Crawford's camp thinks that their boxer is too much fame and popular if his camp disagrees with the 60/40 split. Spence has the right to ask for that and he can even make it 70/30 if he will push for a big demand. There's only 1 title that Crawford holds and requesting for a 50/50 is totally non-sense and not appropriate.

Spence can ignore Crawford if they will insist on that as from the very beginning, he is not interested at all and can move up a weight. Easy as that.

But as far as browsing some reports, there's no mention that Crawford likes 50/50 and will just allow his promoter to do the negotiation.

If Spence really wants that legacy defining fight then he just might have to make a bit of a sacrifice. Crawford has the final belt that Spence needs and he could use the same strategy that Caleb Plant used when he was negotiating with Canelo and hold out for more money.

I'm a bit late, it was a good fight from both Ugas and Spence. Ugas show good counter punch and could make Spence in trouble on the 6th rounds, I haven't seen Spence is in trouble like this one. Ugas take to much punches from Spence, if Spence didn't hit Ugas's eye... I believe the fight will last 12 rounds, even Spence still won the fight.

Now it will be Crawford vs Spence in the next fight, the one who win will become undisputed champions.

Spence is holding plenty of belts, maybe 60% of the total split is justifiable for him.

Not bad at all, I guess would agree with that split, 40 for him, 60 for Spence, besides, if he could beat Spence he will be the undisputed champion if I'm not mistaken. This fight should be realize to grant the wish of the fans, no other boxers that could fight the two best fighters now that would make the fans excited to watch.

“Everybody knows who I want next. I want Terence Crawford next.”

The last tasks before moving up a weight. The showdown on who's the undisputed champion for the 147 pounds will now emerge. Crawford's desire to have a big title match is now slowly happening and they should just agree right away. A 60/40 split in favor of Spence is reasonable and Crawford just accepts that without a doubt. After all, if the latter wins, expect more big purse in his future fight.

I will lock this thread later on.
That's what Crawford also said after disposing of Porter now that Spence is saying it now it will be both fighter's reference in case something wrong in their negotiation, both fighters should understand fights between the two of them are career-defining and they must move everything to get this fast, we love fighters from the fast who takes a champion stance and just fought who they think that will establish their legacy.

At least we here Crawford's name in Spence mouth now, so the chances of this fight happening later this year has multiplied. It will be easy to deal with Crawford since he is his own manager, just a matter of split and ego as who will be the A-side.

But with the huge money involved, then for sure it will motivate both sides to sit down and negotiate to make this fight happen.

Congrats to the winner of this fight, I never see it coming. I know that Spence will win, but not by stoppage like this.

One thing is for sure, Spence is not Pacquiao and he is more aggressive and more power puncher than him. Ugas might think that he beat the old Pacquiao, he can beat everyone in their division right now and he might get surprised when he takes some punches prom Spence. Can't wait for this fight to happen and to see how Spence can quickly counter that long reach of Ugas which he used to beat Pacquiao. It's hard to predict that it would be a knockout but anything can happen inside the ring and still I bet for Spence to win this one.

Congratulations to Errol Spence what he have shown inside the ring a while ago is definitely a great fight that was worth to watch for. And indeed, Spence is far different to Pacquiao and he shows us a solid performance that leads to his victory via knock out against Ugas. I mean for me there's no point of comparing the two fighter between Spence and Pacquiao both are good fighter in their respective timeline. Now, I am very sure that this is a great milestone to Spence career, however, I must think that Spence vs. Crawford is kind of an anticipated fight if given a chance.

I hope this time there will be no throwing of accusations on both fighters that they are avoiding each other, the boxing community is anticipating this fight and this is one fight that will establish their legacy and a spot in the hall of boxing greats they should not make any more excuses, they should worked on the purse, they will regret it if they failed to make a deal, this is one fight that will define their career.
I think there is a big chance the fight will actually happen, it seems Spence wants the fight and Crawford wants the same, the only issue will be the money but that can be fixed by their managers, I also think that due to the pandemic and the limited activity boxers had back then we are not seeing boxers avoiding each other as much as they did in the past as they know they need to get back the attention of the public, which is why we are seeing so many unification fights happen in a fast succession.

This unification fight will fetch big numbers so that will give motivation to both to push thru this match.
Now, it depends on how their promoters will split the purse, I just hope they don't disagree much.
If Errol is up for it, I hope Crawford also. This is a four-belt unification fight, I hope they will give this fight to their boxing fans.
Would be nice if we will see it this year, maybe before the year ends. A nice closing for all the boxing fans.
The odds am guessing would be very close, and Errol may be the slight favorite, just guessing.

Spence said that "we all know who I am coming next and it's what the people want" and then he mentioned that he is coming for Crawford. We will see some update soon regarding about their fight.

He should keep his words Crawford also wanted him badly, these two should have fought last year, there are so many accusations and excuses in both camps, Crawford makes it appear that Spence doesn't want to fight him and so is Spence if this year if there is no final contract signing, then these two boxers really don't want to settle things in the ring and they are all just talks.

Now is the time for them to fight, Spence is back and healthy and he had a big win against Ugas. Right now, he is the most celebrated boxer in the welterweight as he is holding 3 belts already, so that alone is a big opportunity for Crawford to get if Spence will give that anticipated fight.

Spence now have 3 titles already versus 1 title of Crawford, so it's just right that he will demand a bigger share on the purse.
Crawford must be so eager to get that belts, but it will only happen if both would agree with the sharing.
In the end, the money issue has to be resolve for this fight to happen.

The only one who is quiet right now is Terence Crawford, but let's give him some time like 24 to 48 hours from now because the fight have just finished and we should give some time for Spence to celebrate too because he really did well on the fight, it was entertaining. At the post-fight presscon he is unscathed unlike Ugas who's eyes really swell and I barely recognized him. Also, Spence said that "we all know who I am coming next and it's what the people want" and then he mentioned that he is coming for Crawford. We will see some update soon regarding about their fight.

Anyhow, I would agree that this is a very good performance by Spence. He doesn't need to go to 154 lbs, just stay in this division and then face Crawford next. No need to talk about the purse split, he can have 60% of it and hopefully Crawford will agree because he thinks he can beat Spence.

That's the story now, a 60/40 split in favor of Spence has to be realized if we want to see this fight happening. Now, that Spence is officially back and proves that he is still the same person after everything, then Crawford should speak early so we will not expect if he would not agree with the sharing.
He is still good I thought he will have a hard time and will go for decision but that long lay off has no bad effect on his performance I consider Spence the undisputed champion in the welterweight for beating Ugas a match with Crawford' should now happen their promoters and their corners should push to make it happen

Congrats Spence. Almost, if refs did not pause the fight to check on Spence, Ugas could have go for a KO as one time in the fight he hurt Spence bad. The comments I saw were saying that refs are rigging the fight, I don't know, don't want to judge but it looks like it. LOL.

Anyway, this fight is very entertaining, it's a toe to toe fight and Spence showed his power if was a TKO (stoppage) because the doctor might not want to see Ugas blind if the fight still continues.

It's interesting to note though that the ref (Lawrence Cole) was the same ref on the Manny Pacquiao vs Antonio Margarito fight where he refuses to stop the fight even though the eyes of Margarito were damaged and bloodied on that day. Seems to me that he favored Margarito that day, the same that he favor Barrera in his first fight Pacman, just my cents lol.

This ref should be investigated, he was criticized by the announcer when he stop the fight a bit to give Spence a breather, that was wrong, Ugas could have KO Spence if ref did not do that because there was plenty of time left on that certain round.

Yeah, Lawrence Cole have a history of making bad calls, he was the referee as well during the Loma-Salido fight.

There's no news about this yet, probably that wasn't big enough to create a controversy.
What people are talking about now is the potential big fight of Spence vs Crawford, I hope they'll be able to agree and finalized that fight this year.
