Thanks again you keep this thread for a lively discussion.

Congrats to those who won their bets on this match, whether by KO win, under 7.5 or the exact round or round range.

So we will have to wait and see if Garcia vs Davis could be made late this year or early 2023. For sure majority of us wanted to see that huge fight.

Just by watching Garcia's fight against Fortuna, I don't see that he can beat Davis. Maybe that's also the reason why he added some weights because he knows that he can't beat Davis. Davis is a very good and strong counter puncher and just by looking on how he defeated Romero in his last fight, I don't think Garcia can but anything can happen. One punch can change everything. Many are waiting for Garcia-Davis fight and if they will fight this year then it would be a fight of the year candidate Cheesy.
In the fight with Fortuna, Garcia dominated from the very beginning, I wanted to believe that the fight could be more equal. But Fortuna tried to inflict some significant blows only in the second round, but to no avail. I didn’t understand what happened in the fourth round, Fortuna fell to his knee after the push and for some reason threw a mouth guard into the ring, what was it, he tried to rest? Smiley By the way, Garcia was throwing strong punches from the first round, he didn't try to save his strength, apparently, the calculation from the very beginning was for a quick end to the fight. In the fifth round, Garcia hit Fortuna well in the head, it was beautiful, but Fortuna got up and even snap. But the difference in the class of boxers was very noticeable, Garcia hits harder and he significantly outperformed his opponent in speed. In the sixth round, everything ended with a knockout, perhaps Fortuna could have stood up to continue the fight, but he simply understood how superior Garcia is.

Whether Garcia was able to spend all 12 rounds so actively, we again will not know, since his opponent was not as hardy as I originally thought. I think that one day Garcia will get an equal tougher opponent and then his strategy may not work for all 12 rounds. In the meantime, he feels confident, congratulations to him on another victory!

One critic though is that Garcia fought a 135 pounder in 140 lbs division, so he has all the advantage and the leverage in this fight and he do had to do, that is to knockout a 135 lbs.

And then again, he call Davis, so which weight they are going to face? 135 or 140? He said that he won't back down in weight for nothing? So really confusing as to what Ryan is trying to accomplish, and which weight category he wanted to stay?

I say just average performance by Ryan, sure the power is there, but I think Davis has more power than Ryan. He doesn't have that head movement, he just keeps coming straight. And if he fight like that against Davis, who is very cerebral in the ring, for sure he will get knock out by that. It's a win though so no question about it, but it's just a so so performance and everyone expected that he should knock out Fortuna which he did.

It's just like a tune up match, Ryan Garcia displayed his usual fighting style but still needs to work on some stuff. I'm more impressed by Javier Fortuna when he got knocked out then spit his mouth piece to buy some time to recover, what a veteran move.

This is what we expect in this fight, a cherry pick and tune up match for Ryan Garcia. This is his second fight already and it seems that the confidence inside the ring is back. Or it could be that he split it because he has difficulty breathing because it was a heavy body shot.

I hope the fight bet Ryan Garcia vs Tank Davi will happen this end of the year.

I highly doubt it though, I mean it will be hard pressed for Golden Boy and PBC to sit down and have a negotiation. Oscar already admitted it in his interviews that Al Haymon is very difficult to deal with. But we will see. If there is so much money in the table then why not? Garcia has been asking for this fight many years ago before he had his mental issues.

And speaking of this fight, I put a bet on under 7.5 rounds at 1.80 for just a medium bet. Just to have some fun watching this fight and let's see if Ryan can finished Fortuna with his signature left hook power.
Good job with your pick, Garcia won via TKO with his left hook on the round six, enjoy the 1.80x odds Wink

Nothing surprised Garcia is winning again, I have told Fortuna's prime already passed and he already suffer many losses when he's already get older. I think getting paycheck fighting with Garcia is enough for him, he may didn't get another good paycheck if he fight other boxer. So yeah, I will wait the next fight between Garcia vs Tank, I hope he wouldn't lie and cherry pick another weak boxer.

Thank you mate, yeah, not expecting Fortuna to last that long against the hard hitting and fully rejuvenated Ryan Garcia.

But as you have said, it's no surprised and just a matter of time before that left landed, whether body shot or up in the chin, it will be the same result, a knock out. Hopefully, Garcia vs Tank will be made, if not bring Garcia to another level fighter in Light Welterweight.

And now that Ryan has won another tune-up match, I guess it's about time that he will be given a real opponent. Fortuna wasn't the man obviously.

He's again calling out a great boxer in Gervonta. I wish Tank's team would also want the match to happen. I wish a deal would be reached between Golden Boy and Mayweather promotions as well. And I hope that by this time Ryan's team would not end up choosing another pawn to be fed to their king. Tank is the small man in this match so I hope they won't worry too much about their baby boy.

Garcia can easily hit thru his jabs and left hooks and win rounds until he'd be caught with a power punch. So there is the 50/50 chance for each.
Floyd will be weighing his gain and will not let this fight happen if he sees his favorite Davis could possibly drop. Both party knows their career can just end suddenly like Amir Khan's but maybe if the price is right.

But there's a big money in this fight so Floyd might be tempted. Who knows? I hope he'll be tempted, if not for the fight itself then perhaps for the revenue. Not to mention that Ryan is calling Tank out and Tank has responded through Twitter although not in a straightforward manner.

This match is exciting. Let's see how this king will fare against a fighter who is truly top-tier. Ryan is the one who's demanding for this. He must have been looking at some stats and seeing that he's got the advantage felt confident that he could take this man.

if the promoters will see huge demand about the possible match of garcia vs davis, i believe they will make it happen. for now, i think they are also checking the pulse of the boxing community. and how much they can generate from this fight. would be nice if we will see this fight before the year ends. that's the business of boxing these days. the respective promoters are weighing their purse first and not following their boxer's desire.

It's also depends from the handlers if they are willing to risk their money making cow, I mean yes there's a huge amount of money if the fight will happen but once the fighter loss the chance for bringing his hype back into the top is another thing, though for sure if the money talk louder than usual, the fight will take place.

Will going to wait if they will hype this possible fight up and see if how the people and the sport industry will bite it up.

Davis has the power and Ryan is impressive with his speed. They really need to face each other now and stop fighting the boxers below them. If Ryan can carry out his timing and speed against Davis he will likely win their match. The kid is impressive with his precise jabs against Fortuna. But if they are not going to make this Davis vs Garcia happen, boxing will just be a gag and easy win to bet for the crowd's favorite

Unlike the old times, when they will rush the fight between the current best boxers in any weight division, nowadays they will gather as much income as they want from fighting the low-class boxer first until they try to risk their fighter on their rightful opponents. This is a good tactic especially when it comes to making money but for us spectators, it's really boring and no fun anymore because we don't see the usual clash we always saw back then in the sport of boxing.

It's the practice now since those handlers see the big money behind this sport. It's no longer being the top but the amount that fighters and his camp can take from each fight that they will have. It's very obvious that the call against Davis is hyping before this fight happens against Fortuna. let's see if there's an update to whether Garcia will go down to face Davis as to how he wanted for this fight to take place. Negotiations or just a hype to see if more fans will buy this news and look for more updates.

Both will definitely create a very exciting and a very impressive fight if ever the fight will be granted in the future. With Davis being undefeated in all his games as he bulldozes through his opponents, and Ryan having its own legendary speed that defeated all his opponents, there's no reason that their fight should not be put in the ring. I would love to see the game really, as both undefeated legends will now be tested.

Ryan did a great job as expected, a knock out win which is the usual scenario of Garcia fight. Looking forward for his more matches, Davis will surely be a big contender here and we know Ryan will not take this easily and will train harder. Garcia is young and very talented, we can expect more from this guy. For now, let Ryan enjoy his winning first before stressing out about his next match.
This is still a big win, having a knock out win is not easy especially if you are fighting against a good boxer as well. Garcia dominates the match, and I wonder why many are still disappointed with the result, maybe they just lose their bets. Well, Garcia should take rest for now and enjoy his winning better for him not to focus on his future matches to avoid any mental health issues again, Garcia will surely have a good match again maybe still have a match for this year.

Most likely because they could  just challenge a decent fighter and skip this one, it's very obvious that the promoter just wanted to see Ryan Garcia have an impressive win because getting into a big fight, and this is it.

they are just seeing to it if Ryan Garcia is surely ready for Tank Davis, and Ryan Garcia did chipping away Fortuna, little by little until his punches have reached out to his brain that he really is hurt, I think against Javier Fortuna his Punches was very effective on him, he even drops his mouthpiece on purpose to buy him some time, a cheeky thing for him to do, Ryan Garcia was very aggressive from the start of the fight, and he really got Fortuna on that 2nd time Knockdown, I think Garcia has shown his worth in facing Tank Davis next,

I hope the fight bet Ryan Garcia vs Tank Davi will happen this end of the year.

I'm optimistic with that because I believe that Ryan Garcia will have no problem winning this fight.

In my opinion, Gervonta Tank Davis has some crazy feats I still think that Gervonta Davis is a nightmare to many boxers, while Garcia surely got that fire power on his fist, Gervonta Davis got it all, but yeah we got to wait until they meet inside the ring,

I think that liver shot/punch is common in the wards of Reynoso. I've seen videos of Canelo and Ryan Garcia when he was still in the wings of Reynoso practicing that shot and if i'm not mistaken, that was the same shot that took Campbell down for good.

I agree, this was just a normal performance for Garcia and you could see his flaws there and if they won't change that, it could be disaster for them if they face Tank Davis next which i don't think will happen this year because of weight issue. Ryan said that he would not be coming back to 135 and i can say that Davis is just too small for that division and Ryan might exploit that height advantage.

It's a blessing in disguise that i'm too busy lately that i have not put my bet for this fight  Smiley.

It was the same shot that takes down Campbell, I can see the aggressiveness from Ryan Garcia but why super excited in taking Gervonta Davis, because I think he needs to be sure before taking out the Tank, even though Garcia really has those punching strength but he surely doesn't need to be cocky about it, Gervonta Tank Davis in my opinion still has the scariest boxing style if Javier Fortuna doesn't post a threat to this kid, then Gervonta will surely get him into his place,

Davis is doing the right thing, he is not picking up easy fights unlike Garcia, but we will not complain anymore, let's just wait that both will face in a big fight, and that will only happen if Garcia will beat Fortuna.  Hopefully this year, I think there's still enough time after this fight.

I think under Goosen, he learns how to tuck his chin now and becoming more of a body puncher. The first punch was a fake head shot and then Fortuna covered upstair, so Ryan go down and hit him perfectly, so that's good if he can developed that and not head hunting first at least to throw his opponent in the beginning.

As for the Tank, Ryan said that he is no longer going back to 135 as well, so if there is a chance that a mega-fight between him and Davis happen, it will be in this weight limit now and it's up to his camp whether to accept it or force Ryan to 135 and drain him.
