It's all cool to Anthony Yarde.

That's how fighters should think about their camp. They are just trying to save their boxer and even if it's pride that is on the line then they will give it up.
I like the optimistic view of Yarde though, live to fight another day. He will have his chance again as long as he lives but if his camp didn't stop that, bad injuries could happen and it might shorten his career.
I thought it was Yarde who said something on his corner after getting up, but he said Tunde Ajayi saw something was wrong to decide and stop it.
He should probably watch the replay of their fight, he did great and gave Beterbiev a heck of a beating too.

Enough with Yarde and his nonsense statements Cheesy Right from the start, I already doubted his presence in-front of the Russian-Canadian monster but like he said days prior the fight, he learned something that will make him different from what we saw from the Kovalev fight which got my attention and gave him some benefit of the doubt. But at the day of their fight, it was somehow evident that Beterbiev is too much for Yarde. And now Yarde is talking again? The man is still trying to be relevant.

I'm hoping that one day we will have a thread about Bivol and Beterbiev, that they finally going to meet in the ring with a date of the course, and a contract, there are so many speculations when it comes to two fighters I hope between these two fighters we will not see issues like what we have seen between Spence and Crawford they just want to make people hoping when we have the date and the contract we'll then have a healthy discussion between these two fighters.

Both are the current best fighters in their respective weight division and probably the most anticipated fight of the decade because the two are not gonna delay this fight when they still have the chance, unlike those two fighters that don't have any consideration no matter how the fans wanted to see them fight in the right when they still at their prime but instead they are avoiding each other until now. Beterbiev is one of the best boxers I've ever seen along with Inoue but he got knockdown already it means he is vulnerable on power punches if it's gonna catch him off guard.

Really hard to see how the Beterbiev vs Bivol will turn out. Obviously, Beterbiev has the power, but Bivol has the footprint and the volume punching.

Agree. It's hard to imagine what will be the output if they will clash.

However, I might side with Bivol here. He knows how to counter strong punchers, even how dominant that boxer is, with his patient style of strategy.
The difference that I see between the 2 is that, Bivol can really move faster, he's a volume puncher and those punches have power. On the other hand, Beterbiev's slower than Bivol, not a volume puncher like Bivol, but his punches are stronger than Bivol and he also has the reach advantage over him as well (by only 1 inch).

I just watch Bivol's highlights against Joe Smith Jr and Beterbiev against Smith Jr. Bivol won against him by Unanimous Decision while Beterbiev just destroyed him in just 2 rounds. That alone might be a proof that power > speed (at least for me).

Overall, Beterbiev said on an interview that he wants to fight Bivol and if this happens (maybe this year), I'll side with Beterbiev with this one.

Yes, that's what you like about Beterbiev, now we hear that he wanted to fight his fellow Russian in a unification.

But the comparison or style is really contrasting as what other have define it. In any case though, obviously power > speed. But if that power can't connect, it will be a big waste. And if the speed always connect although not that powerful, it might have a effect as the fight goes on.

So very hard to digest this upcoming fight to be honest.

Fighting strategy will be the key to both side, Bivol's speed might affect Beterbiev in terms of trying to corner and throw those solid
punches, but, if he finds that rhythm, it will be a big problem for Bivol.

Beterbiev can destroy him with that power punch, and one good thing with Beterbiev if he got that opportunity, he will
not waste it and he tries to KO his opponent.

I like to see them inside the same ring and try to unify the belts.

Dmitry Bivol really wants to fight Artur Beterbiev, in a title unification bout it sure is a great fight to watch we will surely see who may prevail Power, VS Speed and like I have said Dmitry Bivol is a technical fighter, that has volume and speed and his punches were quite lethal if he strikes on the same target, it could be devastating, but 1 punch of Artur Beterbiev may close the fight into a KO win for Beterbiev, because 1 punch is all Beterbiev needed, while Bivol will surely fine a way to counter this aswell,

When Bivol faces Canelo, which is a solid puncher, Bivol did the right thing to take things slowly until he managed to piss Canelo and destroy its rhythm. The strong punches by Canelo become soft because Bivol is able to counter him not just thru physical bout but also mental bout.

I agree, both boxer doesn't have any losses yet, while Artur Beterbiev is a knockout machine Dmitry Bivol has a technical counter that is able to counter Beterbiev, this is going to be a lit fight for sure and many fans will surely watch that match up for sure, I truly want to see what is the outcome of that clash for sure Dmitry Bivol is not an aggressive boxer, while at some point Beterbiev is not aswell but when he sees an opening he will likely take it and this is an opportunity for Dmitry Bivol he will surely bait in Beterbiev for a counter,

Is this a good move from Crawford himself? Will Oscar Dela Hoya will able to work with PBC and Al Haymon to bring the biggest fight that we all have been waiting for?

For me, yes that's a move. In the world of the boxing industry, a legacy alone can't be built by a boxer himself. They really need the assistance of big and top promoters in order to secure a good fight with the best opponents and of course, that said promoter should always consider their boxer's preference.

When the supposed Crawford-Spence fight failed last year even though it was almost expected to happen, Bob Arum pointed out that if only Crawford was being handled by a well-known promoter, that fight might be pushed. His statement doesn't make sense but if Arum makes it possible during the time he handled Crawford, the boxing fans should already witness by now who was the winner between Crawford and Spence.

Artur Beterbiev VS Anthony Yarde ROUND 8 CORNER STOPPAGE - WIN - Round Range 7 - 9

It was an amazing fight to watch Anthony Yarde is not a push over, he is really aiming a counter at Beterbiev that resulted in Artur Beterbiev having some scratch to his face that resulted in a bloodied face Beterbiev but Yarde doesn't have the power in Knocking down Beterbiev, or Artur can withstand the punches of Yarde, It was really a solid fight and Anthony Yarde didn't really want to back down but his Corner felt that Anthony Yarde couldn't take anymore beating that they resulted in throwing the towel on Round 8 where Beterbiev knock down Anthony Yarde with a solid punch but Antony Yarde doesn't really want to give up so he stands up but Artur Beterbiev doesn't want that to happen and rain down punches on Yarde that resulted for Yarde's corner to stop the fight because they already know that Anthony Yarde will not give up on the fight and will continue, right now Artur Baterbiev has a stunning record of 19 wins all 19 are KO that was really a perfect record in my opinion,

I have won the bet on Round Range of 7 - 9 because I know that this fight will not be profitable if you don't have any other option for betting, but let's discuss what is next for Artur Beterbiev, I really think there isn't much anymore that wants to fight him,

Hopefully this will be the case, specially for Crawford who really wanted to get this fight. And Spence can't hide or duck anymore because that's one stumbling block in their first negotiations. Now there are someone more experience to talk in behalf of Crawford.

Very nice mate,

Yes, it was a good performance Artem, it was a hard and grind fight, was a battle till the last round. Artem took the best shot of David Jimenez and there were times that you thought Jimenez got the best of the exchange. But Artem will come back and try to outwork him in the corner.

I agree that Yarde at some point of the fight, we think that he might have a good chance. As I have said in the previous thread, he is ahaed at least by a point in my unofficial scoring card. But Beterbiev has been in several wars himself and he knows what to do in order to win. And Beterbiev post fight that said Yarde punches hard too. But he prepared very well in this fight that's why he was able to make a comeback and it was over and didn't last 12 rounds.
Both fighters are hurt, Beterbiev's cut is actually the worst, eyelid cut. There's a chance the referee will stop it and I think that is why he was focused to end it immediately as it could be the reason for him to lose the belt. Yarde will win it too if the game ends with a UD, he had been throwing punches endlessly and that may have been the other reason for the exhaustion while Beterbiev picks his punches, accurate and solid ones.
Congrats and that's a good observation, it's the stamina and not just the speed, Beterbiev fight so well keeping his defense and make sure that he will have that energy to push the fight when Yarde is already running out of gas, it's a tough call but it's a needed call for the camp to avoid more damages for Yarde, if Beterbiev will connect more strong combinations they will risk the physical health of Yarde.

Better to stop and learn from this mistake and try to improve in case there's another chance of challenging the belt.
I am actually surprised and I think that was the first time I saw a coach go up the ring to stop the fight. I think Yarde said something to his coach after the knockdown and he got up to his corner. The referee is also too good to let him continue as I think it was a 10 count and he cannot get his hands up, it is the ref who forced him to make a fighting position.

It's a win, yahoo.

Artem Dalakian won on a unanimous decision against David Jimenez.

Arthur Beterbiev knocked down Anthony Yarde with a right hook in the 8th round but after he got up the coach stepped in to save his fighter from more damage and stopped the fight.
I really thought Yarde is going to win it as he had his moments, especially in the 5th round as he hurt Beterbiev at some part but he failed to connect. The champion had some good defense and toughness and even if he doesn't have the speed, they made a good strategy for slowing down Yarde. From 4th round, Yarde's footwork was gone, he said he have the speed as his upper hand but he forgot to add some stamina.
The champion will be keeping all his belts.

Congrats mate. The spread was very small for Artur, but it's still good because you won the game. It was not an easy win for him, good thing he was able to connect with a solid punch that put Yarde down and that was the end of the fight as Yarde could not respond anymore.

Just watch the highlights but I heard the news that he won the fight, he is still undefeated now and with a perfect KO win in all of his fights.
Beterbiev is really a monster, no one can survive from his punch. I think if there's a fight where he can't knock out his opponent, anyone will think the boxer is capable and has a power to compete with Beterbiev. The odds for Beterbiev to win via decision is high too since everyone know Beterbive always knock out every opponents including the strong boxer like Yarde, Smith Jr, Gvozdyk and Browne.

Could Bivol survive for the complete 12 rounds or he will pull an upset against Beterbiev?

Yes, I do think that Yarde did very good in this fight and judges awarded him as he was ahead in the 2 cards. But it's just a matter on time before he will be caught by Beterbiev's power and that happen. Just very unfortunately that he was doing good until the 8th, and the right hand had a lot of power as you can see in his eyes that he felt that power.

Beterbiev is 38 years old, and Yarde is 31 years old. Big difference in the age gap but Yarde said he is faster and younger and although Beterbiev is undefeated he will take advantage of this opportunity given to him. 3 titles in one match, this will be a big one if he wins this match. A big "if".
Power > Speed (at least for me)

Power + toughness < Speed + toughness for me.  With speed/reflex and toughness, a boxer can be able to withstand the powerful blow of the opponent if he is hit but most of the time he can evade the punches of the more powerful opponent and at the same time delivering more hits.

Speed doesn't matter for me if you can get knocked out in one power punch by your opponent. Beterbiev isn't throwing that much punches, but each of his punches is very strong that it can knock you out. That's why all of Beterbiev's wins are all coming from Knockout.

True that is why speed should be paired with toughness.  This reminds me of Roy Jones, he was quick and has great speed in his prime and be able to evade punches of the opponent while delivering punches.  Then later after his prime, he was exposed that he has a glass chin which became the target of his opponent that resulted in consecutive losses.

On the other hand, let's still not forget that anything can happen in basketball as well as in boxing. We've seen some upsets in the past years and this fight might be as well, but the chances of it to happen? Close to zero and even though the odds are kind of low, I might put a bet on Beterbiev on this one Smiley.

True there is always this variables that can change the tide of the game.
