If my memory is correct, Claymore is also distributing private miners, that'd also explain why we don't have a public miner update for months now, a better version is only available to farms.

I don't think I'll ever believe that without any good proof. Can you present something like an evidence for what you just said? IMO, Claymore would never like to get into the business of making and selling private miners.

BTW, nice to see you at bitcointalk, bro! Wink

Bitcoin Talks Bullshit Walks
About dual mining: ASICs killed almost all coins that can be mined in dual mode, the rest of these coins have too small value to include them. That's why you don't see any new coins for dual mining.
ASICs. greed kills, and will kill ETH too. So why not ubqhash Smiley

There I fixed it for you.  And btc will fall to the same demise.  Greed if left unchecked is cancerous in nature.

Hell it doesn’t take too far of a step back and a look at our planet to see where greed leads us. Straight to the toilet.

Insanity. Doing somthing the same over and over expecting different results.  We are all insane in our own ways.(mostly due to passed down behaviors) To rise above that is to understand your faults and being able to recognize when they are holding you back

BR
Yes, but nither you, me or Claymore cant fix greed. So lets be on subject!
I'll just say that if developers weren't distributing private miners then there wouldn't be an incentive for the already wealthy to buy hundreds of GPUs and destroy the profitability and the decentralisation.

See how I made it relative to the subject? Wink

Exactly this.  Everyone falls for it.  Btc is no different.  In another thread someone was confused about nature.  They think the bigger an entity gets the more dectralozed it gets.  When I can find no example pf this anywhere.  Cities business nature. So to be so naive to think somehow a system driven by greed somehow won’t centralize is gross negligence to yourself and others.  This whole system is a fail.  That’s ok.  We piss more money away on killing people than this per year.  So this is a drop in the bucket.  Fuck the investors. You owe them nothing.  Admit this is a huge fucking failure until they can get the dectralization problem figured out.  Until then no one should touch this will 100ft pole. Let alone their hard earned money.  Just remember your gain is someone loss.  Right now the system is transferring wealth from regions of high power to those with low power.  Funny how this really works

Why do you need a new version? RX480/580 were hashing at 31MH/s 6/12/18 months ago. Dozens of versions of claymore have been released since then. They still hash at 31MH/s. As for me he releases new versions too often.

Hello everyone,
I just started in mining and for now, I just want to see how it goes.
But I have a problem, I have a GTX970 graphics card and my Hashrate don't exceed 2.974 Mh / s exactly (it's always this value)!
Does anyone have a solution for me?
Yeah, go to Nicehash with that card for start

Hello claymore,

I am getting error with my pool with ssl connection

It works fine with ethminer however it has a certificate verification problem on claymore miner

Here is the full log and debugging with openssl

Big fan of your miner Claymore, I've been using it for the past year and super happy with the results.  Your miner seems to have the most robust set of options I've come across, keep up the great work!

Ubiq (UBQ) has recently been developing a new variation of Ethash called Ubqhash.  The decision to develop a new mining algorithm was decided through a community governance vote earlier this year.  I believe a lot of the current miners in the Ubiq community are using your mining software, I was wondering if you've heard of the upcoming Ubqhash algorithm and whether you'd be interested in adding support for it in the future.  For more information check out this medium blog, https://blog.ubiqsmart.com/introducing-ubqhash-8fa515befd7

Cheers!
Yea, wanted to ask same. Will you Claymore look at this and add it?

Ubqhash and Ubqminer Testnet is now ready for public testing
https://github.com/ubiq/ubqminer-testnet/releases

Currently I don't have any plans to implement it, sorry.

Any chance we can provide some incentive to support it, perhaps some bounty pay? You would get a lot of usage after the swap as well with options for mining software being reduced.

Its a minor change to the SHA3 hashing to now be Blake2b, this creates a new DAG version.

About dual mining: ASICs killed almost all coins that can be mined in dual mode, the rest of these coins have too small value to include them. That's why you don't see any new coins for dual mining.
ASICs kills, and will kill ETH too. So why not ubqhash Smiley

About dual mining: ASICs killed almost all coins that can be mined in dual mode, the rest of these coins have too small value to include them. That's why you don't see any new coins for dual mining.

There're good news about antiASICs changing in SIA! It would be great to implement this possibility!

Currently I don't have any plans to implement it, sorry.

There is allot of miners out there and I have tried most of them but always come back to the Claymore Miner, for me being able to configure fan speeds, overclock and undervolt GPU all in one bat file is what separates a good miner from a brilliant miner, this is my personal opinion. Yes there is a dev fee but at the end of the day I gladly pay it for the ongoing support the miner receives from Claymore himself.

Anyway, just wanted to say thank you and keep up the good work, looking forward to the next release.
