wait or will not happen.

For me, this should happen years ago when GGG was not so old hehe but nevertheless fans will still watch this fight to see if GGG has still some tricks on his sleeve.

At the age of 31, Canelo looks to be nearing retirement. He appeared to have lost his motivation, or been in too many wars against Bivol.

What sucks for GGG is he has only 1 loss on his record to Canelo. And many felt GGG won both fights. A case could be made for GGG being undefeated at this point in his carer.

GGG might have to knock Canelo out to get a win. Removing the judges from the equation is the only chance he has of winning. Commentators and judges are too biased in Canelo's favor.

Canelo to me is the most overrated boxer in the world. I don't understand how he gets so much hype behind him.

After Bivol destroyed him in the ring, he is not as overrated as before. It confuses me how quickly this fight was announced after the loss to Bivol - is it really done in order to return the “halo” of a big boxer for Canello? GGG is definitely a big name, but he is 40 years old and I will be very upset if Canello wins now just because of his age.

Canelo seems to be fighting as often as he can these days.  Seems like he may know that his best days are behind him and he's trying to get as much money and put on as many top level fights as he can before he hangs up the gloves.  He was a hell of a fighter, but father time is undefeated.  I think he'll probably have a few good years left, but I think it's obvious that he is no longer in his fighting prime.

I haven't seen them both in the ring in a long time, I just saw Canelo vs Golovkin will meet in the ring this time, I wonder if this has an element of revenge for the two of them, after they met evenly a few years ago.

I'm sure the Canelo vs Golovkin meeting can be the boxing that many fans have been waiting for, it can be said that the most powerful boxing to come, As far as I know, if they officially meet on September 17, this will be the third meeting for them both.

The meeting between Canelo vs Golovkin this time will make the audience entertained and challenged, because the two of them haven't seen each other in the ring for a long time, considering that they are both very far apart in age 31 & 40, I'm also curious how the two of them will continue in the ring next time, I hope to find something to do this September 17th.

Their first fight was on September 16 2017, second fight on September 15 2018, and their third fight should have happened in the middle of September 2019, not 2022. If the fight would have happened, it would have answered all questions who is better. It would be perfect, if after their second fight, their third fight would be immediate. Instead GGG had 4 fights and Canelo 8. I would say that now their are same fighters they were in 2018, to figure out once and for all who is the best. Now, Canelo had more fight, more experience, GGG only became older. I see no drama in their third fight - Canelo win by UD.

win lambo...
All along, I was thinking that Canelo would have a rematch with Bivol, but I don't complain though, this one is better than the rematch. It's a trilogy, the anticipated fight of the fans, and although GGG is probably the underdog here, but I like his chance now on beating Canelo.

Big fight that everyone would surely love to see.

The fight everyone so wanted. The fight that should happen long time ago, when everyone were at their peak form. Now GGG is not as quick as he used to be. I predict that Canelo will win this fight and I predict Canelo fans started to talk like "told ya, Canelo is the greatest". This looks similar to Tyson Fury beating good old grandpa Mike Tyson and claiming he is the greatest and beaten Iron Mike. This will be more an opportunity to get their last or one the biggest cheques, than really proving who is better among them.

I have the feeling that Canelo will be very prepared for this as he wants to prove that he is better than GGG even after his recent loss. I believe, this would be a toe-to-toe fight which will be worth to watch. Now, it is on them who will give the KO to win this fight. I think the odds will be close for this match.

This is I think one of the boxing matches that will be worth looking forward to. Promoters will earn huge payout on this one. Maybe, last hurrah for GGG before he hang his gloves so Canelo should really take care of his training here.

I cannot imagine GGG hurting Canelo this time. I cannot think of a way GGG can win. But maybe, just maybe as Anthony Joshua said on his knockout lost to Andy Ruiz that it was a lucky punch sent by the gods.

At least Canelo making the good decision of giving us fans the needed trilogy instead of fighting Bivol again.

And this will be a career defining moment for him, I guess the lost to Bivol will give him motivation to finished off the storybook story between him and Canelo. Not sure if the odds are out yet, I haven't check but Canelo will be the favorite here despite his recent L.

That fight is won by decision which definitely needs rematch so I hope there will be another probably after with GG if he wins. Looking at it, its unsure that Canelo will win over GG. Although GG is older, he was tough fighting Murata. His stamina is good despite to constant attack on his body. He worked hard to get to have this 3rd  fight against Canelo.

Fighter are good in their last fight, so if we will go with this argument, then Canelo losing to Bivol is not good for him. Regardless, this is his rival so it will be interesting to see who will win this 3rd and hopefully final fight.

I might be leaning towards Alvarez here, even if this is going to be 160 or 168 lbs, I think he can beat this version of Golokvin.

A good decision but not because of the fans. It was because if he will fight Bivol again, he might finally end up losing again. Haven't you noticed how silent Canelo is after he loses? If he really thinks he can go a win against Bivol in a rematch, he will surely be vocal about it. There's hesitation because he knows to himself he can't handle the underdog Bivol for the 2nd time. Cheesy

Instead, he chooses to fight against the older GGG and stick with the supposed original plan if he wins against Bivol. He thinks he can handle easily that old guy plus awaiting big money that will be generated by this match instead of fighting Bivol in a rematch.

I am terrible at Fantasy Football!!!
People would really be still loving to see this Trilogy which lots had been anticipating for too long and now it would really happen. THanks for the share up bud.
I do agree that it should really be done few years back where GGG isnt really still near on his retirement or simply being old but for sure he do still have something into his sleeves.
But i would really be still considering for Canelo on closing this one for good.  Wink
We all know what happened, Canelo was being groomed as the next big star and taking into account how the first two fights played out then it is obvious the people behind Canelo did not wanted to risk a defeat against GGG, but now that Canelo has lost against Bivol then he needs to beat someone with a big name and GGG is the perfect opponent, for that however I do not think it is going to be an easy match for Canelo and if he does not train properly I could see GGG beating him.

GGG and Canelo is tailor made against each other, and this will be another close match. Although GGG is almost 40 years old, he will want to avenge his only lost in boxing. So for me, he is the more motivated and hungrier boxer in this fight.

And for boxer bettors, this is a good opportunity if he is going to be the underdog here. So I might go with GGG just because I'm a big fan of him and wanted to see him win.

I'd be praying and cheering for GGG but I won't be making a bet.

I'll also do that I believe in Canelo but will not make a bet, this is a dangerous fight for Canelo and there's a risk in investing in Canelo, many lose their bet in the Canelo -  Bivol fight and there's a possibility that it could happen here again, Golovkin will study Canelo's match against Bivol and he will try to do better than Bivol, he can do better because he is an experienced boxer and tested Canelo's power already.
