^^ I'm also not aware that David Benavidez is injured in his fight against Oleksandr Gvozdyk and it's obvious that his performance has affected us because we are not that impressed on him and even says that he looks regular at 175 lbs.

But what if he is not injured, can he really score a knockout or shows as a good performance? It's done already, we can't comment on that, but it seems that there goal right now is to fight in 175 lbs and wait for the winner of Bivol vs Beterbiev.

Hopefully a healthy Benavidez won't upset the fans once he face real champ in this division, we've seen Bivol and Beterbiev fought they both heavy punchers and in terms of speed they've got that reached where they can really create that combo which can bring down opponent, though boxing always bring surprises and upset who knows what will be the fate of him (Benavidez) once he fight whoever wins or whoever camps that will negotiate and sign contract against him.

Oh yes, it will be a real fight either one of them will be a big challenge for Benavidez, regardless of his injury against Gvozdyk, we should give the big guy a big tap on his shoulder as he give everything against David, and he almost pull a upset. But I guess Benavidez with his injured hands try to fight that out and thinking that he needs to win this one to open doors to challenge the winner of Bivol vs Beterbiev.

And it's just one month before the Bivol vs Beterbiev, and it's undercard fight, so for sure everyone is very excited for this event. LHW is going to be lit because Berlanga has also plans to move up in weight as he is also a big guy and can't stay at 168 lbs for long.

We have a good interview on Jose Benavidez Sr, David's father,

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eJyVH5uv978

And then we commented on David having a poor performance on his last fight at 175 lbs against Oleksandr Gvozdyk. He was not able to knockout Gvozdyk, but Sr says that David had injured both of his hands in that fight.

They are still hoping though that Canelo is going to give them a shot after his fight with Berlanga.

Good news for boxing fans, WBO orders Terence Crawford to face Sebastian Fundora.

Quote
The World Boxing Organization on Wednesday ordered World Boxing Association belt holder Crawford (41-0, 31 KOs) to meet Fundora (21-1-1, 13 KOs), declaring that the sides have 30 days to strike an agreement or the bout will be sent to purse bid.

And with that we will see the WBO having just one champion at the end of the day as Crawford holds the interim belt, while Fundora is the full champ having beaten Tim Tszyu in a bloody fight.

So it's good to see that at least boxing organization are forcing their champion/s to fight each other. And after much talk of a Canelo Alvarez vs Bud Crawford, I don't think that is it going to happen. Crawford might be busy unifying the super welterweight division and there are a lot of great fighters too at 154 lbs right now.

Sooner or later, this organisations will have to enforce their own rules so in this case, it's really a good fight so why delayed it? And whoever wins in the bid, for sure will be happy to set up the fight because it could be one of the best in this super welterweight.

Who do you think will be the favorite going into this fight?

Crawford, regardless of the advantage of Fundora in terms of his height and reach and how he wins the belt, oddmakers might take that into account but we all know that Crawford hasn't lost and plus his skills makes him the favorite, in my opinion.

Of course, when we see 2 great boxers it will always be good for the boxing fans. And I think this is to be anticipated, both are champions but there should only be one standing champion and so they will have to fight this one out. I think it will be Crawford who is going to be the favorite here, nevertheless, it will be a challenge for Bud to see how he is going to adjust with the height and length advantage of Fundora. We have seen Tim struggled and then lost his belt against Sebastian. But we all know how tactical boxer is Bud is. So maybe he will figure it out along the fight and then readjust as necessary. As for fighting Canelo, it's hard seeing Bud at 168 lbs and then maintain his power or his quickness and it will be a mismatch. Although it's going to be a career payday for him but most likely he will take it maybe as his last fight before retiring.

Floyd Mayweather fired the referee in the middle of his boxing match tonight. He hit his opponent with a hook that the ref said landed on the back of his opponent’s head. It was a bad call and Floyd started complaining immediately and within a minute or two they had a new ref stepping in to finish the fight. Amazing…
That's how influential Floyd is, but since it’s just an exhibition fight, so we know who would win and that he could dictate the outcome. It’s amazing that Floyd doesn't want to lose, even after retirement, but I don't understand why people still watch his exhibition fights when he has shown he change the rules on his favor, still a cheater even after his pro.
Floyd Mayweather is world boxing champion and has record of 50 undefeated fights and he has power in exhibition fights, it is natural that Floyd can do anything to achieve victory even in the change of referees.
But this is ridiculous, fight like this is only for the benefit of getting satisfaction and some money so there is nothing interesting that we can really get, maybe some people still consider this fight as one of the entertainment events.
Previously they fought and ended in big fight or chaos because of mocking each other, and now they meet again because of Floyd desire for rematch.
But after everything is over we can see that Floyd seems quite happy with the results that he even said thank because Gotti wanted to do it for the second time.

Interesting case and controversy to it, indeed Grin It happens sometimes..

No, as what others pointed out, this could be the first time we heard this controversy, or a boxer requested that a referee be fired in the middle of the fight and then replaced.

But the thing is that there are sports personalities that back him up, like Joe Rogan, Joe Rogan backs Floyd Mayweather firing referee during John Gotti III rematch: "He's 100% correct".

Quote
"The first referee was terrible, and the referee called Floyd—said Floyd Mayweather hit him [John Gotti III] behind the head. Absolutely incorrect call. Floyd threw a right hand and it caught him on the side of the head and the referee claimed that it was behind the head. So, Floyd fired the referee in the middle of the bout. He stops the bout and he's like, 'Get the f*** out of here. Get out of here.'"

He is not even in his best shape and sure the age is showing already even from the great Floyd Mayweather. But yeah, he can do anything but this could be the first time that we have seen this kind of request in the middle of the fight to change the referee because the boxers doesn't want his decision.

And it just shows that Floyd has the control of the fight and the promotion itself that's why he can do that. But we will still have to remember that this is just a exhibition fight and most likely there is no governing boxing body who facilitates this one.

I agree with your all points but we still have too many around us those love to watch cheaters while they are having their strong influence and never want to lose this exhibition match ended in draw as organizers feeling ok because they never want again another widespread riots across the stadium as we have in last summer during these fighters match.

Last time we have this fight in Miami but now this time we have this in Mexico where things were well-balanced for the boxers Floyd Mayweather is having a long tour around the globe for his exhibitions games which will create good entertainment for his fans.

And that's only in Floyd's fight, LOL. But yeah, I'm not siding with anyone, but it was a hook that Floyd throws and unfortunately it hit Gotti on the side of the head and then the controversy started and I thought that there will be another brawl between the two camps.

Although it was reported that the referee also deducted a point when he officiates the Tommy Fury and Jake Paul fight.

And since this fight is in Mexico, legendary Julio Cezar Chaver Sr was there to see the fight but Floyd said that he will not fight Sr because he is too old and it will not be good on him fighting the old man.

But I guess there is no hostage of the belt by Crawford although he still holds the next 3 belts. However, with this move, I do not think that Crawford will stay at 147 lbs.

Yeah, Terrence Crawford will be moving up on his next fight against Vergil Ortiz, at least that is what his excellency Turki Alalshikh had promised that he will make this fight happen. With his years numbered, i do think that Crawford will take this one even though he will be the slight underdog as Ortiz is comfortable fighting in the 154lbs division.

It appears that the dreams of Errol Spence of being a champion in the super welterweight division will be broken if Bud Crawford will unify this weight division and become the king of super welterweight hehehehe.

In any case, I wish Bud Crawford will not yet leave welterweight because there is a boxer there that many fans would like to witness who is the real king. This boxer is Boots Ennis. He has a chance to win against Bud, I reckon.

He can still win belt at super welterweight, but if we talk unification, he might have to face Bud Crawford again. The thing though is that Bud didn't look impressive at his first fight at 154 lbs and we say that old age might have been knocking on him.

It seems  that Bud will still at super welterweight now, no way he will go down to 147 lbs as there are no money fights. At this point in time, he could be like Canelo, looking for the biggest payday in his every fight moving forward before they retire.

It might also be because Bud did not very much need to perform on a high level because of the opponent or he might need more tune up fights to adjust on this new weight division. We can be very much certain his next fights in super welterweight will be very good hehehe. I reckon it might be better viewing for the fans if Errol Spence also gets a championship with Bud and repeat the same storyline which occurred on welterweight hehehehe.

Are you saying that Bud didn't train or took Bohachuk very lightly? If that is the case, then that is bad for him to have that kind of mentality to overestimate an opponent specially he is going up in weight here.

So let's see who will be his next fight, this division is laden with talents, so again, every fight here, he should be training with 100% focus otherwise, he might suffer his first loss and then his stock going down because of that.

I do think that Boots Ennis and Errol Spence will not be meeting Crawford inside the ring at this stage of the latter's career, i mean Crawford is picking money fights as his fights as a professional boxer is numbered due to age factor. There is a great possibility that Crawford will be facing Ortiz next at super welterweight division in Saudi Arabia.
