Apparently they have found the replacement for Mike Tyson and Jake Paul is rumoured to face Mike Perry on 20th July.
I think most would be familiar with Mike Perry, but for those who aren't, he's a former MMA fighter who's now a bare-knuckle fighting superstar.
Given he's not retired as most of Paul's previous opponents, it could be a biggest challenge Paul has faced to date.

@Hirose UK. I agree on your argument that Inoue does not need this fight, however, I very much disagree that this fight will be worthless if this was negotiated by their teams, approved by the fighters and promoted by the promoters. This will be one of the biggest fights in boxing similar to Tank vs. King Ry. If they are not fighting for a championship, this fight will also be a legacy fight.

It will really cemented their legacy specially for the winner of this fight and I think it will be bigger than Tank vs King Ry specially if Inoue can continue to win and become a champion and dominated his opponent, similar to what Tank Davis might also do.

So it will be good though, no matter how you look at it and then we have the comparison again with Manny Pacquiao going up in weight limit and then punishing Miguel Cotto at his best weight class. So this is very much possible to happen, hopefully both can sit down and talk if the opportunity presents itself.

@FinneysTrueVision. I will apply to be the personal adviser of Inoue and I will advise him to accept a fight from the scammer Tank Davis with an agreement that this fight will be in super featherweight and Tank should also sign an agreement that he will not be more than 137 pounds after the weight cut and during the fight hehehehe. He will not be very brave to accept this. Tank does not care about boxing. He only wants to take money. Do not pay for his payperviews hehehhehe.
But I think Inoue doesn't need that fight because basically he has got what he wants to achieve success in his career as great, undefeated boxer and has succeeded in holding several titles together.
There is no benefit in making deal with Tank Davis and of course this will just be worthless fight, for money reasons maybe it could be considered but if something bad happens then Inoue name will not be what it is today.
Apart from that, Tank Davis also doesn't need fight with Inoue and if that could be done then of course they would have been able to meet some time ago, Tank Davis also rejected a fight against Inoue when previously there was an offer to meet.
Difference in weight also looks quite large, even though Tank Davis could decrease it or Inoue could increase it, but if this is done then one of them will suffer loss.
In the future it might happen but there will never be any certainty, it just that there is news that Inoue is targeting the class above him.

One of the dream fights for sure as boxing fans wanted to see this hypothetical fight happening in the future. In case though, how do you see the odds here? Who will be the favorite?

@Finestream - that is the true odds for now, so much disrespect for Estrada though.

Inoue doesn’t need this fight as much as Davis does. Inoue is a top pound for pound fighter with a hall of fame worth resume. Tank should be more focused on champions that are in the divisions he competes in like Loma and Shakur, but it is very clear that he is avoiding them. There is absolutely no reason for Inoue to make all kinds of concessions to give Tank an advantage.

If PBC wants to make that fight, Tank should be the one going down in weight or at least agree to a reasonable catchweight. There is also no obligation for Inoue to go to Tank’s country. They can make it happen on neutral territory, like Saudi Arabia.
Tank Davis might be wise though and will not go on a catch weight, he will demand a full class weight of 135 lbs because that's what Tank Davis most comfortable weight. Well it's because of the news that Inoue is walking about 137 lbs off season that this dream fight might have happen.

But Tank will go up in weight for sure at 140 lbs if he can't secure any good fight at 135 lbs. And Inoue might stay at the range of 126 lbs to 130 lbs and conquer more belts. However, if there's so much money in the line like Saudi sponsoring this kind of dream fight so maybe Inoue is willing to go.

It's almost zero chance of Naoya Inoue to face Tank Davis in the future. Tank might even move up to 140 or catchweight below 140 once he enters in his 30s. And as for Inoue, 126 could be his last or he tries at 130 like Pacman did at 154 and then drop down again in weight. This is just like Bob Arum speculating the possibility of Nonito Donaire facing then undefeated Yuriorkis Gamboa at 130. It didn't happened. The weight difference is just too much. Inoue first became champion at 108 while Tank became champ at 130 which is 6 divisions apart.

^^ That will be one of the most anticipated fight if ever, Tank Davis vs Naoya Inoue at 135 lbs. But the key take away here are:

>> Inoue is moving up, although it's been reported that he is walking about 137 lbs, we don't know if he can bring that power
>> He was knock down by Nery in their last fight, means that someone that has big power like a natural Light weight in Davis could knock him out for good

So for me, it will be Tank Davis that will be the favorite and I'm seeing him winning by either decision of by a huge knockout.
Another factor to be listed down is also where the fight will happen. But are we guessing all here right that it will happen wherever Naoya Inoue likes to fight? yes, in his home country - Japan.

And assuming that this fight is really going to happen, I do hope that Inoue will go to USA, there's no way that Tank is willing to go to Japan.
Let's hope that Naoya will give it to his bashers that he'd agree to fight outside Japan and this is going to be in Las Vegas. Maybe a big offer might be given to him just to take this condition that the fight will happen overseas as for sure that's going to bring him more money.

Yes, it could be that Inoue will be the underdog and I like the question on whether he can bring his power to this weight class. I think he still has a good chin because of the added weight, it's just whether is power will still be there or not.
I have confidence on Inoue and he's on his prime and that's why if the odds are going to make him the underdog, that's a wow thing to do and probably a good fight to gamble on.

That's a risky move for Inoue if he'll do that but a brave move. For a boxer that is being ranked at number 1 in the p2p, he should impressed the fans by pushing his limit, and I think he'll be a good match with Tank Davis as Inoue had proven it already that he could carry his power and speed.

So for me, it will be Tank Davis that will be the favorite and I'm seeing him winning by either decision of by a huge knockout.
This might be the first time where Inoue will be the underdog, and I'll take that all day.

Everyone should really take the risk, I don't think that Inoue is afraid though, for me it all boils down to Tank as he was really protected and they (his management and team), want's him to have a perfect winning record like Floyd.

Yes, he could be a big underdog and just like you many should see value on him.

And after that HI Turki Alalshikh also made official that Bivol’s fight with Beterbiev will be this October 12. And I think Beterbiev could be around 80-90% and his injuries are healing enough to be ready for October. I think that's what we are looking, the next biggest fight for this year, unification and then we also have David Benavidez inserting his name in the LHW division.

I didn't know the date was announced. October is not very far away. Hopefully they gave enough time to Arthur to recover properly. He's not the youngest anymore and knee injury is one of the worst, as it makes any boxing or cardio training impossible, maybe except for some upper body strength exercises.
This will be the biggest fight in Beterbiev's career, so he shouldn't rush to it until he's 100% healthy.

For sure there is no rush for Beterbiev, still a lot of time for him to recover and be healthy and go to train because he knows what are the risk involved here, it's the unification and fans are eagerly waiting for this biggest fight at LHW after many years.

That's the thing do with boxers who really aged, they have a lot of damage already and sooner or later it will show and that's what happen here, it is a ruptured meniscus.

And as far as I know, he was mandated by the WBC to submit the medical examination and most likely keeping tabs with them.

That really put Inoue at the top of the pound for pound list if ever he will fight and beat Tank Davis. So the ball is now on the Davis part, if he is willing to take that risk because there were interview of his saying that Inoue is too small for him. But perhaps that was the time when Inoue is at 118 lbs, so maybe in the future, he will consider fighting at his comfortable weight of 135 lbs.

And interesting that Estrada is a huge underdog in his fight. Per ML,

Estrada-4.0
Rodriguez-1.22

I have to verify the odds as I was thinking maybe it's just a typo error, but the same thing can be seen here.
https://box.live/boxing-betting/estrada-vs-rodriguez-odds/

This is really is the real odds, and with this kind of odds, I have to do further research on how it happened, but if I will to decide now on which fighter to choose, I'd close my eyes and will choose Rodriguez to win as he is the right bet based on the odds.

I haven't seen anyone discussed about this fight, It's Jesse Rodriguez against Juan Francisco Estrada. The fight is schedule this June 29.

It will be the first time that Estrada will defend his WBC belt after defeating Roman ‘Chocolatito’ Gonzalez. And he has been inactive for 2 years so this could be a big factor in this fight as he is no longer getting any younger as well and he had a lot of wear and tear throughout his career.

He will be fighting one of the best prospects in Jesse Rodriguez, the number 1 contender, and has been a flyweight champion.

Might be interesting to see Teo Lopez vs Ryan Garcia as the center piece of the fight. And how do you think the match in this fight besides the fighter that I mentioned?

I wouldn't be surprised if Ryan is the heavy favorite if this fight happens. This is one of the fights I would like to see this year—two warriors going against each other. I'm sure it will end with a knockout from either boxer, but I would always back Ryan to win here as I'm impressed with his performance against Haney. I'm not sure if Teo is quick enough to negate Ryan's reach advantage, which I'm sure Ryan will use to prevent Teo's attacks and to dominate the fight.

It certainly will be very head scratching if Ryan Garcia is the heavy favorite against Teo Lopez. If he will be chosen by the oddsmakers as the favorite, it will be a small favorite, I reckon. I am very much aware that Ryan won vs. Devin Haney, however, this might imply more that Devin Haney might not be as good as the hype than King Ry is a very good boxer. If you tell me that I am wrong, watch Devin Haney vs. Loma. I speculate Teo will be the favorite for this fight.

Devin Haney was the outstanding favorite because he was a champion and coming from a big victory from Regis Prograis, a natural 140 lbs and he knock him down. While Ryan won but it was just a tune up fight then. But I do agree that if ever the two will face in the ring, Teo will be the slight favorite against Ryan even though he just won against Devin Haney.

It's just one performance of Ryan against a top caliber fighter, but now it's been tainted with controversies and it could really be a factor as why he would be the underdog against Teo. I'm seeing like 1.6-8x odds for Teo and they Ryan around 2.5-2.8x, something around that line.
