That's the hardest part any boxer can face, having a mental issues is not an easy because Garcia's enemy is also his own self which refrains him from being a great boxer and blocking the way to return to his old version where he tears his opponents by a KO or TKO. I miss watching him fighting in his usual gameplay, his fights are not that big but the way he fight makes the people watch him and gets interested in him. I hope Fortuna will be his last cherry-picked opponent and that old Garcia will return because I really love to see him fight confidently again.

Garcia as others has pointed out, needs to win and win big to become relevant again. GBP is protecting him with those big punchers.

I get that because that's the business side that's why Oscar did that but always protecting Ryan Garcia will make him even weaker because instead of getting some experience with the likes of Pitbull, he's more into cherry-picking fights that he surely have the most odds like Tagoe and now Fortuna. Ryan needs to sober up, talk less and get more action in the ring, he is imposing a lot on himself, challenging fighters and promising to knock them out, he is attention-grabbing I have seen him arguing with almost everybody and acting how hungry he is to fight these fighters and what he is going to do if you are great in the ring all great things will come to you, this Fortuna fight will not establish him, unless he knocks him out in the first three rounds

And that is what he needs to get in this fight, a big and resounding knock out win against a B-level fighter. Otherwise this champion will not give Ryan his due, yes he is very hungry by calling up Haney and Tank and even Manny before.But all of them didn't materialized. Yes, so it's a hit or miss for Ryan here, he wanted to be glamorized in his social media like Instagram and Twitter but at the end of the day, he is still an athlete a prize fighter and he should be discipline. And so how can he be great if he goes out like this? And we know see clearly why Canelo and to some extend Reynoso criticized Ryan forcing him to get out and find a new trainer. He needs to act like a true boxer is because he knows he can be a great star in the future if he puts his head 100% and train very hard instead of boxing a social media sensation.

In our country there was a star. I dont want to mention his name. He was versatile - and every person in my county knew his name and wanted to be like him.

Yes, so it's a hit or miss for Ryan here, he wanted to be glamorized in his social media like Instagram and Twitter but at the end of the day, he is still an athlete a prize fighter and he should be discipline. And so how can he be great if he goes out like this? And we know see clearly why Canelo and to some extend Reynoso criticized Ryan forcing him to get out and find a new trainer. He needs to act like a true boxer is because he knows he can be a great star in the future if he puts his head 100% and train very hard instead of boxing a social media sensation.

More viewers more money... but like what you said real fighters is not doing this, they are more into conditioning their body to make it sure that they will perform the way the fans wants them, if Ryan wants good legacy he should stop dealing with his social media hypes, keep winning the fight and let those challengers to call for his name.

I don't know about his mental health but it seems part of it is trying to please his followers, he may be a celebrity and a star but his achievement lies in how he performs in the ring and this is where he should concentrate more, Fortuna will give him a good fight but this is not a challenging fight for Garcia, the Isaac Cruz that did not push through is one challenging fight for him but unfortunately it got away.

Ryan's promoter, Golden Boy, won't choose Fortuna if they are not seeing advantage to their boxer. Remember, Golden Boy is grooming Garcia so for now, it seems they are cherry picking their opponents. But Fortuna, is not to be considered as weak opponent. If he is well-prepared on this one, he can easily beat Garcia. Both should be in their training grounds to prepare for this fight.

Ryan has the advantage against Fortuna as he is faster while fortuna is kinda slow for him and his punches usually opens up widely and exposed everything for a counter.
