I am just amazed seeing Nigerian local board and Russian competing I guess is not what I am thinking because with due time I am sure we would definitely take over them. @Rikafip I really appreciate your work for putting us always updated here at least to know the activities and the activeness of every local board.

The results of the Nigerian board are pretty remarkable.
Even more remarkable, you were successful as a community without a proper board until recently.
Well done.
Kudos also to the local merit sources, who are doing good work.

Jokes apart, the drop in local boards is quite noticeable. I am always puzzled by how the summer months in the northern hemisphere do impact the forum activity.
Of course, Spanish, Italian, and maybe French local boards can be impacted, but the others... where is everyone?

Please put it in this perspective: you have ONE whole week before next @DdmrDdmr next Friday puts you again on the slacking campus!
No more slacking. I solemnly swear!

but the others... where is everyone?
Probably spending their hard earn money in the countries you just mentioned.  I hope they are spending some of that money in Croatia too as imho we are a top destination (albeit we are now pricey too). Grin

I am perosnally sick of heat and majority of my next summer holidays I plan to spend somewhere north.

Great work, as usual. You barely managed to slack until the last day of the month!

Time for yet another brief monthly overview of the local boards activity, this time later than ever as I've been traveling a lot this month (and slacking at the beginning) and just came back home yesterday. As always, all charts and table are made using data from @DdmrDdmr Merit Dashboard and @TryNinja Ninjastic.space.

Communities marked with * (Pakistan, Bangladesh) unfortunately don't have their own local boards but that's something I hope will change in the near future as I strongly belive that at least one of them (if not both) should get their own local.

Post activity per local board during July 2024

During the above mentioned period, 13009 posts were made across 18 local boards that are part of this overview, which is a slight decrease compared to month before (June, 14230). As always, activity during summer months ain't great so this decrease was expected and it will probably continue for at least 1 month more, if not more.

When it comes to most active local boards, Russian remained by far the most active one, followed by Nigeria and Indonesia and in top 5 are Turkish and German local board. No change at the bottom either, with the standard names performing as usual.

Local boards post race

Courtesy of bitmover

Active members per local board during July 2024

During the last month, 1342 members wrote at least 1 post which is a surprising increase compared with June's numbers (1287) as post number decreased. The fact that among active members I count all those who write even a single post probably caused this "anomaly".

Once again Russians board tops the chart, followed by Nigeria, Indonesia, Germany and Turkey and pretty much usual local boards are at the bottom of the chart as well.

Local board members per amount of posts during July 2024

When it comes to the members who wrote only 1 post, Romanian local is the leader with 67% of such members, followed by Italian (61%) and Indian (60%) local boards. At the same time, Pakistan had the lowest percentage of those members (only 10%), followed by Indonesian (14%) and Nigerian (18%) local boards.

In the 2-9 posts bracket, leader is Bengali local with 56% of those members, followed by Nigerian and Arabic local boards that both that 55% of such members. When it comes to lowest percentage, Romanian is the leader with 25%, followed  by Portuguese (27%) and Indian (33%) local boards.

Regarding the 10+ posts bracket, Pakistan is the leader by having 53% of those members, followed by Portuguese and Indonesian local boards that both had 38% of such members. At the same time, Romanian had the lowest percenttage (only 8%), followed by Polish (12%) and Arabic (14%) local boards.

Merit shared per local board during July 2024

During the last month only 5250 merit was sent across local boards, which is a noticeable drop comapred to June (5919) and is continuation of the trend. Almost all local boards had the drop of merit shared, and some like Spanish and turkish more than the others while some rare ones like Portuguese managed to increase it.

Merit/Post ratio per local board during July 2024

Last month's average acorss all local boards that are part of this overview was 0.48 merit per post which is a drop compared to month before (June, 0.53). In the previous overview Romanian board was sticking out with their ratio and this time its Spanish board with a very high 1.55 merit/post while their 12 month average is far from bad as well, meaning they are consitently high on the ratio. Behind them are Romanian and Arabic boards that are almost always among the top 3 in this chart.

At the same time, we once again have Greek board at the bottom (which is not a surprise considering their low activity, but Pilipinas board is among the more active ones and imho should be high, among sosme other active boards like French.

Percentage of merited posts across local boards during July 2024

While Romanian board was last month's leader when it comes to percentage of merited post (70%), they regain their title but this time with a more reasonable percnetage, followed by once again Spanish local board while this time Italian local took the 3rd spot from Arabic.

When it comes to those with lowest percentage, its no surprise that are pretty much the same names as in merit/post chart.

Merit senders and receivers per local board during July 2024

During last month 430 members that were active in local boards sent merit while 513 received which is an expected drop compared to June's numbers (456 senders, 572 receivers). Regarding the numbers, Nigerian and Indonesian local board once again beat Russian, even though they have significantly lower number of merit shared and several others are performing well int his metric like Pilipinas or Turkish (relative to their number of merit shared).

Merit per transaction across local boards during July 2024

And the last in this series of charts, merit per transaction. While Greek local was the leader in the previous chart, this time they are last but Polish local is not far either. When it comes to locals with the highest merit per transaction, no surprise that top 2 positions are occupied by locals who usually have a very high merit per post ratio, while its surprise to see Russian, french and Turkish so high given their relatively low merit per post ratio.

The most active members per local board during July 2024

Last but not the least in this overview, list of top 10 members across 18 local boards/threads and thanks to whom their local boards are still alive. When it comes to the most active members, Nuburian from Russian board with 260 posts is the leader, followed by joker_josue from Portuguese board who wrote 209 posts and one more member from Rusisan board, jokers10, who wrote 169 posts. Keep it up guys!

Congratulations on taking over the first place in June and killing two birds with one stone, our old local kings SirJohnVonSlotty and Slackovic are totally defeated.
Thanks! I think this was the first time ever that I was at the top, but not so much because I was so active but more because others like SirJohnVonSlotty and our main spammer Slackovic were slacking. But in the end, win is a win. Let's see how it goes this month.  Wink

It was a short rule of king SirJohnVeganSlotty and I blame everything on his new work position or he is having parties in Dubai again  Tongue
I've been to one of those crazy Dubai penthouse parties few years ago and if that's why he is slacking, then its all forgiven.  Grin

I know for sure July and August are difficult months for the Italian board, and I suspect the same is also for the Spanish, Greek  or even Croatian.
Well, for know you are doing pretty good as you are one of the few (might even be the only local board) who didn't experience activity drop so hopefully it continue like that throughout the summer.

Not all the users are the same as yours truly, who write posts while laying on the beach…
Indeed not, and I have to say that I am one of the lucky ones as well.  Wink

But I'm even happier for the fact that it was the entire Portuguese community that helped, by being more active.
Yeah, it can't be done without other members of your local board being active as well as you can't really talk to yourself.  Grin

Merit per transaction across local boards during June 2024

An average merit per tx across local boards during June was 1.83 which is a surprising increase compared to month before average (1.78). The thing that I find interesting is that this time local boards that were nowhere near close to the top when it comes to merit/post ratio are at the top here as usually its the opposite and somehow more logical (at least to me).

The most active members per local board during June 2024

Last but not the least in last month's overview, list of the most active members across 18 local boards/threads.

After few months being out of the top 3, this time we have joker_josue from Portuguese local board back at the top with 200 posts, followed by two members from Turkish local board at 2nd and 3rd spot,
totti67 with 186 posts and mandown with 185 posts. Congrats guys, kepe it up!

I'm glad it was worth the effort to get back to the top.  Tongue

But I'm even happier for the fact that it was the entire Portuguese community that helped, by being more active. It even activates with merits.

Congratulations to the entire Portuguese board!

Excellent work as usual, @Rikafip.
As soon I will have a second I integrate your graph in my board overview.

Chart lovers rejoice, time for yet another brief monthly overview!  Cheesy All charts and table are made with the help of @DdmrDdmr Merit Dashboard and @TryNinja Ninjastic.space.

Communities marked with * (Pakistan, Bengali) don't have their own local boards yet but I hope that's something that will change in the near future.

Post activity per local board during June 2024

During the last month 14230 posts were written across 18 local boards that are part of this overview, which is a noticeable drop compared to May 2024 numbers (16597 posts). Since summer came and people have beter things to do, this drop was kinda expected and imho nothing to worry about.

Among the local boards, Russian remained by far the most active one, folloed by Turkish and Nigerian who both had a considerably fewer posts, while Indonesian and German close the top 5. Regarding the bottom 5, we see more or less the standard names while its worth the mention that the only local board who had increase compared to the month before was Italian (not by much, but better any increase than decrease).

Local boards post race

Courtesy of bitmover

Active members per local board during June 2024

During June 1287 members wrote at least 1 post on one of the local boards which is expected decrease compared to May during which 1356 members were active. While top 7 and bottom 5 remained almost the same, this decrease of active members has been spread across almost all local boards more or less evenly which indicates similar forum habits.

Local board members per amount of posts during June 2024

When it comes to the members who wrote only 1 post, Romanian local board is the leader with 67% of such members, followed by Indian (55%) and French&Spanish local boards that both had 43% of those members. In the same bracket, Croatian had only 11% of those members, followed by Indonesian (14%) and Nigerian (16%) local boards.

In 2-9 posts bracket, Russian and Indonesian boards are leaders with 53% of such members, followed by Croatian local board with 50%. At the same time, Pakistan had only 14% of such members, followed by Spanish (23%) and Portuguese (24%) local boards.

Regarding the 10+ posts bracket, Pakistan is the clear leader with 55% of those members, followed by Portuguese (45%) and Italian (40%) local boards. When it comes to local boards with fewest percentage of such members, Polsih is the leader with only 8%, followed by Romanian (11%) and Indian (13%) local boards.

Merit shared per local board during June 2024

In the above mentioned period 5919 merits was shared across local boards that are part of this overview which is a big drop compared to month before during which 8364 merit was shared. This drop has been shared across almost all local boards, with Italian board being the only one among the more active ones that managed to share more merit than month before.

It is also important to mention that month before (May 2024) we had a big increase compared to April 2024 (~30%) so this drop means that more or less we went back to those numbers so situation is not as bad as it seemed at first.

Merit/Post ratio per local board during June 2024

An average merit/post ratio for all local boards that are part of this overview during June was 0.53 which is a lot lower than during month before (0.69) which was expected considering the decreased amount of merit shared.

What didn't change though is the name at the top, meaning Romanian board being far ahead the others with once again very high 1.98 merit per post, followed by Arabic (0.9) and Spanish (0.86) local boards. Just a reminder that suich a high merit/post ratio is not so unusual for less active local boards like Romanian as a few good posts that receive a lot of merit can drastically increase the whole board's merit/post ratio.

Regarding the names at the bottom, Phillipines and Greek board stick out once again. While Greek board is among the less active ones so its not a surprise, Phillipines board is consistently among the more active ones so I don't think that having such a low ratio is good representation of their board quality.

Merit senders and receivers per local board during June 2024

During the last month 456 members sent merit in one of the local boards while 572 received merit which is an expected decrease compared with May numbers (540 senders and 663 receivers).

Once again few other local boards managed to have more merit senders and receivers than Russian board despite having feweer merit sent and much smaller boards (which was something that didn't happoen in the past) while Pilipinas board also had a a lot of merit senders/receivers relative to the amount of merit sent.

Percentage of merited posts across local boards during June 2024

An average percentage of merited posts across 18 local boards during June was 21.7 which is a drop compared to month before percebtage (23.55).

Once again Romanian local board has been at the top with unbelieavable 75% of merited posts (30 out of 40 posts received merit), followed by Spanish (34.Cool and Arabic (29.22) local boards. Regarding the bottom, this time we see a change as Greek board managed to have even lower percentage than Pilipinas which is something not easy to achieve.

I took a break from writing the comments.
It was actually something I liked: try to build a "story" behind the numbers, is something where lies a lot of added value to this kind of reports.
Bit of course it takes a lot of time.
Yeah I can definitely understand you getting bored of it as you put crazy amount of time in those texts.

My overview has nowhere near as detailed/interesting/inspired as yours so it makes it much easier to continue in the same fashion.

I don't know about you, but writing that commentary is the biggest pain in the ass for me. It’s nothing special, and it’s short (unlike yours), but after a couple of years, it’s become tedious to write.

This new comment-less format takes almost one hour and an half to make. Commentaries added at least another hour and half, or even more.
If you feel exhausted, take a break, and add commentaries back at a later stage.

Not that the tears of the pizza contest have finally dried, I could work on your post to extrapolate the graphs for my local board overview.
We really have to step up for the next year contest and start thinking out of the box as competition became serious and I can only imagine its gonna be even tougher the next year.  Wink

I steered to a more synthetic comment, glad you stick to the usual commentary style! I know how much hard work is behind that.

Hey mate!

Great quality as usual!

I have not applied for the merit source but one of the known members of this forum has applied.
Yeah I know, by "your" I meant Indian merit source, noy you specifically.

LOL! My mistake in understanding the reply  Grin

One of the things I noticed is that he usually approves merit source applications in bulk and only after merit shared drops down significantly and since that hasn't happened yet, I think it won't happen anytime soon so prepare yourself for a little bit longer wait.
Understood! It is how things work but that will make our local board dry. Recently @hugeblack did shower merits to those topics or replies that were significant to the topic. I urge all the global merit sources to give some eyes on the Indian local board.

We discuss our issues and problems in English. It won't be an issue to understand the discussion if a simple Google search about the topic can be done, thanks.

I am the one who is trying to help him in getting the application approved by @Theymos. I hope he finds time to look into this graphical representation of the local Indian board and approve the application.

Here is the updated local race chart!
Thanks, I just updated the overview.

Last but not the least in this overview, list of top 10 members across 18 local boards/threads. Regarding the overall most active members, this time top 3 comes form the same board (Turkish), namely totti67 (288 posts), verbakalim (265) and mandown (229). Kudos guys, keep it up (and wake up joker_josue)!

Congratulations to the TOP 3 and to all the local tab users who stay active!

I wasn't far from 3rd place...  Tongue
But, things have been a little calm on the sides of my local tab. Fortunately, we increased the number of merits compared to last year.
