I think Munguia will go and try to win here, it's will not be for entertainment purposes for sure. He has been dreaming of fighting Canelo for years and this is his one chance to win and get the belt and become the next star, him and Ryan Garcia. That's why you can see thru the eyes of his promoter that Oscar is very glad to set up the fight.

David Benavidez is going up at 175 lbs already so Canelo it out of the picture for now. But David has a chance to become a unified champion himself. So they have separated their ways for now and only time can tell if Canelo is still interested on Benavidez or will go after Berlanga next as this is what boxing reporters are telling us.

Inoue and Nery, another great fight, but I think Inoue wins here.

But Ryan didn't mentioned his name and obviously Ryan is looking for great fights and Sean is not a option for him right now.

as you said I am also not sure what they are actually arguing about. it definitely looks like the argument is not going anywhere anytime soon. I just don't like what Canelo is doing because he is not talking risk fighting fighters that are top rated, but who knows he might be wrong in picking Jaime and might upset here.

At the stage of his career, he should be focusing on bigger fights, like pushing his limit as eventually he will retire, at least he tried to give impress the fans by giving them a more exciting fight to watch.

And the underdog betting continues hehehe, Ryan Garcia proved it can be done and with them the same stable with Golden Boy, maybe at the back of his mind, he is thinking that he can do it as long as he believed in his ability to defeat Canelo.

For gamblers who got a big nerve and love taking the big risk, placing bet for Munguia will surely satisfied their appetite, knowing that in gambling upset can happened, we don't know for sure if he may do that against Alvarez but then again we just watch that kind of upset previously with Garcia and Haney, though different fighters and also different breed and fighting capabilities, more on determinations and how they will prepare themselves for this fight.

Regarding to that said odd, if you are aiming for Alvarez maybe better to wait for other alternative options, which mostly shows up when the fight is nearing or in the actual live fight bookies may offer other options to gamble.

UFC bantamweight champion Sean O'Malley claims he’s had preliminary discussions with the UFC brass about a future boxing match against Ryan Garcia, and it’s not out of the realm of possibility.

Garcia has captured the attention of the combat sports world in recent days after he concluded an erratic and concerning build to his boxing match against Devin Haney with a shocking majority decision victory Saturday at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, N.Y.

Garcia’s performance, in which he scored three knockdowns on Haney, turned him from a seemingly toxic force to a desirable matchup for many. That includes O’Malley, who has been beating the drum for a future fight against Garcia, and thinks that pursuit is now only more realistic.

“A boxing fight’s possible, for sure,” O’Malley said on Monday’s episode of the “TimboSugarShow” podcast. “I’m not there yet. I’ve still got to become bigger. Two more f*cking sick performances, then we’re talking about being able to do it.”

I think Jaime is too underrated by the oddsmakers here. He is undefeated, former champion, young and heavy handed. Canelo though has the edge when it comes to skills and experience but Mungia will have the physical advantage being the younger fighter.

The difference with Haney is the punching power. If Haney has the power he could've put Garcia down with those body punches. Garcia's defense is still average but Haney does not have the power. Which is why I still cannot see Ryan capable of winning against the likes of Teofimo Lopez and Subriel Matias. Unless of course if Garcia hurt them right from the start as it will change the tempo of the fight.

I don't think that any oddmakers are going over or under when they list their odds in the market. This punters really know what they are doing and so I don't think they have misplaced it. Munguia is the obvious underdog and Canelo being the cash cow and the A-side will be the favorite here just like in the Bivol fight. But it's not always 100% that the favorite is going to win, obviously as we have been played by Ryan Garcia as he is also a 7:1 underdog at some point and then won in a dominating fashion against the favorite Haney.

So who knows, it could be worth to put some $$$ on Munguia here and we could have witnessed 2-0 underdog win for GBP. This fight is just a couple of weeks and maybe we could see some swings in the odds, at least some movement to close that huge gap and whales shelling out money on Munguia.

The odds seem very fair. Similar to Garcia vs. Haney, there is a significant disparity in skill level. Munguia is a big puncher so we can’t completely count him out. Unlike Haney, Canelo has knockout power and can also take a punch. Munguia won’t be able to just impose his will by charging directly at Canelo. This will be a fight where Canelo’s higher IQ should make the difference.

Seems fair in my opinion, Usually Canelo is really a huge favorite in his fight. But when Ryan won the fight, it makes us think that we should look at the underdog very closely like Jaime Munguia here against Canelo.

Volume will be the key for Munguia and with his youth, I'm expecting him not to get tired and he should really work with that stamina because he will need a lot of it in this fight. The blueprint has been there already, Bivol shows how to beat Canelo, so let's see if Munguia have learn from it and another big upset in boxing for this year is going to happen.

No it's not a misplaced on the part of sport bookies, Munguia is young and has the power, but Canelo has the experience and the quality of the opponents that Canelo has face before. Imagine a GGG vs Munguia, who do you think will win in that fight. The Canelo vs Bivol is different though, Canelo is going up in weight at 175 and we can see that somewhat, the extra poundage in his body makes him slow and that is not his weight class. As here, he is the undisputed in this SMW and no one has beaten him here. And so that is a big task for the young Jaime Munguia. But who knows, if Ryan can do it, then there is a chance for Munguia as well. And if that happens, then it will be 2-0 for Golden Boy in high profile fights. And for sure, Oscar will be happy to get his revenge from Canelo himself.

I don't want to think that there is blood bath between Canelo and Oscar. I think both has move on and Oscar is still making a lot of money from his other boxers. Maybe it's just the media that wanted to put a spin on all of this to hype the fight.

Definitely, if Munguia wins then Oscar will be in heaven as two of his boxers won as biggest underdogs and Munguia becoming the next Mexican superstars. While Garcia can move up to 147 lbs and then chase bigger names and again, make a lot of money for this year alone.

Munguia and Canelo are both in the same stable and that's why some people think there is bad blood which there could be truth to it.
Looking at the odds, seems very favorable to Canelo and I thought Munguia is a decent pick that could have a 1.17 - 2.0 since Munguia is young and a title holder for more than 5 years. But because Canelo is still 33, you could say he is still in a prime age.

Wrong, they are not on the same stable, Canelo has left Golden Boy Promotions years ago, and that's why Oscar is very salty of Canelo for leaving him. And as being promoted, Oscar wanted to get back at Canelo, and he wants his new prodigy, Jaime Munguia to beat Canelo here.
