I believe that bitcoin will still conquer the cryptocurrency world in the following years. There is no altcoins even Ethereum that can beat bitcoin. I believe that many people will keep patronizing bitcoin.

Bitcoin or Ethereum, Which of these coins will rule in 2018?
Well its hard to says which coin will rule and dominate 2018 they both starting to rise . Ethereum has advantage and benefits over Bitcoin the same as Bitcoin also has advantage and benefits over Ethereum . It is hard to decide . But if i am going for short term investment i am going for Ethereum because of it is more stable than Bitcoin and for long term i am going for Bitcoin because in the future it will reach a unexpected value.

the bitcoin price now is still expensive compare in the ethereum it has a big difference if you compare these two.and i think because the bitcoin is expensive it will only few supply if you compare to the ethereum it's almost a hundred thousand but if i were choose over these two i prefer bitcoin over the ethereum because it has an faster transaction compare to all and it has many advantage among the all other coinsif we want to compare from the price side, yeah everyone will say bitcoin still on the top.
but if we look from the technology, I still prefer to ethereum who have a popular and secure protocol.
and I optimistic if ETH will go to HIGH on this years.

I choose both options since I believe that they will bring me the greatest benefit in 2018 than anything else
the beginning of 2018 is both bitcoin nor ethereum made quite afraid because the prices are falling so far, but as late as 2018 later I think both these coins will start growing nice and will progressively rise rapidly.

50/50 take each one, BTC it's first of coins, ETH first of altcoins.
The two coins will be more and more popular in 2018. in relation to market prices. Bitcoin will stay in the top one. The appearance of NEO will be a competitor For Ethereum this year. But I still believe in two coins that is King of the Crypto World is BITCOIN and King of Altcoin Namely ETHEREUM.
I predict that the ether will grow to bitcoin and the ETH will be more volatile than bitcoin.

dont you get tired asking this same question?for maybe thousand times comparing this two great coins while its pretty obvious that bitcoin will always be the right answer?ethereum is one of the great coin thats has been in my portfolio for such a long,but i cant choose him over bitcoin because the reason is obvious..the first coin will make us richer before the second 
I think Ethereum will pass on Bitcoin in 2018. I think Ethereum will do a lot of things this year. The future of Ethereum is absolutely brilliant!

Both are good and increase but keep in mind that bitcoin is much more expensive than ethereum. Personally, I think I'm going for ethereum, it's the best time to invest in this. 
The idea about ethereum that makes it more hopeful though it is a decentralized currency, yet the coin has a right control of the price value. The value pump is controlled and not bloated. Ethereum blockchain idea for other tokens makes it rarely indispensable.
Ethereum is substantially the big protagonist of this year, i wouldn't be surprised if it will overcome bitcoin market cap until the end of 2018. It's used for 98% of ICOs nowaday. NEO is still a good competitor. Hope in the next future more platform will be ready and delivering.
As I think 2018 is the year of ETH. It's not only my oppinion.

2018 is the year of both Ethereum and bitcoin. Ethereum has great prospects for growth with the release of Plasma. And bitcoin with LN. Both coins should be kept in your briefcase.
In my opinion btc is btc,even after few years but ethereum is very strong and will grow till 2k$ for sure but I see also another good coin like eth-its eos with is more faster and keep the best what have eth,this year may be year of eth but not for long term
In my opinion both of them are good invesment in 2018. Nowdays ETH and BTC price is low and under 10.000USD and 1000 USD. So for longterm investment both of them can be bought
Early this year we have seen how etherium showed sudden increase in price. Though it shows also sudden declination this time we are still on high expectation that it will once again hit the market once issues were already fixed. Hopefully we would see etherium at least 5,000$ mark before the year end. I been holding etherium for a long time and luckily, Ive already gain good amount profit from my investment. During this season I also take the opportunity to buy more etherium.
On the other hand, bitcoin would still be the king and were expecting that it will actually reach the 50,000$ mark within the year. There is ni denying that most coin shares the same track bitcoin, once it drop, alts also drop. Lets hope that the demand will continue to increase, after all it has already gain the demand it has needed.
Answering the question or reaching a certain thouht is almost hard here. The conditions are very dynamic and it's not easy to figure out which one will be better in 2018, bitcoin or ethereum.

in my opinion both have the same potential, if you only have a little capital then buy ethereum but if you have big capital you have to buy btc to make your money becomes moreEach holds its own, id say just like just like this gentleman, only difference is keep in mind BTC potential to tank even at its current price. so i say be more ETH dominant and play around with BTC since its so damn volatile.
