Frank Warren is the promoter of Tyson Fury and he says that basically there is no deal in place and Tyson Fury will not sign up to the fight with Joshua until the money is guaranteed by a bank. Warren said:

"That's where it is. I'm not going down the road of where the fight's going to take place, who those negotiations are with because it's all moot at the moment."

It is clear Eddie Hearn (promoter of Anthony Joshua) has been exaggerating the whole situation by claiming a country had offered to pay lots of money to host the fight but the fact is nothing has happened. He was stringing Fury along and by default he was stringing his fighter Joshua too.

Months after the contract to arrange the fight has expired there is still no venue and no money has been guaranteed.

I blame Hearn for this fiasco because he was so desperate to pocket his share of the commission from the fight he allowed this mess to occur. If Hearn did not have a deal in place with any country then he should never have spread misinformation in the media about the fight going ahead.

Hearn is a slick salesman and he can make people believe anything. That's why so many are blaming Tyson Fury's side for the fight not happening even though it is reasonable that he would want some kind of guarantee that the money he is being offered is actually there. Fighters get ripped off all the time and you can't just blindly accept $75 million dollars that might not exist. He could be fighting Wilder for half that amount instead but at least he would have peace of mind knowing that the money is sitting in a bank and he can legally claim it when he fulfills all the requirements of the contract.

In other words, this fight has no assurance to happen as well? I think they are just giving us reasons because of the current situation where they cannot maximize their earnings due to lack of pay-per-view money when it comes to this fight. We are still in the second wave of the pandemic so it simply means when they make this fight happen this year, their earnings are not really that high and they also miss some opportunities since the other company won't take participation in this fight because they already know they will only get low percentage gain.

That could boil down to the money they will generate in this game, Fury and Joshua have a big purse on this fight if it will happen, without big funding it will not happen and IMO, it's really difficult to raise a huge amount during this time, so maybe they are just saving it at the right timing.

For now, Fury and Joshua have to win fights if they want to preserve that excitement and sure they can find the right time once the pandemic is over.
Fury has to end the trilogy by a win against Wilder so Wilder can fully accept his defeat and he will stop talking, maybe we will see that fight happening soon as that is a potential income-generating.

There's no other opponent of Fury that could excite us, except Joshua. We would not know who will be the best heavyweight fighter if two will not meet, it's not good for boxing and fans would not be happy on that as they only hype things out but turn out not realizing it.
The best Heavyweight is hands down Tyson Fury as he always fought high profile opponents as an underdog away from his home and yet he was able to defeat each and every one of the high profile opponents and even when Tyson returned after a few years he was able to defeat Deontay Wilder and then the judges messed up and then in the rematch he proved his worth as the best in the world.
Honestly its unpredictable but once those fighters inside on the ring then you can already able to tell out on who does have the advantage but as long the fight isnt over

then tendency of such changes of situation could really happen from time to time.I agree into those words that this fight had been anticipated by many and it would be much more better
to make out some revenue out of this fight rather than letting those boxers find another opponent which isnt really even that interesting to see on.

As of the moment, Fury has a good chance of finding a good match as they can proceed the Wilder vs Fury 3, which is for me a big fight and time for Fury to end the countless excuse of Wilder if he can again KO Wilder. hopefully, there's positive news regarding this fight, for me it's more interesting than any fight now in the heavyweight since Fury vs Joshua fight was not realize.
It is impossible to create any sort of hype between Wilder and Fury 3 because in the first two fights everyone witnessed who the best boxer was as Tyson Fury dominated Wilder even though he was returning after a long break and he just landed less than a dozen shots and one big shot which Tyson Fury was able to overcome and even after that knockdown Tyson Fury was winning the fight and the second fight was a complete domination from start to finish and if not for the corner stoppage he will be hurt badly.

Hearn says one thing and Arum says something different. Fury and Joshua just do not seem like they are even trying to keep the hype up but Hearn is after a big pay day with his commission.

There was something wrong about this when the fight was announced, I am not convinced it will go ahead in 2021. Maybe Joshua should fight Oleksandr Usyk and Fury should find a different opponent.

It's already been over a week since the final contract was supposedly sent to Tyson Fury and we have yet to hear anything. Hopefully they will interview Hearn and Fury during the broadcast of the Canelo fight so we can get some answers as to why they haven't closed the deal.

You missed the update, this fight will not happen anymore as shared by.
News being leaked is the Fury vs Joshua fight might not go ahead. Bob Arum (promoter for Fury) said it is "dead in the water".

That's why we don't talk about it anymore because we already lose the excitement of this fight, this is a big fight and the promoter would like to make huge money from this, but it seems the negotiation does goes well.

Arum said it was dead in the water because he thought it would take too long to come to an agreement with the Saudis on all of their demands. The next day Eddie Hearn, who is the one negotiating directly with the Saudis, said they would have everything agreed to by the weekend. We are getting mixed messages and the fight is not officially dead until the hosts withdraw their $150 million offer.

Too bad the Joshua vs Tyson fight won't be happening as I originally anticipated. Have there been any official announcements about the fight not happening? It sucks because its a fight that I've been looking forward to only to hear that it might not even be happening.

~Snipped
Eddie Hearn talked about the date of August 14 in Saudi Arabia and lets wait for the official announcement and hopefully it will take a long time.

August is a long, long time to wait but that's if the fight would eventually happen. Promoters always wants fights to come several months later just so they can can cash-in as much as possible.

The problem with these kind of high profile fights is that it takes a long time to negotiate and sign the contract and hopefully we will see the fight irrespective of having audience in the arena. There are also plans about Tyson and Joshua finding other opponents until there global situation clams down and the reason is that the promoters want to cash in the millions that they will be getting with the live gate with a high profile fight like this.
Hopefully we will hear about the fight announcement in the coming weeks.

At this point I am not going to believe the fight will happen until I see both Fury and Joshua signing the contract and claiming they are going to fight, promoters believe that by doing all of this they benefit the sport but it is really unnecessary, it is a reunification fight, winner takes all on the most popular division on boxing, the heavyweight division, among the best fighters we have at the moment
I am also waiting for them to sign the contract and announce the fight date official as it is taking a long time and it is testing the patience of all the fight fans as we just want to see this fight happen when they are in their prime and boxing has the habit of testing the patience of the boxing fans and so is the reason UFC gained more popularity as they always makes match up the fight fans wanted.

You missed the update, this fight will not happen anymore as shared .
Eddie Hearn confirmed that the fight date will be announced officially and the area is confirmed and the fight will take place in Saudi Arabia and the reason for the long delay is because of the pandemic situation and these promotors always look for opportunities to make more money and they were expecting to conduct the fight in a huge stadium in the UK with audience but they need to switch that idea according to the situation and now the expected date for the fight is August 14 as per Eddie Hearn.

Hearn is still convincing people there was some secret reason he could not openly declare where the fight would take place but this is bad PR on his part. It should have been out in the open weeks ago but it is still shrouded in secrecy.

It is sad. I was so glad when it seemed that this match would be organized and carried out very quickly, but now everything is returning to the old schemes - painful negotiations for several years and the fight when it may have lost its relevance (or just annoying due to a long wait). By the way, it will be funny if one of these two boxers is defeated in intermediate bouts, given the fact that their opponents are serious, this is very likely.

I think is about more than money. Fury vs Joshua is the blockbuster money fight that we all want because the winner will be undisputed heavyweight champion of the world holding all the belts. The only person trying to make the fight happen is Eddie Hearn because he will earn lots of money but the fighters do not seem too bothered about getting behind the fight.

Why has there never been an announcement about exactly which country the fight will take place in? Hearn claims a deal has been signed but he never actually stated which country will put up the money to host the fight. The deal that they signed 6 weeks ago expired on the 4th week so technically they are not obligated to fight each other any more.

I think the fight will probably not go ahead this year, Fury will fight another opponent (maybe Wilder) and then Joshua will fight the mandatory challenger Oleksandr Usyk.
