No dream is too big and no dreamer is too small
@Vaculin, I hope this time we will really see a big knockout win by Garcia.

Sometimes, what he said is not going to happen in the actual fight, but I love his confidence, that only means he was disappointed on himself for not winning by KO in his first fight this year, so he wants to correct that with an impressive win.

For sure, he might go for a KO win here, that's what we all wanted to see from Ryan, just like what he did to Duno (a promising boxer from Philippines, but then he knock him out).

So he needs to be impressive here, hand speed and then his powerful left hook, a perfect punch and it's over for Fortuna. He also needs to show that he has learn new techniques from Goosen too, maybe a stiff jab like his boss, Oscar dela Hoya during his prime.

I am certain he watched his last fight over and over again, and learned what needs to be done next time around. So if he wants to make a good impression to his boxing fans this Fortuna fight, we should see an improved Garcia here. He is being groomed as another prizefighter by dela Hoya. So we should see a high caliber boxer here and not just winning because the opponent is weak.

No doubt, any boxer would of course watch their last fight to examine some mistakes that they may or have been made then try to learn and adjust from it so that it won't happen again. As for Garcia's case, he already have the skills and talent needed but it may need some time to get it sharpen and I hope that Tagoe-Garcia fight will be enough to sharpen his talents and skills. I'll expect that we will see a different Garcia and not just kind of Garcia who's always barking despite he's still struggling in his own situation.

The awaited event or let say the awaited match of these two champions between Ryan Garcia and Javier Furtuna is 2 weeks left I am quite did not know if there's a knockout for these match cause every fighter is good but I think Ryan Garcia will be the winner and ill put my bet for him. Javier furtuna is a tough opponent of Garcia maybe this is a good challenges for Garcia and this is not a easy one.

Tank and Davis since both two have the belts, is the target of Garcia.
Tank and Davis? it must be a typo error as we are only talking of one person here, and it's Tank Davis.
Yes, Garcia is targeting him, in fact he wants to beat Fortuna early so he can proceed with the big fight.

Ryan Garcia: I’m a better fighter under Joe Goossen, I’ll stop Javier Fortuna early and move on to Gervonta Davis

What I meant is Haney, hehehe.

Still very young but want to accomplished more at his age. And he has the tools to do that, just needed to be sharpen and focus on his boxing than his social media antics.
Exactly, he needs to train hard and beat the best in the division he wants to reign, it's okay to make some noise in social media as long as he can get the result he promised.

Just a wrong matchup with Emmanuel Tagoe that's why he wasn't impressive. But against Fortuna, as I have said, I seeing him winning by knock out. I guess the social media can't be removed on Ryan now, he seems to thrive on it. But as you have said, he need to bring results in his fight first.

It would be exciting to watch if Fortuna would level with the aggressiveness of Garcia. For sure, Garcia will be very aggressive in order for him to have an impressive win, but if Fortuna will not match that aggressiveness, we might see another boring fight and that will disappoint the fans.
Fortuna was a aggressive boxer and not afraid for going toe to toe, but do we will see Fortuna will aggressive in this fight too? I doubt it.
As Garcia is aggressive boxer, even his opponent is technical and distance boxer, it will not be boring since Garcia will chase his opponent and we will see a sweet science if he's lose. Tank is the appropriate for technical boxer, Haney might be big for Garcia.

Yes, both boxers are very explosive, I think that both he and Ryan have similar styles but they totally change in the overlapping of techniques, also if we put ourselves to vr with a magnifying glass I see Fortuna as more daring, it doesn't matter if he loses, here he would win a lot Fortune where he manages to achieve a technical victory, because obviously a victory of this style must have crossed his mind, we cannot underestimate Ryan's attitude and cunning to realize such a strategy, perhaps he will quickly look for a knockout to eliminate anything he can prevented his victory. In this fight Ryan will want to secure it very quickly, I hope Fortuna keeps up with him.

^ Maybe that's a mistake on Fortuna side to bad mouth Garcia using his "mental" state issues. Fortuna claim that Garcia duck him in their first fight and hide on the reason of that.

“He’s talking a lot of trash to me, saying that I made an excuse with my mental health, that it wasn’t real, that I was a coward for it, and I’m a duck, I just want to avoid him. Well, I believe when he’s in that ring with me that he’ll find out real soon that ‘oh, there’s nothing scared about this guy.’”

So this might be something personal for Garcia now that Fortuna touch a sensitive topic about Garcia and then make fun of it.

Well, that sounds pretty interesting to me. I'd like to see Garcia so fired up especially now that he got more reasons to end the fight with an impressive results unlike what he got last time against Tagoe. Garcia just needed some extra push to get him back on track and unfortunately, Fortuna is the one who gave him that extra push he needed and that will make him regret soon. I just hope that Garcia can really back his words.

He is always fired up, just see how he goes on Tank during his fight against Romero. He even goes as far as to talk to Leonard Ellerbe of Mayweather promotions and ask for a fight with Davis. So we will see in his second fight coming if he is on track or not. So he better perform above against Fortuna, show us his power and should win by knockout.

Yes, but that actions he made didn't impress me even a bit because he still have a situation that he needs to settle, and calling with the likes of Davis now won't help him. He should help himself first to get out on his current state and give the people what they wanted to see for a long time, and that's the old Ryan Garcia. He doesn't have to worry himself about giving some early hype by talking Leonard to fight with Davis because he already have his own fans who still believes in him and giving his name a hype.

I wouldn't call that confidence for now because he still hasn't shown us an impressive win and all the kid did was to bark and bark without actions and call out champions like Kambosos and now he's also calling for Tank Davis. He should just focus on his upcoming fight against Fortuna first and give us the result that we wanted before he starts focusing on a fight that is not yet possible in his situation.

If he beat Fortuna he should force his promoters to fight Tank because Tank is always ready to fight anybody.

That would be a nice treat for us, Garcia vs Tank Davis, such a big fight that every fan would not miss to watch. I think if that fight will happen, I can already expect a KO, either from Garcia or Davis, but most likely Davis will get the KO if Garcia is not fully focus in the fight.

Of course, everyone wants to see that fight but he has to beat Fortuna first, and not just a win but should be a big win so his promoter will be convinced that their fighter is ready to face Tank Davis. Though I believe that Garcia might be the underdog against Davis, but I think the value is on him because he has the height advantage and in terms of speed, he also has that.

He will be tested once he passed to Fortuna with a very convincing win, a Knockout will keep him near to his promoters to call for Davis, and we all know how ready Davis in every fight he have for sure he will be more likely accept if challenge will be offer to him. A good offer or contract will do for both fighters after accomplishing this upcoming fight against Fortuna.

True, this is going to be a big test for Garcia, and I'm seeing him winning over Fortuna wit a convincing fashion here. He has slowly gaining his confidence back and this might be the one to convince his doubters.

Even it's just a possible next fight, for sure it will gain interest since Garcia can bring entertaining fight against Tank!

He is young and maybe really wanted to fight anyone in his division, maybe that's the kid personality that others around him mistaken for being arrogant. But Canelo is right, he should be accomplishing more and focus on his boxing skills so that he can achieved more and then maybe he can face the other champions. 135 lbs is one of the most hype division apart from the 147 lbs. So Garcia should make his name their, but he shouldn't overlook Javier Fortuna, he needs a knock out win here in my opinion.

He was too confident in the fight against Fortuna right now and actually it wasn't too good to be overconfident like this because there would be a gap in his mind that would make this a disaster for himself.
Confidence was good but talking about the next fight before finishing the approaching duel now sounded like underestimating Fortuna.
I know he has quality but it's still not completely decided that he can win.

Yes, that's what I said, sometimes when a boxer is too overconfident, it will backfire on them. Goosen will still train Ryan here, maybe it really affected his performance since he used to be under Reynoso. But he is still young and could learn a lot from Goosen and perhaps we would see it in this next fight against Fortuna. And maybe if he score a knock out, he can call Tank Davis again for a fight.

I edited it, the fight is going to happen on July 16.
Actually, this can be a hope, especially for me because it will be very exciting to see Davis, especially for now they have quite a name in their class.
But indeed, if you look at it now, even if it is possible to happen, I think it would be very arrogant if you directly make something like this, but on the other hand, you still have to face a battle that, even though you are superior, does not rule out the possibility that something surprising will happen.
Yep it happened on July 16th at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles which was expected to be packed with 20,000 fans.

There's still hope because Javier Fortuna will be Ryan's last test before the fans would lose interest to the kid, I know that Ryan could easily deal with Fortuna but the catch here is that Ryan need to finish the fight with a good outcome and that is either by a KO or TKO and not just another UD. He needs to step up if he's that interested to fight Gervonta Davis.

Yes, but he can't get out Davis out of his mouth, hehehe,

Ryan Garcia To Gervonta Davis: I Will Whoop Your Ass, Put You To Sleep!.

Not a good sign though if he keeps on talking about the next boxer he wants to fight because he still have someone in front of him next month. So he better not skip and be over confident against Fortuna because a loss will mean that all of his dream and big money fights are not going to happen because he will be back to zero again.
You got that right, this kid needs to focus on what's in front of him first. What's in his imagination might not happen if he keeps on underestimating Javier Fortuna.
It would be acceptable if his last fight was a TKO to say it would be a short night for Fortuna, but it's not. After that change of head trainer to Goossen his last game against Tagoe was a UD.
Let's see, it's easy to talk trash but you should have the power to back it up.
Was it July 19 or 16? Title says 19 but I am seeing 16.

Yes, actually, I tried to say the exact same thing. His self-confidence is very good, if we put all his skills to the performance in the ring, he should already have self-confidence, but as I said, he needs to focus on the fight in front of him, he must beat Fortuna first. Then you say something to your other rivals. Saying something to Tank here sounds like Fortuna isn't even an opponent for me. This is to underestimate your opponent. I don't think we need to talk so soon.

he is very convinced, maybe this time he will not give up and will fight, but in my opinion most of the time when fighters get too convinced they give up before the fight or they lose the fight. Strange that I haven't seen this fight at stake yet, maybe they will put it two days before the fight, I'd like to see how the odds are for this fight. Fortuna only lost 3 times out of 43 fights, the guy is very experienced and can win this fight if he's not convinced like Ryan Garcia is. Ryan Garcia is also an excellent fighter, maybe I'm wrong but I believe he will lose or if he wins it will be with many difficulties
