News being leaked is the Fury vs Joshua fight might not go ahead. Bob Arum (promoter for Fury) said it is "dead in the water". Bob Arum already cast doubt on this fight going ahead asking why Hearn is being secretive about the location.

Finally, Eddie Hearn (promoter for Joshua) admitted today in an interview that if he cannot get the deal done by the end of next week Fury could have a blockbuster trilogy with Wilder and that would mean Joshua fighting mandatory challenger Oleksandr Usyk.

There is £200 million attacked to this fight so all parties should be making sure it takes place but Hearn is being secretive for reasons not yet known: Daily Mirror Sports Page
I read that news as well and what can I say? This is incredibly disappointing, we want to see a reunification match, we want to see the two boxers currently holding world tittles going at it with everything they have, Fury going for the trilogy against Wilder is the logical move if this fight does not happen and I am sure Wilder will jump at the opportunity to recover his tittle and beat Fury, and in the case Wilder won, something that it is unlikely if the previous fight is any indication, then a fourth fight will be needed to see who is the best out of the two.

I guess Wilder has lost that opportunity before by delaying the fight, now that Fury vs Joshua fight negotiation is not going any better, then probably Wilder had to clear his mind and a man to accept his previous defeat so he can prepare for this fight. This is a trilogy, a fight where he can prove that he is still here, and if he beat Fury, then he will gain the respect of the fan again, simple as that.

I think is about more than money. Fury vs Joshua is the blockbuster money fight that we all want because the winner will be undisputed heavyweight champion of the world holding all the belts. The only person trying to make the fight happen is Eddie Hearn because he will earn lots of money but the fighters do not seem too bothered about getting behind the fight.

Why has there never been an announcement about exactly which country the fight will take place in? Hearn claims a deal has been signed but he never actually stated which country will put up the money to host the fight. The deal that they signed 6 weeks ago expired on the 4th week so technically they are not obligated to fight each other any more.

I think the fight will probably not go ahead this year, Fury will fight another opponent (maybe Wilder) and then Joshua will fight the mandatory challenger Oleksandr Usyk.

The latest news seemed more optimistic. Frank Warren who is Fury's co-promoter said that they now have the contract for the site deal in Saudi Arabia. It seems like everybody in the boxing media has an agenda in favor or against certain promoters so this could all just be spin. These could be non-legally binding contracts, which is something Bob Arum had complained about earlier. We have also seen Fury trash talking Eddie Hearn this past week so if he doesn't like the contracts he could easily just call the fight off.

I thought it was already signed, now we are hearing bad news?

I was thinking that we are going to witness this fight soon, let me guess, is it again about the money?
For sure if they will get their expectations on financials, nothing would come as a problem in this fight.

Lots of good matchups this year that will not happen and they involve Bob Arum.

first, the Crawford vs Pacquiao which was recently off. now, this one.

The majority win and I think Fury is the favorite boxer here, with the vote of 37 at this moment.

But sad to say that Fury won't able to fight Joshua just because of what the promoter said. However, I'm excited about who will be the opponent of Fury at this time, I'm still guessing on it if that is Deontay Wilder Trilogy, it is a good fight.

~snip~
Joshua's opponent is just boring. sorry about that.
It's well said.

That's very disappointing, we have already expected that fight this year due to the news that it's a done deal, but here we are again, back to the speculation stage on whether this fight will still have a chance or Fury these fighters will fight their respective opponents. I guess the most interesting to discuss if this fight really has no chance is Fury vs Wilder Trilogy.. Joshua's opponent is just boring. sorry about that.

That is funny but it is such a shame, everyone was surprised when Ruiz beat Joshua and took all his belts but then when I watched the second fight and I saw how much lighter Joshua was and how much heavier Ruiz was I knew he had no chance, now he looks great, if he was in that shape during the second fight against Joshua maybe he could still have lost but we would have seen a way more interesting fight than the one we saw in which Ruiz was a complete disappointment.
Upsets do happen in this sport, however, we can tell what can of upset that a boxer was only lucky that's why he won. We've seen it on Ruiz win and on Alexander Povetkin win against Dillian Whyte, both of these fighters lose easily in the rematch.
I am not so sure that I would say that it was just luck, Joshua underestimated his rival and I think he picked the wrong opponent, we must remember that Joshua was set to fight another boxer but then they had to find a replacement and they choose Ruiz because they thought Joshua could beat him easily, then the third round happened and as they say the rest is history, however as I said I am not saying that Ruiz could beat Joshua in his current shape I am just saying that it would have been a more interesting fight as the second one was incredibly boring.
It was boring because Joshua was playing more defense, he was more careful as he would not allow being knock out again, he has effectively used his reach and height to jab Ruiz, and since Ruiz is not also fast, he was ineffective in that fight and his being a champion was already short. That fight tells that every fighter has a chance to win in the rematch as it all depends on the strategy they use, they made a mistake in the first fight, they can adjust in the 2nd fight to win.

The fight venue is no more if it possible that it will take place in Saudi Arabia because JoshuaVsRuiz2 took place there, it actually about the money, if there's a Billionaire in Dubai that's ready to throw money big than the $100Million the Saudi king family offered the fight venue might change.
I do not think that Dubai will be able to bid higher than Saudi Arabia simply because they have unlimited resources and these events are conducted in Saudi because they are trying to change their image globally and they are paying everyone handsomely and the Wwe even conducted special shows in Saudi according to their demands .
You can compare WWE fight venue choosing with box because if the money is good the event will take place with a demand except if the camp involve decided not to which is rare.
Saudi Arabia, may be planning to change their image globally which I believe is good for them but that doesn't mean Dubai won't bid higher for the fight if they wanted.

It's starting to look uncertain if this fight will still happen. The deal was supposed to be finalized last week but it has still not been made official. I hope it does not turn out like Pacquiao vs. Crawford. This was what Bob Arum had to say:

“Eddie Hearn is busy trying to sell the London Bridge,” Arum said. “Let me tell you – last time I talked to Eddie was early last week and he said he was going to have a signed agreement from the Saudis in 24 hours. Well, he’s a little late. Wouldn’t you be pessimistic if you haven’t heard from him or anybody for a week? We’re the promoter with Frank (Warren) of Fury and we haven’t heard from Eddie in a week.”

You have to laugh because Fury has a brilliant sense of humour.

They met during the weekend but after Ruiz lost all that weight Fury said to Ruiz: "Look at you, chubbyGrin

Upset could really happen on where the heavily favorite was beaten up by the underdog but those beat ups arent really sticking out with some lucky punch but rather because of some factors
that mainly affect towards their boxing performance which it cant really be known before the fight. So as a fighter then you shouldnt really always look down on whatever opponent would it be.
You wouldnt know on when comeback happens even if you are being the favorite to be likely to win but it isnt always a guarantee.

This is a good development,  $100 million per fighter is expected and it looks like they'll get this with the present set up.
I guess they should not look for other venue, it's already guaranteed and this fight will be successful.

The money that the Saudis offered is even bigger than we imagined. The site fee for this fight is $150 million and the fighters will each earn $75 million. With the pay-per-view-sales they are expecting they could end up earning over $100 million each.

The proposed site fee to stage the Tyson Fury vs. Anthony Joshua fight in Saudi Arabia exceeds $150 million, shattering the record for any site fee for a boxing event, according to ESPN's Mark Kriegel.

The latest news is that Bob Arum has revealed that the fight will indeed take place in Saudi Arabia. The final details are still not decided but the date of this fight will be in late July or early August. I'm sure the British fans will be disappointed they can't attend this event but it would be crazy to turn down the amount of money the Saudis are willing to offer.

Exactly, it's all for the money baby!!! We all know that there are a lot of billionaires in Saudi that is willing to pour their money just to host this kind of big fights, regardless if we have the pandemic or not.

So I don't have any complains about it, as long as they fight will happen this year so be it.

It will be interesting though the Eddie Hearn has agreed to a reported 9 figure deal with DAZN. And ending his almost 10 years relationship with Sky Sports.

https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/boxing/anthony-joshua-vs-tyson-fury-23959685
It seems all of the reports that we are seeing about the location of the fight are false and there is still not a place for the fight, personally the only reason I care about this is because until we have everything in order the fight still could not happen, other than that I do not care if they fight on the moon or in mars as long as the fight does indeed take place, however I do not see anything wrong with the fight taking place in more exotic locations instead of the usual ones like Las Vegas.
I dont really also care on where's the venue of this fight because it would really be just all the same and they might really be still finding one which do really suits out for them in terms of revenue or
any other reason but fans wouldnt really care that much as long this one would push through and that what matter most. When it comes to these pending schedules and turns out to remain
for too long then there are times which i do really get pissed and just move along and dont mind if ever this fight would happen for this year or not.
