The abuse of social media has finally taken its toll again and Ryan Garcia has officially been dismissed from his WBC membership after making controversial and racist statements in his posts on Instagram, I think what Garcia did should be a lesson for many young boxers who want to start their careers in boxing, for don't do ridiculous things and actually destroy their career as a boxer, In fact, Garcia is a boxer who is quite talented and would probably have a brilliant career if he could avoid things that continue to trigger controversy today, as a boxer who is still very young, of course the way is open for him to get a better career in the future, especially since all this time, Ryan Garcia has been under the promoter of boxing legend Oscar De La Hoya, so it is very likely that Ryan Garcia will be able to get a better opportunity to become a great boxer with help from Oscar de la Hoya, but after everything Ryan Garcia is doing now and after his expulsion from the WBC so we can say that his career is over.

What can you say about Robson Conceicao winner over a controversial decision against O'shaquie Foster

Quote
Minutes later, the 8,412 in attendance received more of a jolt from the result than the fight itself, when Brazilian Robson Conceicao, trying for the fourth time to win a world junior lightweight title, pulled off a shocker, winning the WBC belt by controversial split decision over O’Shaquie Foster, despite being outlanded 109-76 in total connects and in 10 of 12 rounds.

However, Conceicao (19-2-1, 5 knockouts) did enough to convince judges Paul Wallace (115-113) and Anthony Lundy (116-112) that he won, overruling judge Ron McNair’s 116-112 scorecard for Foster and what everyone else saw on the undercard of the Shakur Stevenson-Artem Harutyunyan WBC lightweight title fight.

At ringside, The Ring had Foster winning 118-110, giving Conceicao the fourth and 11th rounds.

https://www.ringtv.com/678230-robson-conceicao-wins-a-controversial-upset-over-oshaquie-foster-for-wbc-junior-lightweight-title/

It could be one of the biggest robberies for this year, the numbers are not lying but perhaps the two judges are watching other fights. There could be highlights in Youtube for now and maybe some of you are going to watch it and see it for yourself if the judges make the correct decision or not.

And it was said that Shakur turns down a $15 million 5 fight from Top Rank,

Quote
“Yeah, it's not chump change,” Stevenson said in an interview that aired on ESPN immediately before his win against Harutyunyan. “But I know my worth and I know who I am now. I understand my value, from when I first signed with them to now – it’s a lot higher.

https://www.boxingscene.com/shakur-stevenson-turns-down-5-fight-15m-top-rank-deal-arums-saving-son-lomachenko-from-ass-whooping--184715

Hopefully it will not back fire on his as obviously he is not a crowd draw like Tank Davis and Ryan Garcia. And he might not able to fight the winner of Tank Davis vs Loma, and if ever he will be given the chance, he will not be the A-side for that fight and he might just be that same value that Top Rank is offering to him. And then we will see excuses that he was low balled and what's not, but it's the business of boxing.

That's the kind of risk he is taking. We can't blame him as he wants a bigger slice of the pie, so he'll get out and prove his worth. There are a lot of boxers who have tried the same strategy but failed. Hopefully, for Stevenson, he will be able to keep his value and find a real opponent that could excite the fans, like an opponent that is not cherry-picked by him or probably Bob during his time. Maybe he needs to get more aggressive, as boxing is not really about keeping the undefeated record, but about how to entertain the fans since that's where the money comes from.
Correct, it's a big risk on Shakur's end to not sign with Top Rank anymore and pursue being his own promoter or work with others as it is business. But for now, the way we look at it, he is not worth to be a PPV star because his style is not meant to be in the main event as he can't draw crowd. He did in his several last fights but it's all on his native city. But now even his local fans are leaving early and booing him because of his style. So let's see who's his new manager, I'm also seeing that maybe Eddie Hearn has pitch already and that he could have promised a Tank Davis fight for him in the future. So let's see how it goes, Bob Arum though says that Tank and Loma are going to fight next.

And if I'm not mistaken, this is Shakur's last fight with Top Rank and he says that he will not longer re-sign with Bob Arum.

Ohh, this must be the reason of his lackluster performance tonight hehe. Honestly, i fall asleep watching the fight, i just don't know the reason why Shakur didn't threw that much punch to at least hurt his opponent as he could hit him at will.

Anyways, with his performance tonight i don't think Bob Arum would be eager to re-sign him as he is such a boring fighter at least for me.

Everyone fell asleep watching the fight and I do agree that he was boo'ed by the crowd. Others says he put a masterclass there, but fans alike says that it was really a snoozer and even if he wins by a huge margin, still it was not impressive at all. Pacman would have won in that kind of score but we knows that he throws a lot of punch and he entertained us.

But here, he will just wait and then counter and move back. If this is his last fight with Top Rank, the most likely he will go with Matchroom, I see interview of Eddie Hearn praising him,  Grin.

I don't think that Shakur though could win against Loma even if Loma is old. Shakur might be too technical, but Loma has fought a lot of fighters in his resume that tends to be tactical, but they say No Mas to him.

It will be Loma vs Tank first and so Shakur will have to wait if the winner is willing to face him because his style is boring.

I didn't even watch this fight as I know it will be an easy win by him, and in fact I wasn't wrong because he won by unanimous decision. And thanks for saying it was a boring fight, at least I didn't waste my time watching this. So if he'll break his tie with Top Rank, will he be promoting himself? And if that will happen, will he be eager to fight a true champion that he has a 50/50 chance of winning?

Yes, if he insist to push his way on his own he needs to sell his name and like what you mentioned he needs to fight or challenge a true champion where the ratio from wining and losing are the same, I guess with how it was been describe aside from his loyal fans thsoe who loves seeing real actions will hesitate to watch his fight as they knew what will be the outcome, else, there's a competition that will give him a great fight if he accept challenge from someone who can really beat him if mistakenly prepared for it.

I'm surprised that no one is talking about Shakur Stevenson vs  Artem Harutyunyan fight.

Where's our underdog boxing fans at? Are we going to see a upset or Shakur is not just overhype and will win this fight although it could be another snoozer of a fight, LOL. So let's see if Shakur win's here and call Tank Davis or Loma for his next big fight.

And if I'm not mistaken, this is Shakur's last fight with Top Rank and he says that he will not longer re-sign with Bob Arum.

Shakur’s fights tend to be boring sometimes, and it is hard to build excitement for those kind of fighters. Lightweight has some good fighters like Loma, Tank, Berinchyk, and Zepeda. Out of all those, Berinchyk seems the most willing to fight him, but he is with Top Rank so I’m not sure how well he can do by switching promoters. He could end up like Demetrius Andrade, because of his style everyone avoided him and he faded into irrelevance.

And the fight ended on judges scorecard, Shakur won, but then again, even in his own Newark, fans are booing him because of this boring fight. So it's tends to be the style of Stevenson, he is more technical but the thing is that the fans doesn't appreciate if a boxer wins in a one sided decision with no action in the ring and punches thrown are way below the average at 135 lbs.

So I doubt that fighters are avoiding him, it's not his style are not tailor fit for anyone as again, he tends to be more defensive and doesn't want to engage and just waiting to counter his opponents. And I believed if Tank fight him next, Davis power will be to much for Shakur and he will suffer his first loss against Tank.

And looking at the odds, Harutyunyan is a 13:1 underdog, lol. So it looks like the sports bookies thinks that this is going to be an easy fight but could be boring win again for Shakur and probably this is one reason why he is not getting the money that he want or fighters doesn't want to fight him because of his style. But there are names like Tank Davis and Lomachenko that is good for Shakur's resume. But we will have to wait here, he needs to win impressively and maybe Tank will give him that fight and him and Tank has been trolling each other in their social media accounts and wanted to fight each other.

Agree, not sure what Top Rank is getting boxers that are good but not really a sell off to the fans. And it's most likely why Top Rank is setting him to fight in his native city so that at least it can attract some fans to watch his fight.

This could be hist last fight as I read his intentions to get out of Bob Arum, but not sure where he is going, to PBC and so he can fight with Tank Davis? And if so, perhaps he can't have Loma then as Loma remains loyal with Top Rank.

And Bam Rodriguez beat the legendary Estrada, although early on, Estrada score a flash knock down on Rodriguez, Bam continue his aggression and that body shot really put down Estrada for good. Here are the highlights of the fight,

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tSscLSVqfiU

It might be good for Rodriguez to move up to 118 lbs and fight the winner of Ioka vs Martinez, that will be huge specially if that happen in Japan (meaning Ioka beating Martinez this week).

Bam Rodriguez won very impressively and has added another big name to his resume. At 24 years old he is already considered one of the top pound for pound fighters. If his career continues on this trajectory he could soon become #1. While other fighters only care about money and protecting their records, Bam is building a legacy by facing the best available competition.

Yes, it's a very impressive win for Bam Rodriguez and I'm not that surprised that even if he is facing a legend, he is still a huge favorite going into that fight. And true, I read that Estrada, despite how he lost this fight, wanted a rematch, however, I'm not seeing Estrada going to win in the second fight as obviously the young Bam has more skills and we can clearly see the difference in terms of power.
Perhaps it was just the pride that keep Estrada looking for a rematch here, but based on the numbers, he was already outnumbers by the young Bam Rodriguez and you can clearly see the difference in power. Of course, experience wise we will give it to Estrada, but it was not enough as the upcoming Bam Rodriguez is too much and very eager to proved that he belong to the pound for pound list with this big devastating win.

In terms of Japanese, there are two names as champion, one is Ioka and then Kosei Tanaka. And if goes up to the next weight class at 118 lbs, all champions are Japanese, including the brother of Naoya Inoue. So imagine if he slayed all the Japanese in the higher or even at his weight class, he will cement his legacy for good.
It's just a cycle perhaps. There were years that the Philippines was taking over in the lower weight class but now they don't have any big champion in boxing as most of them have retired and no longer in their prime. So that's it, for now there are no competition as Japan is taking over, but sooner or later the Philippines will produce a lot of champions that will follow the footsteps of Manny Pacquaio or Nonito Donaire and carry their flag again.

Regarding Bam Rodriguez, I think he deserved it, victory that really surprised everyone considering he is still very young but already has record as one of the great young boxers and is undefeated.
But he still needs lot of experience and maybe in the future we can see him become one of the best and even be able to win more titles from several different classes, the potential that Bam Rodriguez has is very large.

Japan is currently the place for champions and previously we knew that several years ago there was the Philippines and this country also previously had the best boxer who is said to be one of the best boxing legends of all time, namely Manny Pacquiao.
But now Japan is producing many young fighters who are truly very talented and have shown their prowess by having several championship titles for each class they participate in, but the best is still Inoue who has combined 3 championship titles.

Correct, him and Haney are two of the youngest boxers that might have accomplished more as compared to their contemporaries but Haney though suffered that humiliating lost to Ryan Garcia already. But Bam was tested by the legendary Estrada and pass it with flying colours. And yes, his resume is not slowly building up as he has slayed one legendary already. And if he continue to chase the winner of Ioka vs. Martinez and he win, then another title belt for him and could be in the mix for pound for pound. Although this lower weight category doesn't have the love from those who are making the list. Although that Estrada will activate the rematch clause and so we might see a second fight between the two.
