Can't seem to get a good stable OC for the death of me lol. Any suggestions?

My dual mining hashrate for ETH currently fluctuates between 42-48Mh/s from two 8Gb Strix RX 480s, with one card around 20-23Mh/s and the other 24-25Mh/s. I've read that people are able to get 30-31Mh/s from these cards through OC but outside of the default OC at 1330Mhz in GPU Tweak 2, everything crashes after a while. I had managed to get to 51Mh/s but it crashed. My rig is as follows and any help/guidance would be appreciated.

Ryzen 7 1700x
Asrock x370 Taichi Mobo
Corsair H100i v2 Liquid Cooling
(2) Asus Strix RX 480 8GB running with Crossfire - Driver 17.10.1731
32Gb Ram
750W Power Supply
1 SSD, 2 Sata HDDs
NZXT Phantom with 5 fans (1 200mm, 4 140mm)
Windows 10 64bit

Any ideas or advice on getting up to 50-60Mh/s?

Edit: It just crashed on the default OC as well.. smh

Do not use Crossfire for mining, disable it.
Set the core clock to 1200MHz or lower (just enough to not affect your hashrate by a significant amount), as well as the voltage, and the memory clock as high as you can without getting any GPU Memory errors in HWinfo.
Look into BIOS modding as well, only through that will you have a shot at getting 30MH/s.

Turned it off, still crashing on even the smallest changes after about a few minutes when the card gets going. Not sure what's wrong.

I did some bios modding and tuning is msiAB last day. HWinfo was running and showed 0 errors, but I saw glitches on the screen, and after a few mins my system froze. Tried multiple times with multiple variations but no errors in HWinfo, just glitches and crashes.
I did find the almost optimal settings, but HWinfo did not help me.
I think I missed something. Can you help me pls?

Is it possible to set specific GPU´s to dual mine and some to solo mine on the same rig? Say in a 6x gpu rig 3 would dual mine and 3 would solo mine. If this is possible, help with the config would be appreciated, thx!
First post......RTFM.

What first post? can´t find any information in claymores first post that shows how you would do what i ask for?......

Maybe you did not read my question? RTFQ

Hi!

I have rx470 strix 8g oc micron, 1750 straps copied.
Is it normal that my setting (-60mV +50% power 1110 clock 2000mem) works fine with single ETH mining with claymore 9.4, but when I do dual ETH+DCR it crashes after 5-20 mins?
Can it be that different -dcri values causes different uptime? Like -dcri 31 works fine, but -dcri 28 crashes?

my start.bat:

setx GPU_FORCE_64BIT_PTR 0
setx GPU_MAX_HEAP_SIZE 100
setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1
setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
setx GPU_SINGLE_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
EthDcrMiner64.exe -epool eu1.ethermine.org:4444 -epool eu2.ethermine.org:4444 -ewal 0xb108bfda0a62097d63e6b623fdde27ecb7b8ab61.EMA01 -epsw x -dpool stratum+tcp://dcr.suprnova.cc:3252 -dwal mathison.EMAdec01 -dpsw x -dcri 28 -allpools 1 -allcoins 1
Dual mining uses more power, so you can't lower clocks as much. Zcash is the same. You need tested stable settings for each situation.
Thanks! Now its running 2.5 hrs with 1100/1950 and seems stabile.
Does this seem a fair result: 27 ETH + 755 DCR ?

If u go in whattomine and put 27 mh eth and 755 decred it will say you are doing 125 dollars month
If you the same with eth + sia coin will be 220 dollars

Sia is more profitable now

Thank you! I will give it a try! Are there any tips or tricks what pool or wallet should I chose?

Hi,

I have a nice fast laptop with the latest intel and nvidia quadro M2000 (4GB)
I ll only getting 1.2Mh/s???
what's wrong?

regards,
eric

what coin do you mine?

ETH only gives 1.2Mh/s
ETH and DCR gives 1.2Mh/s ETH and 12Mh/s DCR

quadro cards, if you have Windows and last drivers....
quadro card in control panel for gpu, has an option to use gpu for matematical operations, and grapichs operations.
try to change this option.

p.s. quadro 2000 (m)2000 is only for mobile, notebooks.... is not as new card as you may thing.

I have the latest driver 382.05
but I can't find the setting that your mentioning?
I see a setting "Optimize for Compute Performance" but that doesn't give better hashrates.

What are the mh/s people are getting with Gtx 980 ?

Gigabyte 980 = 21.3 MH/s

EVGA 980 = 21.6 MH/s

EVGA 980 Ti = 23.5 MH/s

Ok my strix 980's 1 getting 20mh/s and the other getting 22mh/s and using 165w each from wall. Are the wattages same as yours?

I'll double check when I get home, I don't remember off the top of my head..

Not a good way to use a 980ti bro... you should go mining ezcash

Ok

I have been mining more than 48 hours and when i check the miner the hashrate is always at 42.9 but today my avarage hashrate starts to dop what could be the problem?

Your effective hashrate is calculated by the shares your miner manages to accept.

With that said its a variable that does not always follow your exact hashrate. It is normal with variations, sometimes it´s higher and sometimes it´s lower then what your current reported hashrate is.Smiley
Thanks for the explanation
