Mark Magsayo won his fight at super featherweight, 130 lbs, he beat Isaac Avaler via a vicious knockout.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BXfQiPR9v_A

Although there are still some loopholes in Magsayo here, as he was open for counter. But the good thing is that he can take the punch of Avaler because he has a solid chin. But he needs to cover his face at this division because it's going to be very difficult for him if he will face fighters in the top 10.

So this person just climbed to a new division after his back to back losses to Rey Vargas and Brandon Figueroa. Although Magsayo has a powerful punch, his fighting style does have many flaws. If he wants to become a champion once more, he needs to change those bad habits.

Anyhow, it is good that he returned to the ring and won once more. Perhaps a couple of more matches and he gets a championship match. The title holders are not stable except for Navarette. But Navarrette already in his third division tenure, is beginning to exhibit some weaknesses that could be taken advantage of.

But still Navarette is solid as this division and I do not see any advantage of Mark Magsayo over the rest of the champions here. Navarette's volume and output might be too much for Magsayo and he is very open to counter and for sure Navarette will find that opening in their fight.

Joseph Cordina is a tall dude, while O'Shaquie Foster is very technical and no offense to the fans of Magsayo as I'm also a fan of him, but Foster is going to make a killing out of him if this face each other.

That true because these two boxers definitely want big achievement in winning and showing that one of them deserves to be called true champion.
And of course Devin Haney will try as hard as possible to beat Regis Prograis so that the fight might reach the final round, only we will see Devin Haney holding the WBC Super Lightweight belt if the fight reaches the final round.
And the fight will take place tomorrow so we are just matter of no more than 24 hours away from seeing two fighters with various titles meet to fight for one belt.

Indeed both want something that could recognize them and will put them on top for sure Devin Haney wants a fighter that are at a level of success and he will not go fighting a fighter who could ruin his reputation and that is his undefeated status, while Regis Prograis wants a fighter on the top and this is for him to showcase his brilliant and technique in boxing and for sure Devin Haney is a qualified candidate that could surely showcase what he can truly do inside the ring, this fight is today at 09:00 PM ET on Tapology, for sure we can expect great action for this two warriors,
As I expected that Devin Haney would be able to win the fight and take the WBC Super Lightweight title from the hands of Regis Prograis, Haney won by unanimous decision from the referee decision 120-107, 120-107, and 120-107.
This is big achievement for Devin Haney because he managed to maintain the undefeated record he had so far and at the same time managed to add the WBC Super Lightweight title to the record of titles he has managed to control.
Watching their fight from the start, it was clear that Devin Haney dominated and Regis Prograis received lot of blows and even fell by knockdown in round four.
This is truly great fight.
congratulations for the win Devin Haney.

After this we will again watch the fight for the WBC Flyweight which will pit the champion Julio Cesar Martinez against the challenger Angelino Cordova in his seventh title defense.
On the main card of the WBC event this time it is truly fight that is more than just a title fight because Julio Cesar Martinez will actually defend the title that he has held and won so far.
This fight is scheduled for December 16.

What exactly are the bad habits do you see?
i see some of his weakness abut he got some power with both hands. I think if he could improve his stamina and more quickness in his combinations, he'll become a champion again. It's a good start for him, his ranking will easily improve due to his impressive win. Not sure what happen to his opponent now, hopefully he's okay but Magsayo did well here, very well.

Anyhow, it is good that he returned to the ring and won once more. Perhaps a couple of more matches and he gets a championship match. The title holders are not stable except for Navarette. In the Jr. lightweight division, we have four champions.
https://www.boxingscene.com/rankings
O'Shaquie Foster - WBC
Lamont Roach - WBA
Joseph Cordina - IBF
Emanuel Navarrete - WBO

he could fight one of them if he'll got a chance to be in the championship stage once again. However, I'd be happy to see him fight with Emanuel Navarrete as the latter is probably the most popular among the champions.

To all Filipino fans out here, just a heads up that Mark Magsayo will be fighting this weekend against Isaac Avelar of Mexico.

This will be a debut fight for Mark Magsayo on the 130-lbs division. As of now, no bookies have covered this fight but i think odds will be out two or one day before the fight as usual.

Got a feeling that Mark will be having a hard time in the super featherweight division because for me he is small for this weight category, just my thought but i want him to win as usual.

https://www.ringtv.com/661844-mark-magsayo-makes-junior-lightweight-debut-against-isaac-avelar-on-december-9/
But I guess he can't go back to 126-lbs no more, that's why he really need to go up at 130-lbs even if it's going to be hard for him at this weight class. And another interesting fight because it seems that his opponent could be a journey man already.

And as what we call it, a cherry pick fight for him or at least showcase his skills at this new division. And who knows, maybe he could be small here, but he will have to adapt and change his strategy as the now that he is in a new division.

Yeah, there's no way back as he needs to step up to push his career, we don't know what will be the fate awaits him but just like what you menetioned even if it's a cherry pick for him the chance still good to showcase his skills from there he may take some risky fight if he manage to win this one an create his path inside this new division that he's taking.

Weekends is nearly coming if you are a fan then better to save some spare coin/money for Magsayo's odd.

I don't know with you guys if you have bet for Magsayo but i'm very busy that i didn't find the time to browse for the odds, hope you did bet for him as Magsayo is back guys with that brutal left hook knock win over Avelar. That's one scary knockout to see if you are a family member of Avelar. But one thing is for sure, Magsayo power is still with him in the 130-pound division.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yCgtB8I8k1M

He still has that power even though we know that it's a cherry-pick from what I see, but a win is still a win for Magsayo and it seems that
In that way, he may gain interest from the promoters. I'll be looking forward to seeing more upcoming fight for him in this new journey on moving up to this division. Maybe if fans push for him and his camp will manage to negotiate, let's see what will happen next for

his career hoping he will earn more fights and also a win for his name.

Right, Magsayo looks huge and power at this new division, he still has the pop in this punch, but he just need to be very careful on who is his next fight because he might cross path with powerful punchers here. Although he has a good chin as been shown here, still though I wouldn't be confident. He should learn how to cover his face and not be countered.

He is just a bit lucky that this is a cherry-pick fight for him so obviously he has the advantage and as what we expected, he get the win and putting his opponent in the canvass. So this could really bost his confidence in the ring and hope that I'm wrong as this is just the way I see him fighting at 130 lbs so don't my word seriously specially for his fans here in the community.

So if Bivol gets Canelo's 2nd fight with PBC I wonder if Benavidez will ever get his shot at the real title. If Canelo somehow beats Bivol in the rematch, I expect him to take Crawford as his last fight of the contract and go back to Matchroom.

I think it's only fair that there should be a trilogy for their fight. Bivol could have declined a rematch with Canelo after beating him, but he agreed to it. Therefore, if Canelo is a true warrior, he should give Bivol a chance to determine the better fighter between them. This can only be settled through another rematch.

They both playing the mind games I guess, Bivol wanted a rematch but Canelo chooses John Ryder and let Bivol look for a dance partner with less money on the line. So Canelo paly his part very good in this games, now after beating Charlo and moving out of the Matchroom contract, Bivol is left hanging. And then we heard that if there will be a rematch, it will be in terms of Canelo again which including Bivol going down to 168 lbs and with rehydration clause.

As far as Benavidez goes, yeah, me might not get his title shot against Canelo as Alvarez is now looking for the biggest paycheck that he can get before retiring. So Benavidez could chase Morell or even Bivol or Beterbiev.

The big paychecks for Canelo would be Bivol on light heavyweight or Benavidez. These others that you have mentioned will not cause much excitement from the fans, I reckon.

However, the biggest might be for Canelo to accept Bivol's challenge and fight him in super middleweight where Canelo will risk all of his championship belts!

I think Canelo is still the cash cow no matter how we look at it, either a DB fight or Bivol it will still make a lot of money. But it's just the question on why he would do Bivol at 168 lbs and then when rehydration clause? Doesn't make sense as he is the champion in that division unless he wanted to have that big advantage against Bivol. We might call it just to make it an even field for him.

But if he wanted to be really cemented his legacy, for me a rematch at 175 lbs will be the way for him. Not unless if he longer wanted more belt or if he thinks that he can't really beat Bivol at light heavyweight that's why he wanted the rematch as his best, 168 lbs wherein he is the undisputed.

Canelo is now a cherry picker he claims to be the king so he gets to decide who he will fight, except for Bivol all the fights he has after Bivol are cherry picked fights Charlo, Ryder and Golovkin Bivol and Benavidez is not in his list he wants to enjoy his reign while making a lot of money.
He wants the easy way to his legacy, I will not be surprised if he retires without fighting Bivol or Benavidez.

I'd like to believe that Canelo is fading because he picks his opponent and doesn't want to face fighters like Bivol, Benavidez is going to be a very big challenge for him but unlike Pacquiao, he is ducking fighters who can beat him.

Canelo is hanging on his position, he wouldn't want to lose the belt and fame instantly. It's normal today to see champs doing all these that's why there's less unification to see as they are all hanging on to their belts but I think it's not just him who decides this, the organization takes part since they are also going to take cuts of the money.

Fury vs Usyk unification is very bold. I guess Fury took the fun first of having a training against Ngannou for he knows fighting against Usyk could be his last fight. But at least he got loads of money.

For sure this is the real target of Devin Haney and Regis Prograis is something that he needed to defeat I was really excited when I watched both fighter's past fights and for sure it is really interesting as we could see the defense of Devin Haney for sure and how will Regis Prograis could penetrate it, and it, and who is the most faster fighter,

I look at it as a money making fight  if ever Canelo  manage to regain his name, a trilogy might happen as promoters will push for it to gain  more money,  though  the post above might also take place as Canelo's camps always have alternative options,  but as a warrior might be better to take that last shot against bivol  to conclude everything between them.

For now, let's wait for the fight and see who's among the two will win the rematch.  The next discussion will take place after the fight.

If Bivol wins this at 168 then he got his dream but if Canelo dismantle Bivol at 168 with that rehydration clause, most of won't mind him winning the fight as this is not what a true warrior in the ring wants.

For sure Canelo will deflect all criticism and says that he still took his revenge win against Bivol. And Bivol can go back to his 175 lbs and maybe fight the other Russian champion and then Canelo continuing his legacy at super middleweight. So for Bivol it could still be a win win situation for him.

Canelo surprised everyone because nobody thought he would pursue a Bivol rematch when he signed a 3-fight deal with PBC. People were expecting Canelo to face PBC fighters especially Jermall Charlo and David Benavidez. Now he's got only 2 fights left and so far there's no update on him taking Benavidez. Jermall Charlo refused the offer before but now that he made a tune-up maybe he should go back to a negotiation deal unless he no longer wants that big payday from Canelo.

So if Bivol gets Canelo's 2nd fight with PBC I wonder if Benavidez will ever get his shot at the real title. If Canelo somehow beats Bivol in the rematch, I expect him to take Crawford as his last fight of the contract and go back to Matchroom.

Have read that there is a rumor that has it, Canelo will be fighting Bivol in a rematch this May and it will be held in the 168-pound division. But the catch here is neither boxer would reach the 178 lbs come fight night, for me this is the same as the rehydration clause that Team Canelo is master of doing on their opponents.

What's your though on this guys, do Bivol would take the bait?

When was this rumor surfaces though? Because I remember Canelo interview before the John Ryder fight is that his goal is to fight Bivol or to rematch him at 175 lbs. So I guess that decision has change already if this latest rumor is true.

It's really up to Bivol to take the bait or not. I thought Bivol will have a fight this coming December.

Maybe this is just a get busy fight for him until he gets into Canelo or even Beterbiev. But if Canelo is chasing greatness then it should be at Light-HW because that is where they first fought. If it is 168 lbs then that is obviously Canelo's territory.

Canelo will not win if it fight is on the 175 pound division, at least for and most of the users here that is why they are giving this bait to Bivol as the latter also has an ambition to be a unified champion either at 175 or 168 so probably he would take this fight.

Yes, and it's probably his limit as well, 175 lbs is too big for him, at least his body might have a difficult time at that weight class. He might also be losing his power at that obviously it was shown in their first fight that it is a different territory for Canelo and that's why there are no immediate rematch.

It's really a bait from Canelo here, or you can call it a bluff, just like in poker. Canelo knows that he has the strong hands here, fighting at his division, and then with that rehydration clause to make sure the Bivol won't go at high as a cruiserweight because Canelo will have a problem with a bigger but faster opponent like Bivol.

On the other hand, Bivol is looking on his version of legacy, wanted to beat Canelo as his strongest weight take all that belt. So for me, Bivol will take this bait easy, without any concern whatsoever at 168 lbs and he believed he can make it.
