I say just average performance by Ryan, sure the power is there, but I think Davis has more power than Ryan. He doesn't have that head movement, he just keeps coming straight. And if he fight like that against Davis, who is very cerebral in the ring, for sure he will get knock out by that. It's a win though so no question about it, but it's just a so so performance and everyone expected that he should knock out Fortuna which he did.

It's just like a tune up match, Ryan Garcia displayed his usual fighting style but still needs to work on some stuff. I'm more impressed by Javier Fortuna when he got knocked out then spit his mouth piece to buy some time to recover, what a veteran move.
Most likely because they could  just challenge a decent fighter and skip this one, it's very obvious that the promoter just wanted to see Ryan Garcia have an impressive win because getting into a big fight, and this is it.

I hope the fight bet Ryan Garcia vs Tank Davi will happen this end of the year.

I'm optimistic with that because I believe that Ryan Garcia will have no problem winning this fight.

I think under Goosen, he learns how to tuck his chin now and becoming more of a body puncher. The first punch was a fake head shot and then Fortuna covered upstair, so Ryan go down and hit him perfectly, so that's good if he can developed that and not head hunting first at least to throw his opponent in the beginning.

As for the Tank, Ryan said that he is no longer going back to 135 as well, so if there is a chance that a mega-fight between him and Davis happen, it will be in this weight limit now and it's up to his camp whether to accept it or force Ryan to 135 and drain him.

Nothing surprised Garcia is winning again, I have told Fortuna's prime already passed and he already suffer many losses when he's already get older. I think getting paycheck fighting with Garcia is enough for him, he may didn't get another good paycheck if he fight other boxer. So yeah, I will wait the next fight between Garcia vs Tank, I hope he wouldn't lie and cherry pick another weak boxer.

Fortuna lacks the motivation he may not run but this is a fight where a weak fighter is just waiting for the strong fighter to knock him out, there's hardly any resistance on the part of Fortuna, Tank, and Haney can still laugh at this fight, his promoters should stop feeding him with weak fighters and start looking for a more challenging fight Tank will just smoke him and Haney will just teach him a boxing lesson, but Ryan should go for big fights people have enough of this kind of fight where his opponents is giving no resistance.

And speaking of this fight, I put a bet on under 7.5 rounds at 1.80 for just a medium bet. Just to have some fun watching this fight and let's see if Ryan can finished Fortuna with his signature left hook power.
Good job with your pick, Garcia won via TKO with his left hook on the round six, enjoy the 1.80x odds Wink

So here is the official weigh-in,

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r-0UQTA-Ifc

As expected, both making the weight, although others might find it surprising that this fight is not on 135 lbs, but 140 lbs.

Against Tagoe, there is a catch weight at 138 lbs if my memory serves me right. But this time its a full 140 lbs now for Ryan.
Few more hours and we will see them in the ring, its good to see them both qualified.
After the back-out last year because of a mental health issues. It’s great to see Garcia more fit now, and able to reach that weight in preparation for this match up. I can say that Garcia will surely have a hard time here to win despite of his own advantages, because Fortuna is also a good boxer. Well, we will see that and better to place your bet now and enjoy the match later on.

I will be looking for a free stream on social media I have had successes in the past watching big fights via free live stream on social medias like Facebook this is a fight that I really want to see because Ryan he is fighting a former three-time world champion who is in a comeback trail and an upset will catapult him into the mainstream again, Fortune will not let himself to be a stepping stone and will do all he can to match Ryan's power and skill.

Of course, Facebook will be our main option to look for free streams, hopefully though it will not be pulled down when the actual fight happens. Because as far as my experience goes, usually this is the case so you are left hanging after watching the undercard and support bouts.

For my bets, I speculate that this might not get to distance, and maybe Ryan will come back swinging hard just like what he did against Duno. But the fight might go to the middle rounds 4-6 for me for Ryan to break down and win by ko.

Ok it was revealed the Fortuna is the one who asked that this fight be in 140 lbs because he has only 7 weeks to prepare for this fight, so fair enough.

And so Garcia obliged, but he said that he may never fight at 135 lbs again. And just what we have been speculating, him and Davis could fight at 140 lbs at obviously he can't make weight at 135 in his 2 fights so far (including this one).

Doable, I mean Davis fought Barrios at 140 so he can simply move to this weight and have a fight with Garcia if Tank really mean it or at least his handlers want to have this mega fight.

if you can't find live stream, there are some sports sites that will give a narrative account of the round per round happenings inside the ring. at least, have an idea what is happening with the match. many are expecting on garcia here. so let's see if he will put up a good fight inside the ring.
he's been grooming as the next bankable boxer by the golden boy promotions...

Ryan is more convenient making weight in 140 so they make it 140, in the past weeks and months we have seen so many upsets I'm not counting this to be included but there's a possibility that Ryan will be challenged here that any of his past fights, this is a real challenge for Ryan I hope we can see a spectacular finish by Ryan so he can claim that he can knock out Tank or Kambosos, people are tired of him talking too much, about knocking out Tank or Kambosos when all he can show is weak performance.

Yeah, but he has been calling Tank, who has a belt in 135 lbs although fought at 140 already. And we've seen Teofimo Lopez also campaigning at 140 lbs now. So maybe Ryan can't make the 135 lbs cut anymore so I doubt that he and Davis are going to fight at light weight. Perhaps the best case scenario is for all of them to move to 140 lbs. And if that happen it could really be a very stack up weight class and it is good for at least 2-3 years.

Nice to see that both have no problem in the weigh-in, and they respect each other.

Garcia is the taller boxer here but not much of an advantage though, I like to see his quick footwork and power punches, if we can see a KO here, then next game should hype for a Tank Davis and Ryan Garcia fight.

Garcia definitely has those skills above as you stated but I do not really think that it would somehow suffice to defeat a boxer especially when it comes to Gervonta "Tank" Davis because the latter is without a doubt one of the best defensive boxer I see in his generation and an impressive offensive boxer too at the same time. He would not be called a Tank if Davis has nothing similar to that land beast.

Garcia still needed some more work to do in order to defeat the Tank, but I really think that Kambosos Jr. will be going first before the kid faces Davis.

If he can do that, then there's no problem arranging his next fight for Davis. Promoters will be happy to set it up, especially if he will manage to knock down Fortuna. He needs an impressive win to create noise and hypes. If he can do that, the next fight will bring him more money on the table.

Moving back to this upcoming fight, it's good that both fighters are fit and there's no problem with regard to their weight.

Good luck to all bettors who will take to whichever side they place their bets.

Garcia will win here, I'm very confident with that but I would not put my bet on him because the ML is very low.

In the sportsbook I'm using, here are the betting odds.

Garcia - 1.08
Fortuna- 8.80

Huge underdog, but I don't want to risk some money on Fortuna, and it seems this fight is tailor made for Garcia to win as you have said unless something really out of the ordinary that Fortuna hit Garcia and score a knock out. But for sure Ryan is too smart to get hit and derailing the fight that he always wanted, a huge fight regardless in 135 or 140 lbs with Tank Davis. And that is the fight that we all wanting to see.
