Just try not to think about anthing, empty your mind, close your eyes and watch the darkness and all that circles and figures that appear in that darkness. Then those figures will become parts of a dream. If it won't help, go see a good doctor but try to avoid pills.

If you can't sleep, you can try to do many exercises, it will make you very tired and then I think you can sleep right now.

my work always get night shift, after I get out of work I have problems can not sleep even ever samapai three days, my body is always not fit, feels weak every activity. my way overcome: multiply drink water and fresh milk, exercise routine every morning, eat fresh vegetables and fruits to get vitamin intake

I'm fighting against insomnia. It had beggining for a year ago.
To be honest, the only one thing helping me are meds. But please don't try to put in anything without doctor's permission!
Also such advices can help:
1. Reading bookds before sleeping. This is individual but usually books calm down.
2. Put all gadgets away. Idk there were some kinds of researches about the connection between them and  the quality of sleep
3. Don't take a nap in a daytime! Really it begins very hard to fall asleep in the evening then
4. Some warm bath or shower

maybe every one must have felt the same when it's hard to try to sleep but it's not something that must be a burden in our life, and now there are many ways that can be taken in a very short time to eliminate it but it is not concrete steps to take, I think it will all be back as before

I work outside everyday and one of the things I try to do is wear myself out.  The other things will sound funny and or wierd but they work for me.  I cannot sleep unless I brush my teeth,  The bed has to be made before hand, I have to sleep in the middle of the bed and I have several things I think about as I lay down.  Sorta like a happy place.  The bed being made and sleeping in the middle comes from many years of travel and staying in hotels.  I am asleep in five minutes every night as a result of this ritual.
