Bitshares recently pulled up 50% of this wave. This is a value coin worth every time you meet the general market crash.

Which one should I use for making a cold wallet on an offline computer?

For the paper wallet you can go to the top right corner > settings > backup > create brainkey backup. With the brainkey and your acc. name you can restore the wallet without a file.
.

I asked about http://paperwallet.bitshares.eu/ and http://docs.bitshares.org/bitshares/user/security-cold.html
There is no top right corner.

I want to make an offline wallet!

The safest approach is to run your own full node. Otherwise, when using web wallet(s), your private keys are "installed" in the browser, and it can't be considered as offline anymore, even if you store the key(s) offline. It's clearly stated in the docs page above.

Note that this approach should not be considered cold as the private keys has been installed in the browser first.

I want to make an offline wallet!

Offline wallet stores your keys not on a computer, you can store the .bin file offline, which contains the brainkey encrypted or print the brainkey on a paper.
You need a local wallet and the BTS client, which has on the top right corner (three blue bars) the "settings" entry.

Do you know what an offline wallet is? An offline wallet is a normal wallet installed on a computer without internet connection. If I the latest official GUI release on an offline computer, I can not make a wallet. It seems, it needs to connect to the blockchain. So I have asked which one is the official one (http://paperwallet.bitshares.eu/ or http://docs.bitshares.org/bitshares/user/security-cold.html).

Good afternoon. Personally, I don't understand why the world needs one more crypto. Does it have any features or advantages to compete with other cryptocurrencies out there? I'm afraid, decentralization is not really a thing.

What do you mean? BTS was one of the first Alts, which started in 2014.

Just trying this..
COuldn`t find "backup" button..
Did you mean:  Local wallet required
In order to restore a backup you will need to switch to a local wallet first, do so by clicking the button below:
Should I do this?
I only use the local wallet, because it is the safest way to store your BTS.

Generally speaking, all decentralized businesses will have the same problems. No matter how hard the technology is, it can't escape 3 problems. The depth of the transaction is not enough, the lack of small currencies and the lack of access.

Do I have to update the accounts permissions once I made the cold wallet or do I just transfer my BTS from exchange to my Account Name?

Hi,

I bought some BTS at Huobi and wanted to transfer them into a local wallet.
It seems, that there is no "ordinary" wallet for BTS, correct?

Can you please explain me, where I should store my BTS?

Thanks in advance!

The natural place where store the coins safe, is the dex exchange, because when you open an account you own your private keys, you can go to https://bitshares.org/ and download the local dex software or open the account on-line, the result is the same.

The issue is, that i have no idea how to do it...sorry.
Is there any explanation, how to withdraw my BTS from huobi to  Bitshares?

Like any other crypto coin when you make an account you have an address to send your bts paying some fee. can't help with the part on huobi, as i don't know that exchange. But i think that there is a withdraw function, where it ask for your bts address, that (in particular for this kind of coin) is the name you register when you open the account on bitshare.

Bitshares has been very steady recently, which is due to the new market value management system.
