He better admit to himself that he ain't that impressive on the said fight against Tagoe, and now he's calling Tank Davis? Is he really serious? He and his team was even afraid to take the fight against Pitbull, how much more if it's Kambosos or Davis. lol

I agree he is not convincing in his last fight against Tagoe, boxers are assessed based on their last fight and how they perform, Ryan can not have a performance like that and call out big names, this is the reason why his promoters opted for him to fight Fortuna, all he has to do is to knock out Fortuna show class and domination then he can call out the likes of Tank or Haney, but right now he should shut up train hard so he can give us a good fight where we can be impressed.

^ That will be great if he is going to be match against Isaac Cruz. I think anyone in the division is going to be a mismatch nightmare for the Pitbull and then he was power too, so he is really a danger that's why Ryan's handler is not yet ready to match him with Cruz. And they could reason that this is supposed to happen before and now that they are just obliging perhaps because of their contract with Fortuna's camp to give him a fight against Ryan. So we will see after in this fight if Garcia is ready for the big stage and fight the other champions.

Yes, it would be a great challenge for Ryan Garcia to straighten his path once and for all and that is if his camps accepted the order of WBC but as I said in my early posts, they cannot afford to see Garcia being defeated by Pitbull because they're looking forward to see bigger fights against Kambosos Jr. or Tank Davis. Let's see if Garcia can correct his mistakes and if he will improve more from the Tagoe fight.

I agree, maybe after the Tagoe fight, Dela Hoya see that something is still not right for Ryan. And that is why he is afraid to have him face one Isaac Cruz at this point.

For sure Ryan is one the watch for the Kambosos Jr vs Haney this weekend. I haven't heard from him on who he thinks is going to win. Fortuna is good, but I don't think he is with the same breath with Garcia. But Ryan should proved this in the ring and knock out Fortuna so send the message to all 135 lbs champion.

Not maybe mate, it was evident that Garcia still lacks something and he is still not in his usual performance where he is so confident. Even Ryan Garcia himself admitted that he wasn't satisfied with his performance from that fight and he said that he will work on his jab more and have some improvement. I want Garcia to face Pitbull but unfortunately, this is not the time for that fight in the Golden Boy's eyes.
Not only into co-fellow boxers/promoters have seen that stuff but in overall we fans does really able to notice that where there's lacking when it comes to his jab. This isnt the usual that we do see
those swift and precised jabs that could really knock out or give out some heavy blow to opponent which is something that we havent seen on Tagoe vs fight but still its a win which matter the most
but there are lots of people who arent that contented or get convinced that it was a good performance from Garcia but well there are still lots of time to make out some adjustments
and its good that he realized those lacking things which is great.

Well, most of the fans are also not convinced on his performance and that includes me. I remember that there's two things that got me disappointed from that fight, first was that I assumed and expected that Emmanuel Tagoe would push Ryan Garcia to his limits and give him a challenging fight but when Tagoe tasted a good punch from the latter in the early rounds, he then suddenly goes for a survival mode. 2nd, I expected that Ryan Garcia would be back to his usual rhythm as he have rested good from the fight from Campbell and that he would somehow knockout Tagoe.

He better admit to himself that he ain't that impressive on the said fight against Tagoe, and now he's calling Tank Davis? Is he really serious? He and his team was even afraid to take the fight against Pitbull, how much more if it's Kambosos or Davis. lol

And what if Fortuna derails all the plans of Golden Boy on Ryan? That's going to hurt for them and then they are going to be criticized more and by the time he faces those big names, maybe the hype is no longer there for the kid.

There would be a big shake out if Fortuna upset Ryan Garcia it's a big humiliation, he is the guy who keeps talking that he wants this guy and will knock him out but fighting fighters like Fortuna, who I think is not on Ryan Garcia's level
I wonder why Garcia decline Cruz in the first place and choose Fortuna instead, well something is happening here that we don’t know but for sure Garcia will be on a good position here since he will not choose a fighter if he think he can’t beat him. Garcia is young and talented, he will go for more fights most probably but to remain the good hype, he must won against Fortuna or else this can be the start of his falling career.
Most probably his promoter sees that he is not ready yet for that big fight. This 2nd fight is going to be his 2nd tune-up fight, and after this then maybe they can talk about the deal for the big fight. I still believe in Garcia, one of my favorite boxers and I know he will be able to win in his upcoming big fights.
His team will always go for what's the best for their boxer and with this changes, most probably Garcia is trying to be trained on other boxer and he should not lose on this match because it can affect his career if ever he loss to Fortuna. I'm not familiar with Fortuna though he already have 3 losses on his record while Garcia is still clean technically, Garcia is on a big advantage here and maybe this is the reason why his team choses to fight other boxer instead. A month of preparation is already good for this two boxer, let's see if this will push through or we might see another changes with their schedule.

Garcia is young and talented, he will go for more fights most probably but to remain the good hype, he must won against Fortuna or else this can be the start of his falling career.

Compared to Davis, Isaac Cruz, and Romero its a cherry-picked fight but a much better fighter than Tagoe, the Tagoe fight is a huge disappointment because Tagoe keeps ducking and just running all night, things will be different this time against Fortuna because he'll be facing a former two-time champion, depending on the outcome of the fight we'll see if Ryan is ready to take big names, I don't think he is ready against Tank based on his last fight against Tagoe, his promoters need a much more convincing fight.

Yes, Golden Boy shows something in the Tagoe fight that's why he stay away from Isaac Cruz and chooses a small risk, good reward in Javier Fortune. And now that Haney is the undisputed, all roads lead to him right now and Ryan for sure would love to fight Haney in the States.

But first he get to get and win against Fortuna, make it as emphatic victory as he can be. But they have to understand that they won't be the A-side when they deal with Haney or even Tank Davis. They had to agree at what terms this fighters are going to put in the table and Garcia should accept it without hesitation.

Garcia should be extra motivated this fight and not allow Fortuna to obstruct a possible fight with Haney in the future.

So he should take this opportunity to impressed us so that it will create a hype even more if he goes after Davis or Haney in his next fight. Money shouldn't be the issue here, there are plenty, PPV numbers, live gates, it will be in millions that he can't refused if being offered, even at 40% split purse.

Just saying though,  Grin just imagine Ryan getting knock out by Javier. For sure, there could be a lot of meme in the social media for that.

Bu the funny thing is, Ryan is so confident that he will win this fight.

True, it's going to cause some changes in the ranking for sure. And then Ryan would have to go and look at where it went wrong. For sure he will point a long on his promoter again. There are news that he is also not satisfied with the way Golden Boy is handling him. So we will see if in the future, he also separated with Oscar and look for new promoters. But this fight is still a long way, we haven't seen promotions yet, and look at how Ryan is doing and if he can make the 135 lbs contractual limit in this ifght.

It's obviously another tune-up fight for Garcia until he has a very impressive win. He needs to be back to his usual, and that is by beating his opponent via KO. lots of good fighters that are waiting for him, and for sure they will accept the challenge if Ryan Garcia will call them but like you said, the promoter has to ensure that Ryan Garcia is 100% ready.

Ryan Garcia's name doesn't excite true boxing fans he is not showing up and making the defining fight up and until now he is not challenging for any legit crown, how long will this tune fights last, they have extended their tune fights already that he has become a boring fight, he is just all talks like Romero, he is always daring to fight big names and ends up fighting unpopular fighters, Fortuna is good but not on a class of Davis and Haney.

he is still young, so he has a lot of years to showcase his power inside the ring. maybe, his promoter is just slowly building up garcia as they are avoiding the mental health issues that may possibly hit garcia again. we don't know their reasonings here. but in time, if he is up to greatness, he will challenge any boxer that will ask for his fight. for now, if his fights are boring, just sit back and watch. it may be even good in your betting list because if you are very sure about garcia's win, then would be good to bet, right?

If this is what their camps want then Ryan should stop showing up and challenging fighters like Davis, Kambosos Haney and Isaac Cruz, every time there's a boxing event he is there taking interviews and talking about fighting and knocking out these fighters he names he has become so annoying that even the Golden Promotions Ellerbe thinks that Garcia is not yet ready to go after big names, telling the press that even Romero can knock him out.

And that is hype, he is opening his mouth like he wanted to fight those boxers, but in the end when he sits with his promoter, he can't insists what and who he wanted to fight and now ending up against Javier Fortuna, another unknown fighter.

And what if Fortuna derails all the plans of Golden Boy on Ryan? That's going to hurt for them and then they are going to be criticized more and by the time he faces those big names, maybe the hype is no longer there for the kid.

I think this would be the last one, they cannot set up tuneup fights after tune-up fights, Ryan Garcia has to step in the ring with a legit challenger or a champion as well. I'm optimistic that we will see a big fight of Ryan Garcia this year, maybe by the last quarter of the year if this fight goes well on his favor.

Garica will be able to fight one of them soo, but I like to see him taking on Davis as Haney might have a more than one fight with kambasos.
