So what will happen if his win is not impressive again? Will Golden Boy promotion will look for another easy fight until Garcia will have an impressive win? I don't think that will happen, I believe this is going to be his last fight before he gets into a bigger fight, and he should fight a boxer that is willing to fight him toe to toe so we will be able to see an entertaining fight.

I think if this end up unimpressive again, they will do another cherry picking until Ryan Garcia will look good in the ring. He got exposed on the Campbell fight, no matter what their camp say, that knockdown exposes his chin and take his confidence away. I think Golden Boy will do the risky thing for Ryan once they will be offered a championship fight against Davis or Haney, all or nothing for him i would say.
That would take too long before we will see a big fight of Ryan Garcia, yes, his chin was exposed but the most important is he got up and beat Campbell by KO, it's more than enough to prove that he really is a strong fighter, so I hope this would be the last fight and they will focus on the real fight for him.

He managed to get up that time but the fact that his chin was exposed will remain as an open book to other boxers in the same division, and Garcia's chin will be one of the few targets because it was already proven that it was his weakness especially if his opponents are the likes of Kambosos Jr. and Gervonta Davis. If Garcia will still fail in his fight against Fortuna then I'm afraid that he's just one of those hyped boxers that haven't overcome their struggles.

Well Garcia was really exposed on that fight, but I would say that Campbell has power and good fundamentals thats why he was able to get that left hook during their exchanges and knock down Garcia unexpectedly. I wouldn't say though that it was a weakness, maybe he was really caught off guard. And every boxer caught like that with that one big shot will likely go down. But if he will have to face a boxer with power like Kambosos Jr and Tank Davis, he better not to get hit like that otherwise he will sure be getting into the canvass again.

I guess everyone will get exposed sooner or later, it's just how boxers responded to it. Maybe Garcia's youth has that advantage and that's why he recovered very fast. The punch was really very quick as you describe no time to react but for sure he knows it's coming and that's why the impact is that that big in his chin. But Garcia is saying that his main weapon here is his speed so let's see if he will have this advantage and it seems it fuel Garcia more because Fortuna is talking trash on him.

^^ That is also what we expect of him against Tagoe, win by a knock out but it didn't happen. However, we can't blame Ryan because Tagoe doesn't want to engage.

But in this fight, if Fortuna is willing to go toe to toe with Ryan, he should at least get a knock down. Again, as others have said, he needs to win impressively, to throw out the argument that he still have those mental issues he has, or his mind is not yet committed on boxing 100%.
Yes, in fact, that is what many people are thinking, I think Ryan will risk everything to win, for her part, Fortuna, I see him as more hungry to win, as if he doesn't care about anything, what he wants is to stand out and open doors in boxing, he knows that if he wins victories over boxers like Ryan they will look for him more and the contracts will be many millionaires, I don't know right now how much boxers are earning for victories, but I think that if Fortuna wins this fight he will fill his pockets for a good time, and this is something he wants to achieve, fame comes with money and he knows that very well, this fight for me will be very interesting to see for the reasons I gave earlier.

6 figures for maybe a B level fighter as Fortuna and then 7 for a boxer like Ryan, on the borderline of being the next cash cow of boxing. Fortuna though might be another made fight for Ryan. Yes he might have won his last fight but against Jojo, another B-level fighter, Fortuna lost. So Ryan has all the advantage to win here and probably he will go for the knock out. And for sure he will call out everyone again, Davis and Haney.

There's nothing to expect aside from Garcia winning this fight. The only thing we are not sure of is whether it's going to be a KO win or win via decision, regardless, he still won the fight and with that, I think he is ready for a big challenge, not against an A-Class fighter.

That was an arranged fight, we can really expect a mismatch for Tagoe and Garcia..

How do you know it was an arranged fight? I mean tagoe was like 32-0 and who's boxer losses his mind to sell his precious career record for a lose?
That was clearly a mismatch, it wasn't arranged, it was cherry picked. People were deceived by Tagoe's record as if he's worthy to beat as an opponent for Garcia. That guy Tagoe might have fought a bunch of mediocre boxers.
Obviously, he has no chance on winning fighting toe to toe against a faster and younger Garcia.

It wasn't arranged, Tagoe for sure doesn't want to sell his career just to have that loss on his record for that small fight. Tagoe was confident in that said fight as we saw how he behave on their face-off, his face is like saying that he's excited to rip the kid's jaw off and maybe underestimated Garcia as he's much more experienced while Garcia was much younger. It's just that he didn't expect that Garcia's punches could swing that heavily that made him run back and forth in the ring.

And usually this what happens when you pitted a supposedly good fighter in Tagoe, just one defeat, but not known in American soil  against an American fighter that can box and knock out anyone. So when Tagoe was all talk before the actual fight, you can sense though that it will not turn out to be good as this is a mismatch. And this what exactly happened. And I guess Golden Boy knows this that's why he was cherry pick.

Golden boy knows that and they made money from that fight, a fighter with a good records against the fighter who's trying to re-establish his name inside this sport, I'm also in the impression that they wanted to clear the path for Ryan as he still have that future success that they wanted to made him their cash cow, though I'm not a fan of selling fight its unethical but the point is to create a match where speed and skills are the best advantage, that made Ryan to shine back.

Right, but it was not a right fight for Ryan, as their cherry pick fighter doesn't want to engage and be knock out. So it's not a clear path for Ryan yet, he has to win impressively against Javier Fortuna this July. Otherwise if it will be another bad performance, he can't get to fight those other champions. Or he will have his chance, it might not be the split that him or Golden Boy is going to expect because they don't have any bargaining power.

Tagoe was too weak for Garcia, the disparity in the levels of the fighters was too obvious. Fortune looks better in the ring, you can also expect a dirty game from him, he can hit head in the clinch, he is not an easy fighter. Bookmakers rate Garcia as a favorite, let's see if there will be such a big advantage in the ring as it is in the odds.

But his record was so deceiving, he has a good record and we thought that he could give Garcia a good fight, the problem with Tagoe is he does not want to risk, instead of being aggressive, he does not look for an opportunity to hurt Garcia, instead he just focuses on running all night.

But if you look closely at Tagoe's record, you will find that he doesn't have a good resume. His fights is mostly in Ghana his hometown and obviously, he only fought local fighters that we might say just not on the league of boxers in the US. So it was a clever trick by Golden Boy to arrange him to fight someone like Tagoe with one lost. And it's so good in paper and in the actual promotion of the fight that others might take that he has a chance. And then another catch here is that they fought at 138 1/2 lbs, so it's a catchweight and for sure he is not comfortable that's why he just wanted only to survived and not fight Ryan.

Tagoe has not experience legit champions like Garcia, that's why he wasn't on the level of the great fighters when he fought Garcia. Tagoe is not even popular, he is not listed on the top 10 pound for pound ranking, or other rankings that would convince us he is popular, that's why some people believe that Garcia's promoter just cherry picked Tagoe for a come back fight, and they made sure it's an easy fight for Garcia.

He was actually like 31-1 before he fought Garcia, we can see it in his updated record now (https://boxrec.com/en/proboxer/289944) which is already 32-2. Well, I believe it was a cherry picked fight, it was a fair fight but obviously Garcia is the better fighter and that 32-1 is nothing to him.

In boxing, it is not just the record. There are boxers with great records but are not actually popular while there are also boxers with low numbers but are not only popular but champions. It is about the opponents. What is the big deal with a 32-0 when those 32 defeated opponents were not even good boxers? 7-1 is much better than that if that 7 are great boxers with great boxing skills.

Garcia's team cannot just bring out the records of their opponents to remove cherry-picking doubts. Who did these boxers defeat in the first place? Are they champions or even prospects or are they just fastfood workers somewhere?

Maybe he finds arranged and cherry-picked synonymous with each other, but each word has its own distinctive meaning as the correct term for that was Oscar cherry-picked Tagoe. We can remember that it was an interim fight for Ryan Garcia to get him back on track after his mental issues and inactivity after he fought Campbell.

Oscar thought that Tagoe can be a big challenge to the kid so that Garcia will be ready to fight Kambosos Jr. but Tagoe was very disappointing to see running in the ring.
I think Oscar knows that Garcia will win in the fight, and maybe by a knock out. However, we may say that it backfired on them as Tagoe didn't fight as expected and was just on defense the whole pick. So it was a cherry pick but it look bad on Garcia as he has been criticized in the media. And now another fight with a fighter that is not on his level, if he won by decision again and was not impressive, for sure Oscar will not going to match him with the current bred of champion.
