All of the following could help, though if it's been an issue for months you should see a doctor:
1. Exercise in the morning or early afternoon (but not evening)
2. Cut off stimulants early in the day (my cut-off is 3pm for a 1am bed-time)
3. Stop drinking alcohol
4. Keep your room cold at night if possible-- this stimulates sleep
5. Meditate prior to going to bed.

When I can't sleep, I always try to close my eyes and imagine I'm on a rollercoaster, so I feel my head up and down. This works for me. You may try it  Cool

Start doing some exercises during the day, man. Walk and breathe fresh air. That might help a little bit.

too much blue light late at night (reading a novel on a tablet computer or e-reader at bedtime, for example) can disrupt this cycle, potentially causing sleepless nights and daytime fatigue.

Excessive lights make me hard to sleep, for that I will try to reduce the light on the light by turning off some lights to appear more dim to darken my eyes.

When you can't sleep you should make noise around yourself to block different useless thoughs. I am usually turning music in my phones.

Your body clock has adjusted. You need to try to sleep in regular hours to get it back to normal. Make yourself tired before sleeping, or drink minimal alcohol. I've been there and the best way is to consult a doctor.

If you can't sleep, I suggest taking a supplement called "Melatonin" which is naturally produced by our body. By taking this 30mins before you sleep at night, you will have an easier time falling asleep. Further to this, you should also avoid using your mobile devices or anything that will expose you to bright light before you go to sleep.

You wear yourself out during the day. Drink milk or a melatonin supplement and meditate or read a good book.

Zinc magnesium or potassium magnesium pills before bed can help a lot, but I would only use them on a particularly bad night so you don't get dependent on them.

Tips for falling asleep
Carve out at least 30 minutes of wind-down time before bed in which you do something relaxing, such as read a book. Dim the lights in the house slightly for an hour or so before bed.
Disconnect from close-range electronic devices such as laptops, phones, and tablets, as the light from their screens can alert the brain and make it harder to fall asleep.
In order to calm your mind, do a breathing or relaxation exercise.
If you get into bed and cannot fall asleep after 20 minutes, get up and return to another space in the house to do a relaxing activity, such as reading or listening to music. Lying in bed awake can create an unhealthy link between your sleeping environment and wakefulness. Instead, you want your bed to conjure sleepy thoughts and feelings only.
Wake up at the same time every day. Even if you have a hard time falling asleep and feel tired in the morning, try to get up at the same time (weekends included). This can help adjust your body's clock and aid in falling asleep at night.
