Anybody else think it’s a little strange that Jake Paul already has his next fight lined up and he hasn’t even fought Tommy Fury yet? Is that normal in boxing? It seems strange to me that it doesn’t really matter who wins or loses this Paul/Fury fight if the next event with KSI is already lined up. This will probably fuel the fire of a conspiracy that all of Jake Paul’s fights are rigged. I don’t believe that for whatever it’s worth.
Basing up on what i have searched
Jake Paul next fight: ‘Problem Child’ vs. Tommy Fury in February
https://sportsnaut.com/jake-paul-next-fight/

So i dont know if its cancelled or not and talking already about KSI. I cant be sure about being rigged with those Pauls fight but it is really hard
to believe on.

So here is the odds for Vargas vs Foster,

ML is Vargas @1.54 and Foster @2.50

Vargas by KO @6.20
Foster by KO @6.00

Vargas by decision @1.99
Foster by decision @3.90

All taken from Stake, so it looks like Rey Vargas by decision might be a good odds to bet. I'm expecting this to be a brawl, but it could go to the judges scored and perhaps Vargas edging Foster.
Thanks. It actually changed. @2.04 for Rey Vargas and @3.70 for Oshaquie Foster.
That's how fast it could be in just a day of missing the odds. I guess there are also gamblers who are predicting for Foster to win this match.

The lowest would be the bet for "Will the fight go the distance?" @1.31
Spectators and analysts might be predicting this to end in a UD but just don't have the accuracy to predict who will be the winner in the end. I think that's the safest bet of all.
Vargas not having any KO in his last recent fights, but Foster has some mixed results in his last fights.
This is kind of difficult to decide on whom and what to bet for.

Anthony Joshua will be looking to make his return back to boxing after his loosing streak that made him go private for a while and away from any further fight. This will be an important fight for him on the 1st of April and I cannot imagine how bad it will be for his career and him if he looses again to a fighter like Jermaine Franklin. Jermaine Franklin may look like an easy opponent for Anthony Joshua, but anything is still possible and maybe Franklin intends to use this opportunity to impress as well and show that he can fight high profiled boxers.
Don't get me wrong, the gap difference between Joshua and Franklin is really huge. The reason why Joshua lose his last two fights because he's want get back all of his belts. He was start from the bottom and almost become an undisputed heavyweight champion, he only lack of The Ring belt. Joshua is experienced and have fought many good boxers, while Franklin only win against weak boxers, his biggest fight was against Dillian Whyte, but he lose.

99% bettors will go for Joshua, but the odds is really small and not worth to bet.

Vargas vs Magsayo II, that's a good title, and everyone will be interested watching to know if Magsayo will successfully take his revenge, who knows? we might see a trilogy if he wins.

The rematch is only possible to happen:

- if Rey Vargas fails in his attempt to get the vacant WBC Super Featherweight Title against O'Shaquie Foster on February 11
- if Mark Magsayo will win against Brandon Figueroa in their WBC Featherweight interim bout on March 4

It's not making sense for Vargas to pursue the Super Featherweight Title and be able to win it, then return to 126. He will surely move forward with the new division if he wins. That makes him out of contention in the 126. Not unless in the future, Magsayo will also consider moving up to 130, he might meet Vargas again.

Good thing with Magsayo if he will win his fight against Figueroa and Vargas will step down again and face Magsayo for possible title match, money wise it will give Magsayo decent amount of profits, but first he needs to take care of Figueroa and make sure that he will be ready for Vargas if he decided to go back and negotiate for the possible fight.

Future will be much better for them as they've got that chance to make money with the fans who wanted to see how those fighters will perform.

I love to see that Magsayo will be taking his revenge to a fighter that had beaten him. This fight is his best chance though, he is fighting a good fighter so if he wins this, it only imply that he had learn from his mistakes and have made adjustments to make himself a better fighter.

Same here, I believe he can still make a difference against Vargas and will get his revenge by taking the belt again on Vargas's possession. But that's still a long way for now because even if Magsayo got some decent chance over Figueroa, we still can't underestimate him that easily because just like Magsayo, the man got skills.

Magsayo had that belt in the first place, he should be able to get a rematch and both promoters' sides should love the idea because it can hoard more money for both camps.
After this fight against Figueroa, he should pursue taking back the WBC title. I just wish it will be a different result when that fight comes.

If the goal is to just get the WBC Title, no need for Magsayo to clash with Vargas again in a rematch.

Let's say Magsayo won this interim fight against Figueroa and Vargas won against Foster, the latter won't surely bother to return to 126 and he will finally give up the title he got to Magsayo. Then Magsayo will be elevated his status to regular champion and will continue his journey again in the 126.

Just a what-if though but likely to happen as I'm biased toward Magsayo lol.

As enticing as a Vargas-Magsayo II to happen, I don't think Magsayo is even a favorite to win against Brandon Figueroa whose only loss was a very close decision to Stephen Fulton in a unification fight. And I think Rey Vargas will successfully win his 3rd division belt which makes the rematch becoming more difficult. I honestly, would like to see an improved Magsayo when he fights Figueroa. Hopefully, he is not the same Magsayo that has limited stamina and has difficulty when facing a brawler. Because if not, Figueroa will take him into deep waters and stops him.

Everybody in this division wants former WBA champion Luis Santa-Cruz because he is the biggest money-maker in this division. The same reason why the corrupt WBA allowed him to hostage the real WBA belt for years despite being already inactive in the division. Magsayo wanted to unify with LSC before. And then Vargas also chased for an LSC fight after taking the WBC belt.

This is going to be the hardest fight of Magsayo, Figueroa is a former champion and likes to take punches to give punches, this is going to be a slugfest because both fighters like to move forward, I agree that Magsayo's stamina is a big concern especially if he is fighting the like of Figueroa, hopefully, his team can do something on this, he needs a good nutritionist and also a good conditioning coach to be able to last a full 12 rounds of a slugfest.
I'm still hoping Magsayo can pull this one, to keep the legacy of Manny Pacquiao.

Yes, Figueroa can also take those solid punches and absorb it so Magsayo needs to have more stamina to last the fight, it was his weakness when he tried to defend his belt but unfortunately he loses the fight, now it is his chance to climb back and I'm hoping that the team behind him already have a best solution with regarding to this exposed weakness.

I'm also with you. I'm aiming for Magsayo to win this fight and hopefully make his way to bring more hypes and more belts under his name.

Figueroa has the same goal as he did challenge Vargas for that title match last July (after he took it from Magsayo) but ended up being denied to get the opportunity because Vargas said he has nothing to gain from it.
This may end up as a great fight as both boxers are aiming to get the title match that they badly want.

I think Magsayo had difficulty fighting with tall boxers as well, and he did good against Vargas, but the thing is that Vargas has a tough chin and even if Magsayo hits him flush Rey keeps coming back and that's why he in the latter rounds, Mark begin to tire and gas out and allow Vargas to score in the judges score card.

Hopefully we will see an improved Magsayo against Brandon Figueroa, I know it will be tough for him as Figueroa is a volume puncher, but hopefully he will learn a lot from that lost against Vargas.

So he moved to super featherweight and not going to defend his belt at featherweight? that's weird though, at least it's before to defend it one time before going up in weight.

He still holds the WBC Featherweight title. It's just that the WBC Super Featherweight title got vacated and as a WBC Champion at 126, he is qualified to fight for the vacant WBC 130 lbs title. If he wins, he needs to decide whether to continue in the new division, the 130 lbs, or return to 126 lbs to defend his crown or to push to his original plan, hoping for unification fights against WBA Featherweight Champion Leo Sta Cruz.

To simply explain this:

- if Rey Vargas will win against Foster, likely he will continue his journey at 130lbs and will give up his 126lbs title
- if Rey Vargas will lose against Foster, he will return to 126lbs as a champion and will mandatory face the winner between Mark Magsayo and Brandon Figueroa for his title defense match
- if Rey Vargas will finally move up to 130lbs as a champion, the winner between Magsayo and Figueroa will be elevated as a full champion

Someone can correct me on this if I missed something. Smiley

-I also think the first two option is possible to happen, if Rey Vargas is able to win the 130 lbs title, it is obvious that he will continue his journey in this division making him vacate the other title in 126lbs
-If he lost I agree that he will go back to 126 lbs since there is nothing to do on the 130 lbs.  staying there without a title is just a waste of possible matches in the lower division.
-The third one i think depends on the timing.  If Vargas vacated the title before the fight between Magsayo and Figueroa, then who ever the winner betwen Magsayo and Figueroa will be the champion if the governing body declare the fight is for the vacant title belt.  But if the fight happen before Vargas relinquish his title then, I believe there will be another match for the vacant belt.  This time I think whoever won between Magsayo and Figueroa will face another fighter for the vacant title.

That is how I understand the situation will be.

The winner between Magsayo vs Figueroa could be the interim and then relegated to full WBC champion if Vargas win the fight against Foster and decided to not go back to 126 lbs anymore.

So yes, everything depends on the showing of Vargas and also Figueroa as well as he can go down to 122 lbs if he doesn't feel comfortable here.

Division is up for grabs, at least the WBC belt, and then we have some good names in the entire division, with Lara and Emanuel Navarrete WBO champion who has a fight against a top 130 lbs and won the vacant WBO at that weight category.

Thanks bro, I also try to analyze as well as why Vargas was in for the title shot or at least the chance to become a 2 division champion with a move up.

There are two great boxers in the WBC ranking, Oscar Valdez (former champion) and Robson Conceicao. Valdez lost to Shakur and lost his belt. But prior to that he fought Robson in a very close match. So obviously, WBC doesn't want to have Oscar and Robson fight for the belt again and given the chance to Foster which is rated 1 in their division. However, there is also rank 2 Eduardo Fernandez which was bypass by the WBC for their championship belt. So yeah, if Vargas win here then most likely he will retain and start his journey at this division and hopefully the first crack or his first defense will by Eduardo Fernandez.

In any case, it seems that he is the favorite even though moving up in weight.

Rey Vargas is coming to the super featherweight as a champion and Foster, on the other hand, is currently the Rank 1 contender in that division. Therefore, Vargas is the obvious favorite to win that match. Although, I was surprised by the huge gap in odds.

No idea how Foster way of fighting but if he's used to fighting at the Super Featherweight, he should at least can give trouble to the undefeated Rey Vargas. But knowing Vargas, he won't challenge the WBC Super Featherweight if he's not ready for it.

Just less than a week before the clash and we will see how this fight will turned out.

Yes, it seems that the rankings is also messed up, and Vargas just leapfrog everyone and then fight the Rank 1 contender in that division. Perhaps it was due to Vargas being the champion, but still though, Foster in the natural super Featherweight so again he is not tested but we will see how will do and since the bookies will put him as their favorite, and we can call him outstanding favorite because of the huge gap.

I guess this is one fight that is a must see as well, specially how well Vargas beat Magsayo in the 126 lbs and become the champion. So everyone is going to look for this performance here and see how well will he do.
