!
Thanks Mr Rikafip for compiling this. I am glad I came out first on my local board most active poster, this is a lot for me. A post of 129 for the month of November isn't an easy one, I look forward to making more appearance in your thread and keep the good work going. Besides this I want to know how you're feeling now?,  hope you're feeling more better? Because absence of personalities like you would really affect the running of this forum.

Once again thanks Mr Rikafip.

As I promised yesterday, here's the latest monthly overview of the local boards activity. As usual, charts and table are made with the help of @DdmrDdmr Merit Dashboard and @TryNinja Ninjastic.space and images uploaded via joker_josue's TalkImg.

Communities marked with * (Pakistan and Bangladesh) don't have their own local boards yet but I do hope that will change soon as imho they definitely deserve it and forum can only benefit from it.

Post activity per local board during November 2023

During November 2023 in the 18 local boards/threads 23958 posts were made, which is a solid 8% increase compared to month before (22105). As usual, Russian board remained the most active one, followed by Turkish at 2nd and Nigerian local board at the 3rd spot, with the latter coming closer and closer to the former so its just a matter of time when Nigerian board overtakes that 2nd spot that is usually held by the Turks.

At the bottom we see the usual names, with only the order changing. With that being said, its hard not to notice that Greek local board had 200% increase compared to the month before and I hope that wasn't just an exception and they continue with the similar or even better numbers in the upcoming months.

Local Board post race

Animated local board post race chart, courtesy of bitmover

Active members per local board during November 2023

Last month 1531 members wrote at least one post across local boards, which is a slight increase compared to October (1504). Once again Russian local board is at the top, followed by Indonesian and Nigerian local boards, who both have the all time high (well, at least the highest since I am making this chart).

Local board members per amount of posts during November 2023

When it comes to the members who wrote only 1 post in the above mentioned period, Indian is the leader with 58%, followed by Spanish (43%) and Polish (39%) local boards. In the same bracket, Romanian has the lowest percentage of such members (13%), followed by Pakistan (15%) and  Nigerian (19%) local boards.

In the 2-9 posts bracket, Romanian is the leader with 63%, followed by German (45%) and Bangladesh (41%) locals. At the same time, Indian has only 19% of such members, follwed by Greek (21%) and
Croatian (25%) local board.

When it comes to members who wrote 10+ posts, Pilipinas is the leader with 52% of such members, followed by Nigerian (49%) and Pakistan (46%) locals. When it comes to the lower percentage, Indian is  is the leader with 22% and after them are Polish (23%) and Romanina & German both with 25%.

Merit shared per local board during November 2023

Despite the increase of the amount of psots, number of merit shared dropped: from 10296 in October to 8328 in November 2023 which makes it almost 20 % decrease (its 19.1 %, to be precise) and I must say that I didn't expect it, especially since amount of posts increased.

Due such a big decrease, no wonder that almost all local boards have decreased numbers; some smaller like Italian and Turkish and some biogger like Russian and Indonesian local boards. Let's hope that was just a bad month and we see improvement in the next month's overview.

Merit/Post ratio per local board for November 2023

Since amount of merit shared decreased by ~20% while at the same time post number went up 8%, no wonder that almost all local boards hgad a significant drop in the merit/post ratio, and what's even more obvious is the domination of red colour, meaning 12 months ratio is higher that last month's for almost all boards.

Italian local board is the leader with 0.74 ratio (probably lowest for the leader since I am making these overviews), followed by Indonesian (0.72) and Romanian  (0.7) local boards.

Pilipinas is once again at the bottom with only 0.04 merit per post, which is comparable to the off-topic and similar spammy boards and I doubt that's the quality of discussions there. Can maybe someone from that local board shed some light and explain what's the situtaion there?

Merit senders and receivers per local board during November 2023

During November, 537 members sent merit across 16 local boards while 591 received merit and its no surprise that its a decrease compared with month before (555/655). Just to note that Pakistan and Bangladesh are not included because Merit Dashboard only has that data for local board, which they are not unfortunately but I hope that's something that will change in the upcoming months so I can finally include them in this chart as well.

Percentage of merited posts across local boards during November 2023

Compared to last month, there are some big changes on this chart; while Indian had 55% of posts merited, last month this percentage dropped to only 18%, with Romamanian board being the leader (36%) , Croatian local board at the 2nd spot with 30% merited posts and Italian at the 3rd place with almost 28% of merited posts. At the same time, Pilipinas is dead last with less than 3% of posts being merited which is not a surprise given their merit/post ratio.

Merit per transaction across local boards during November 2023

Last in this series of charts, merit per transaction which can shed some light on meriting habits in local boards. Once again Pakistan and Bangladesh are missing from this chart for the same reason (and from the above chart too).

The most active members per local board during November 2023

Last but not the least, list of all the top 10 most active members per local board.  joker_josue from Portuguese local board has been once again the most active member across all local boards with 280 posts, followed by Smartprofit (259) and BVeyron (245) who are both members of Russian local boards. Good job guys, keep it up!

Bro forgot what he was doing, and started partying.
Good one! I wish that was the reason, but unfortunately I had some health issues in the last few weeks, hence the lack of activity on forum and delayed monthly overview.

Oops, get well soon buddy!

Bitcointalk can wait and every day is great for partying, so don't feel sad if you miss out the parties.

Come on, Rikafip, you can skip this month and get back to kicking my ass on Friday 5th of January!
Haha no way, I haven't skipped a single overview since I started doing this and I don't plan to start now. You can expect it out later today or tomorrow morning at the latest!

Actually, if you skip that, I am also skipping the update of the missing parts ib in my post AND blaming you for this. It’s a win-win situation!
I would rest: get a full recovery and much needed rest to start next year at full throttle!

Really skipping it will also increase the anxiety of those who are interested to see their countries performance in the month. This local boards update here is helping the local boards to improve in many areas. Both in merit distribution, and activities with the local board participation. fillippone thanks for always encouraging Rikafip to update this thread every either by comments and merits. Rikafip we are waiting patiently to see last month analysis. Nigeria is coming up to the top.

By the way, I started the work on monthly overview and it should be out by the end of the week

Bro forgot what he was doing, and started partying.

<...>
That made me giggle.
Above all because I can totally relate to that. Been there so many times, you just want to get the work done, yet you don’t want to feel it like a chore.

Since last month ended up on Thursday, Merit Dashboard was ready basically the first day of this month so I already have all the data needed. I tried to bluff @fillippone into rushing once again to publish his monthly overview and waste his weekend, but I think he saw through my feeble attempt.  Grin

I think I won’t ruin my OpSec too much revealing that here in the town where I live is holiday. Tomorrow in Italy is holiday as well. So I am moving to a secret location, away from all my machinery needed to post something as complicated as a board overview.
I usually post from mobile, but that post from mobile is a no go for me.

Local board members await November month status.
Working on it as we speak. With that being said, I have to push the deadline to sometime later next week as I have some obligations during the weekend.

You must be new here. Rikafip usually publishes the stats within the first fifteen days. There is no guarantee that he will do the same this month.
There's no rule really. Sometimes I update it very early, and sometime I am too lazy (or too busy) and delay it until the end of the month. Realistically speaking, my main problem is procrastination and that's something I've been working on for quiote some time with no much success.

Sometimes we need an updated merit dashboard for the most accurate data.

It depends on his mode and the workload he has. But I can guarantee you that he will publish the stats before the New Year  Wink Wink . Kidding aside. Sometimes we need an updated merit dashboard for the most accurate data. Rikafip wants to provide accurate data. Sometimes rushing doesn't bring good results. So, he take some time to combine the data and work with relax mode. No need to rush!

No pressure, my friend. You already were slacking last month, you are becoming old and less performing. It happens even to the bests!
Oh that's for sure. When I started making these overviews I couldn't wait for DdmrDdmr to update his Merit Dashboard (I remember pestering him via PMs, asking when it will be updated) but now I am just happy to finish it by the end of the month.

This month situation is a little bit different because if I don't do it by Christmas, I definitely won't do it this month at all as in that period between Christmas and New Year I indulge myself too much in food & alchocol so I definitely won't have will to do something like this. Therefore I started the other day and hopefully finish it by end of this week, or beginning of the next at the latest.

[Note: What happens to the post when a local thread gets their own board?]
Nothing  special happens, thread simply becomes part of the local board. Sometimes it gets locked after creation of local board while sometimes it stays open and active.

The funny thing is, no one even replied to my post when I called them out because they know that they are guilty of wrongdoing. They have insulted me with alternate accounts, so I cannot tell who that was.  Cheesy Some members appreciated me because I tried to fix these things, but surely some of them are not happy with my work!

I could have created a thread on local boards if I wanted to report or tag them. I didn't have to post in our local thread multiple times and request them not to do any abuse. I just wanted to help them.
But in the end it did helped didn't it? We are seeing less and less spam posts in the local thread now. Not only that the copy paste news article source style posts have also stopped. It did decreased the thread activity counts but who cares about quantity. It's always about the quality. Rather than posting like a lazy persons I see newbies (in local thread) making questions on several topics, which is surely a good sign. People are trying to discuss in a constructive manner.

With all the good and bad sides, do you think we can hope for a local board any sooner? New years brings new news, maybe a happy one.

Agbe, I am happy to inform you and Rikafip too that since I posted here in this thread and also posted in fillippone's thread about it, at least they stopped using the forum feature for now and I hope they won't repeat it again. The reason why I did not post on global boards about it is that I wanted to fix things locally. Some senior and junior members also agree with it. If global members start digging into these things, some of my locals will end up having some neutral feedback. I wanted to have a discussion with them in our local thread but it didn't worked for long time until I post this. I am happy to say that things in control for now.

You have done well congratulations for the peace of mind.

Given the Nigeria's population (more than 200 million, 6th most populous country in the world) and more importantly how popular bitcoin is there, its not really a surprise that they are climbing up the ladder fast and I wouldn't be surprised at all to see them at the top in the future.

Success of the Nigerian local board should be a proof enough to forum staff that it makes sense to create few more local boards to those who consistently have good numbers, namely Pakistan and Bangladesh as their numbers would most likely grow too if given local boards.
Thank for your complement. I am a Nigerian and very active in the local board and there are times I would visit the board and also surprised to see how fast the board is growing and active. When we create a thread, within 7 to 10 hours the thread would be in the second page of the board. And that is a very good example of a growing board and need urgent moderators, merit Sources and Sub-boards. We will be very much happy to have those things in place so that the board will be very neat and active the more. I thank you all for supporting the board from one way or the other.

They always have been active participants on the forum with lot of recognized members which has helped them to get their own local board but also impressed by how active they are with such good number of posts within a month while some big boards are not having that much forum engagement.

For the first time in the last five months, other Bangladeshi locals were able to beat me. Usually, I was too active in our local thread, but recently, I had to cool down due to massive spam in our local thread. We Bangladeshi people have been expecting a local board for a long time now, and we are trying hard to improve the quality.

But instead, we got dozens of spammers who copy-paste news and write nonsense and started abusing the system. I felt like I should step down slowly from there as some other senior members already stepping down. Thanks for the chart Rikafip.
Smile!! You don't have to step down and if you does the local thread will just collapsed so all what you have to do is to create a topic and list all the chronic spammers that you and warn them that if they refused to stop spamming the thread then you will submit the list in the Spam reporting thread in general board everyone to see. And bump the thread every week and if they continue the spamming habit then you submit to the spam reporting thread in Reputation Board.
