I am going to support Ryan - I like his speed and his punching technique.
Unfortunate for him that he is struggling with mental health - I think he is talented and smart - he can focus on his fitness and can live his dreams

I like his confidence and boxing skills too, you cannot compare him to anyone because the guy is still young and have lots of room for improvement. After this fight, I hope he will have his time to shine against a worthy opponent as well. We also need to see him struggling in his practice to level up and beat his strong opponents. He needs to fight someone who is a threat to his current record so that he will gonna further stretch his kills to the max and upgrade his power and speed to outmatch his next opponents until he became an undisputed champion himself.
Despite of his issues on depression and mental health struggles, I can see that he is still ready to give Fortuna the best fight his opponent wanted. Seeing how Garcia fought in his previous games, I know this game will favor him. And yes, he all got confidence and boxing skills that i think will be more enhanced if he will be given opportunities to fight with most of the big time undefeated boxers, so that he can see himself too undefeated in his own chosen career.

If after that fight he take more serious trainings and deal with much heavier sparring sessions, I guess coming in this fight he will be more ready, he's trying to hype his name and the only thing that he needs to do is to win this fight and find a new challenger that will create more noise for his name. We don't know how things will come up, but everything will be settled once he steps inside the ring and showcase his skills, then wins against Fortuna.

Garcia's camp knows the big potential of him. They will bring him back to find the rhythm and try taking down Fortuna in a solid way

 of knocking him down..

Another easy challenger, but this time he needs to be more impressive if he wants to have a big fight with the champions that are waiting for him. They know that Garcia went through some mental and emotional problems, so they will see that as his weakness. Promoters are not convince yet, so they bring this another unknown guy just for Garcia to give a convincing win.

I also see that way, promoters wants engagements with Garcia's name, if they will see more interest for him they soon bring him to a money fight that will allow him to face champion from his division, for now, he needs to take down Fortuna with an impressive win, a KO is more preferred to make sure that the social media will hype him up, though at other hand, Fortuna's opportunities to make a name here is also possible,

Garcia is a known fighter. Before he has his issue, beating him will add to Fortuna's achievement as a fighter.

Let see if how they will take this fight to the level that fans will enjoy and be entertained.

Garcia should win this fight win an impressive outcome, a decision result will not lift his name. He was known as a knockout specialist so promoters are waiting to see that again in Garcia. They picked Fortuna for a reason and that is they know that Fortuna can be a good challenger to their boy and might push him in the corners if needed. Surely, Fortuna will try and seize this opportunity to make a name for himself that's why Garcia should try and finish the fight early with some good KOs. He shouldn't bark at those champions ahead from him because that won't matter as he's still trapped in his current situation, might as well focus first to loosen up those ends.

Some nasty words coming from Ryan:

Quote
“After [Fortuna], I’m gonna go after Tank. I want to beat his ass.”

https://www.boxingscene.com/ryan-garcia-fortuna-im-gonna-go-tank-i-want-beat-his-ass--166843

He seems to be obsessed with Tank Davis, although he has been calling him even prior to the pandemic and then war of the words wherein we don't know who is telling the truth as far as stalling this fight. Let Ryan first win this fight with a knockout. If this is going to be a snoozer or a 12 round fight, a boring one, probably either Haney or Tank will just roast him in public and criticize his fight.

He's just lucky because Haney, Tank nor Kambosos ain't confronting him because to be honest, Ryan Garcia is still having a hard time paving his own way just because of that mental issue he had. Although, these boxers I've mentioned will not stoop down to Garcia's level because they know they're much better than him and their records can speak for that. Garcia should just focus more on his upcoming fight and make his performance better and refrain from barking because his time will come if he will be great on his future fights.

I agreed before his mental breakdown everybody wants Ryan Garcia, Haney even to the extent go to the ring after Ryan's fight and confronting him and daring him to fight him and he even talks to Hopkins to let him fight Ryan these two circumstances is very popular on Youtube, but now Haney is the undisputed champion, he doesn't want to talk or even mention Ryan as one of his challenger, Haney believes that Ryan has to prove himself first.

Yup, because prior to his mental issues, he is really breaking down his opponents and about to make a name for himself. Although there is one blip wherein he was knock down by Campbell but he comebacks and knock out Campbell out. But now it's like a totally different Ryan in the ring, maybe it's the effect of being out for some time and still recovering from his mental breakdown. Needs more fight prepare himself for the big names like Tank which he has been chasing or even Haney now the holder of all belts.

That's the hardest part any boxer can face, having a mental issues is not an easy because Garcia's enemy is also his own self which refrains him from being a great boxer and blocking the way to return to his old version where he tears his opponents by a KO or TKO. I miss watching him fighting in his usual gameplay, his fights are not that big but the way he fight makes the people watch him and gets interested in him. I hope Fortuna will be his last cherry-picked opponent and that old Garcia will return because I really love to see him fight confidently again.

Yes, he use to malign those, specially Haney, but now Devin is the undisputed, Ryan only dream of that. And then Devin and George will have a rematch. While Tank is just coming from a knock out win against Romero. While Ryan has a so-so performance vs Tagoe and then avoided Isaac Cruz, who Tank defeated in a hard fought 12 rounds. Garcia as others has pointed out, needs to win and win big to become relevant again. GBP is protecting him with those big punchers.

I get that because that's the business side that's why Oscar did that but always protecting Ryan Garcia will make him even weaker because instead of getting some experience with the likes of Pitbull, he's more into cherry-picking fights that he surely have the most odds like Tagoe and now Fortuna. I'm not underestimating these guys but surely Garcia already have the upper hand, he just need to win big so that he can be fitting to be compared with other heavy names.

Ryan needs to sober up, talk less and get more action in the ring, he is imposing a lot on himself, challenging fighters and promising to knock them out, he is attention-grabbing I have seen him arguing with almost everybody and acting how hungry he is to fight these fighters and what he is going to do if you are great in the ring all great things will come to you, this Fortuna fight will not establish him, unless he knocks him out in the first three rounds

And that is what he needs to get in this fight, a big and resounding knock out win against a B-level fighter. Otherwise this champion will not give Ryan his due, yes he is very hungry by calling up Haney and Tank and even Manny before. But all of them didn't materialized. The one thing that can be a positive for Ryan is his age, still very young and not yet at his prime. He just needs to slow down and work his way up against Tank or Haney or even Lopez in the future.

Yes, so it's a hit or miss for Ryan here, he wanted to be glamorized in his social media like Instagram and Twitter but at the end of the day, he is still an athlete a prize fighter and he should be discipline. And so how can he be great if he goes out like this? And we know see clearly why Canelo and to some extend Reynoso criticized Ryan forcing him to get out and find a new trainer. He needs to act like a true boxer is because he knows he can be a great star in the future if he puts his head 100% and train very hard instead of boxing a social media sensation.
In our country there was a star. I dont want to mention his name. He was versatile - and every person in my county knew his name and wanted to be like him.
He has great punching speed - and great hitting techniques. But then he was distracted toward social media. And the life feel a part. The star no longer became a star. WE have seen the rise and fall in a terrible way.

Ryan Garcia is all talk, he needs to back up that one first. He called Haney-Kambosos fight "nyquil", referencing to a medicine that you take when you have colds and flu and make you to sleep. But in his last fight against Tagoe, it is also boring as well and he didn't get the knockout that everyone is expecting him to do. And with Fortuna, he should really win this impressively otherwise he will be blame for another poor performance.

He is the crowned king of Instagram which is why he is all talks, he needs to feed his followers with the latest updates, news, and of course about how good he is, so he can get more views and likes, real boxers don't do that, they go for legacy, they let their social media people promote them in social media and just concentrate on their training and on their coming fights if Ryan keeps doing this, the only crowd he'll get is the Instagram title.

More viewers more money... but like what you said real fighters is not doing this, they are more into conditioning their body to make it sure that they will perform the way the fans wants them, if Ryan wants good legacy he should stop dealing with his social media hypes, keep winning the fight and let those challengers to call for his name.

Sooner or later he will get his money fight and establish his title. The more winning fight the better paychecks, no need to lean
with your social media followers, but with advertisers and companies that are willing to pay you more.

I don't know about his mental health but it seems part of it is trying to please his followers, he may be a celebrity and a star but his achievement lies in how he performs in the ring and this is where he should concentrate more, Fortuna will give him a good fight but this is not a challenging fight for Garcia, the Isaac Cruz that did not push through is one challenging fight for him but unfortunately it got away.

Some nasty words coming from Ryan:

“After [Fortuna], I’m gonna go after Tank. I want to beat his ass.”

Ryan's promoter, Golden Boy, won't choose Fortuna if they are not seeing advantage to their boxer. Remember, Golden Boy is grooming Garcia so for now, it seems they are cherry picking their opponents. But Fortuna, is not to be considered as weak opponent. If he is well-prepared on this one, he can easily beat Garcia. Both should be in their training grounds to prepare for this fight.

Lol. I don't know why they still need this guy, they could've fight Haney or Tank.
Ryan has the advantage against Fortuna as he is faster while fortuna is kinda slow for him and his punches usually opens up widely and exposed everything for a counter.
Ryan should K.O him, otherwise this could be another Tagoe-like fight.
Ryan needs to show a knock out victory again than more talking against another elite fighter.
