2 days more before we can see this much awaited fight and to see if Ryan Garcia has already escaped the issues in his life and that he is now back on track unlike his last fight against Tagoe where he himself admitted that his performance wasn't that impressive.

I'm looking forward that this kid, Garcia, can man up his words as he's already calling for Tank Davis next despite having an upcoming fight against Fortuna.

Yeah, saw one of his interview and again, he wants a fight with Tank Davis after that. Might be bad though because it seems that he is overlooking Fortuna, maybe he is underestimating the guy and didn't respect him? We will see if Garcia will win, or it will back fire because he seems to can't get Davis on his mouth every time he has a chance to talk to the public about his match with Fortuna.

would be a blow if garcia will lose from fortuna. he should have waited what the results of his upcoming fight before he calls another boxer to fight with. anyway, that's his challenge couple of days and we will see what he's got. if he's calling Tank Davis, i guess, i will go for Davis here. but let's see...

Obviously, everything will be put on hold if Fortuna will beat Garcia in their fight. But will Ryan allow this one to happen to him or he is just super confident to win against Javier and he thinks that this is just a normal fight for him and his hands are going to be raised.

Fight is very closed though, this weekend already. But I will rather not to put a bet on this fight. Would be better if I would just watch it and maybe see if Ryan has gotten over his mental issues and then called out Davis again after he win.

Too early in concluding his journey though it's a great challenge to him, he needs to prove that he really deserves that fight against Davis otherwise his career will surely doom if he fails the fans and loses against Fortuna. This upcoming fight will serve as a preview of his adjustment after performing not that much against Tagoe.

It's a win with a KO that more like it if he really calling for a good money fight, it will hype him up and create noise for his name.

Promoters will also take this as an opportunity to earn a lot if he wins in a much more dominant way.

Ok the fight is getting closer now, Fortuna is also going to the public and says that Garcia can't do anything about him and saying like Garcia will lay an egg, because he is a duck.

So let's see what Garcia's answer, for sure he will not let this pass. Recently, it was Garcia vs Canelo, and now it will be Garcia against Fortuna as the fight is like 10 days from now. They need to hype this fight and bring it to the public attention.

There is little time left before the fight. I wonder what kind of fight it will be. I think Ryan Garcia will give his answer in the ring, yes everyone can have some mental problems, sometimes this can happen to anyone, I think it will make up for Ryan's talents, many shortcomings, I think it was a nice experience to have such a thing, I think it was a very young experience hopefully better now. Let's see what happens to Fortuna, whom he calls the little duck, I think we can see a good one shot from Ryan in this match.

One solid combo conversion will bring Garcia a big hype if by chance he will knock down Fortuna, we never know what will be the outcome of this upcoming fight but it's a good exposure for this young sensation to build his career and make his path to a title match. It's not easy though but very doable if he will give the fans the fight they wanted to see.

It's an anticipating improvement coming from Garcia. Hopefully, it will not end the same way from his last won.

Let's also hope that Fortuna will give a good fight this coming 16th where there is no marathon kind of thing, I bet Garcia is well prepared if he can have that head on or a toe-toe-toe fight he wanted because in that way, he can give a lethal punches rather than when the enemy is always running.
I know that the kid has still a lot to improve along with his job but I believe he is already prepared, he wouldn't be calling names if he is not confident on his style.

We've just witnessed two upsets by Bivol and two days ago Vargas, what's the possibility of this fight ending up in a huge upset, its possible Fortuna is a two-time champion, we have taken for granted that Bivol can upset Canelo and so is Vargas upsetting Magsayo but both fights caught us by surprise, the world will be stun if this happens and both Haney and Gervonta will insult Garcia, and that's mental torture for Garcia.
Vargas vs Magsayo are almost neutral, the difference off the odds only 0.0?x
Bivol vs Canelo is huge upset since the odds for Bivol is ~4.00x

I wouldn't say we might see an upset in this fight since Fortuna's prime have passed, he was a champion on 2012 and 2014-2015, it's already 7 years. The recent Fortuna's fights are won against weak boxers and lose against good boxers e.g. Jojo and Easter Jr.

Indeed mate, this might be a year full of upset and frankly, we never saw it coming just like what happened to Saul Canelo Alvarez and Mark Magsayo. We looked at them to be hailed as winner at the end of their respective fight but both of them was defeated by a decision.
In this fight, I'm saying that we might see an upset again since Fortuna is still an experienced boxer even if he's already past his prime. Look at his record, his last 3-4 fights was still impressive to me as he got 2 KO's and 1 defeat against Joseph Diaz for the WBC title.

I try to look at the ticket sales and it seems that there are a lot of tickets available.

Not saying that Garcia doesn't have the crowd draw, but it seems his dancing partner is the problem as Fortuna is not a A-class fighter. The fight is next week already, so hopefully we will see a block buster fighter and tickets are are sold, just saying.

Maybe they just want to pass this one since they are looking into some real fight when watching Ryan Garcia fight live in the venue. Though this one is good for Ryan to showcase his skill and further expand his popularity, the fans just wanted to watch it on TV. If Garcia wins this fight easily with a knockout, then he really needs to level up his opponent to keep his merit among the best boxers because if he just fights some no-name boxers, his popularity and trust rate might drop.

Campaign Management?"Hhampuz" is the Man

Davis has more experience and a bit older than Garcia that's why he is now on his prime. And this team was really very active picking fights for him, another reason that he had grown and developed at his young age.

With that advantage he can really dominate Garcia in many aspects, though not really concluded right away since every fighter have

an equal chance of winning but the edge is mostly for Davis.

Quote

While Garcia, we all know what happen to him, he has mental issues, wasn't able to fight in the last couple of years. So he has a lot of catching up to do. This is just his second fight after the recovery and so we want more from him before fighting the likes of Tank Davis.

Something that the kid needs to work on, he needed to impress the fans and make sure that he will show some extra effort

while fight Fortuna if he wanted to have more exposure and especially he needs to win the fight and earn the fans interest.

Many are underestimating Fortuna and always looking forward to Ryan Garcia's next fight because Javier Fortuna is a nobody, I should say I don't want Garcia to underestimate Javier Fortuna, just b because of his hype, but I got to admit the next fight for this kid, will be the most anticipating fight in all boxing, Jervonta "Tank" Davis is a monster and the kind of uppercuts, likely a calculating opponent and surely a technical genius so Ryan Garcia needs a little smarty moves aswell,

And the fact that Davis was still in his prime while the young Garcia might need more solid boxing experienced, in this upcoming

fight with Fortuna, he needs to show more skills and maturity. If he continues to be more predictable, facing Davis would be

his nightmare. Davis is a monster indeed. He will keep throwing solid punches if you try fighting toe-to-toe and what I see

from Garcia's style, he will dwell with that and also will try his strength. But we never know, maybe a lucky solid punch

will be his ticket to earn a belt Roll Eyes

That is the reason why Gervonta Davis was nicknamed "Tank" because of his solid chin, but his chin was just his second best ability because his defensive and offensive capabilities are indeed much smarter and lethal. That said, Ryan Garcia should really improve himself to the best version that he could possibly attain if he wants to take out Davis soon because if he won't, I'm afraid that Davis will be the 1st boxer to carve a loss in Garcia's record.

Right, he was built like a Tank, short but very solid base (legs), and then a good chin. I wouldn't say solid though, I can't recall which fight it is wherein he was buckled, but because of his frame, he was able to still stand despite that blow. Again, this is going to be Ryan's big test, and if he comes out flying, with a statement knock out win, then maybe Davis or any champion or at least rank higher in any organization will take Ryan next.
That's true, if only Garcia can win bigtime in this coming fight against Fortuna, for sure there will be lots of boxers that will come and look for him with the likes of Davis and Kambosos. Garcia's enemy is his own self, so he should really conquer that issue if he wishes to make a big name in boxing industry.

No dream is too big and no dreamer is too small
Ryan Garcia has always been full of confidence. And there's no reason why he shouldn't be confident. He has great boxing skills. He is a rising star who has already made a popular name in the sport. He is undefeated and has a very high knockout rate. So he somehow earns the right to brag and be confident.

But in this particular fight, Ryan Garcia could be as confident as he wants because he is facing a boxer who is already in the end part of his career, a boxer who is almost 10 years older than Garcia.
He's just acting like he's really confident but I know that he's still having some time to get back on track after that mental issues he had after he fought Campbell, true he has some good skills and the needs to be a superstar but he should get himself back to track as soon as possible because his talent will go to waste if he'll stay at his comfort place. I will expect that we will see a different Garcia on the ring next week.

Yes, Garcia's mental issues should be addressed soon because it would be such a waste if it persists and affects his prime years in the sport. But getting a clue from his team's choices of opponents, it seems Garcia is not yet really in the best of shape. He's already got his tune up fight against Tagoe but it wasn't as explosive as others expected. And now this bout is another tune up fight. This is basically choosing another weak opponent to somehow measure if he is already conditioned enough to face quality opponents.

Let's see if his confidence will translate into a better performance inside the ring.
Oscar De La Hoya had left no choice but to intervene again and give his golden boy a tune-up because they didn't get their expected result last time when Garcia fought with Tagoe, the kid could've get on his feet that time, it's just that Tagoe was too afraid to get a toe-to-toe fight with Garcia as he knew that going head to head will be his disadvantage and worse he could get KO'd.

This time, let's hope that Fortuna is much different from Tagoe and that he could give some challenge to Garcia to help the kid back on track. But if in-case Garcia still doesn't improve, I guess Fortuna could just defeat Garcia if he can to finish the kid from wasting some time. Talent won't mean nothing without hard-work.

Hopefully he will not be the Tagoe type, all bark in the beginning, and then didn't fight Garcia but instead went on his bicycle.

Garcia has been badmouthing him already and has fired back a lot since the news that the fight is going to happen. Not sure though if there are still tickets for this fight, or have been sold out already. Gonna be interesting to know the numbers, so see if Garcia still has it.
