It can be used to alleviate poverty to some extent, just like the other assets. For example, if someone donates all his gold to the poor people, then at least some of them will use that gold to get out of poverty. Same with Bitcoin as well. If some Bitcoin billionaire donates all his coins to the poor, then a lot of people could be rescued out of poverty. But it is never practical. In most of the cases the poor are going to use these free handouts to purchase alcohol and drugs.

Bitcoin is providing a good opportunity to the users and thus we can say that it is trying to reduce the unemployment by providing the jobs from here. Bitcoin is ending world poverty but at a very less rate because the most of the poor people are uneducated and they are nothing doing in the bitcoin to earn something.

I think yes because bitcoin has great oppurtunity to us and from poverty is the biggest problem in the world but its nice to have this oppurtunity because its better to end our poverty, bitcoin are the first influencial because its good and great job, bitcoin are more helping people in to the other members of this.

Bitcoin cannot and will never end world poverty. Who are those in the poverty lines? Those who have no assets, no smartphones, no computer, and even cant afford to go college. The governments are the sole responsible to end world poverty and not bitcoin.

no its not,and dont let bitcoin bring this burden while this is a government obligation..and besides this is the basis how to rate a country,poverty declares how great every country is depend to their poverty rates.bitcoin just helping every countries to lessen this problem and that would be credit to the cryptocurrencies.

Bitcoin is only a currency but giving a chance every individual to create a new life,and make all things possible if they will only do their part,and do it more better and functional.

As for me we are not depending bitcoin to solve worlds poverty, it can really help our needs but not the entire worlds poverty, how could it be that many of us are lack of knowledge and not educated to go this through, some are poor because of laziness, overpopulated, and of course corruption of government, we only our selves will persevere to solve our each adversity.

I think I agree that bitcoin can't solve it many country has always have a problem with poverty even my country have it, I started bitcoin almost 4 months and I don't received yet my payment for my participating their campaign, I mean that's how it looks like bitcoin can't make it even he was 9 years of existing and that thing can possibly help people if they can understand bitcoin.

I disagree with that, we all know that bitcoin have a big contibution in the world but it doesn't mean that it will end the world poverty. Otherwise, I think that it only reduces the poverty in the world because of the opportunities that people find in bitcoin. Example ; people who don't have jobs, because of bitcoin it reduces the unmployment which is the one that can cause poverty.

I don't think so. Bitcoin is just a cryptocurrency and even when it gets legalized all over the world, we cannot guarantee still that everyone will use it as an instrument to escape poverty. The one that must make way or make solution to end world poverty is the government and all of us. The changes start within ourselves and if the government will stay corrupt, poverty will never be gone.

Good article for bitcoin lovers, but I didn't actually saw some great arguments. Guy talks about his optimistic vision, and I agree with many things said in article but for ending poverty in the world we will need more then just bitcoins and blockchain. Blockchain can help in many ways, but we people need to use it in a right way, so ending world poverty depends solely from people, bitcoin like everything else can be just a tool, one of the tools that can help us in that.
