I've done some tweeting and made an initial round of email contacts (to those who at least have email or form contacts - some don't have anything). If anyone knows of bloggers or lesser known crypto news organizations that I don't already have listed in the "Favorites" section on the Asistec TI Forum, please let me know and I'll get in touch with them.

You know, I was thinking, this is a double edged sword: our "enemies" will be looking to pick apart all our "flaws" . . .

We've got to be on top of our game in every respect.

I received a pm from a fellow Digibyte supporter suggesting to do some advertising on Gamers websites. Any thoughts on that? I like it and its really worth a shot!

500,000 DGB buys a CoinDesk press release. Let's say 20 of us chip in, that's 25,000 each. Chump change.

Sample Title: DigiByte Set For Big Year In 2016

Content: news summary recap of the aleady implimented and in place DGB ecosystem and the key announcements about its projection, future growth and expansion plans as communicated in the recent interview and DigiReport

The DigiByte Group has experience in this, and if we can get some financing going here, we can probably count on their active participation. I'd also be willing to help with redaction, along with being a financial contributor, of course . . that's if this idea gets some momentum.

http://www.coindesk.com/press-release-submission/

I've also tweeted CoinDesk twice, once each with the 2 main "leads" to the DigiByte story. Since we really are talking about something newsworthy, we might just get a two-for-one. This is the kind of story that is so big it usually even includes user and expert reactions!

There have been a few questions about the status of current projects for the DGB Group.  We will have a "February DigiByte Knights Challenge Contest."  I'm working on getting that done in the next couple of days.

As far as marketing projects ... we have done press releases (mid-2015) for DGB Gaming.  I'm happy to consider them again.  Our projects and mission are to support the DGB community and provide support to Jared's objectives for DGB.  It's really great that we will have the 2016 roadmap because it will give us a framework to plan and organize projects.

My current plan is to focus marketing on purchasing social media advertising instead of press releases.  I think we can get more for the money with social media advertising than with paid-press releases.  I don't agree with the pay-to-play mentality of purchased press releases.  They don't reach nearly enough people and I think news should be news and not advertising.  But, I'm not ruling them out, and I am always happy to help coordinate community-member-led projects through the DGB Group.

Personally, I'd rather see us shoot from approximately $100 per month in social media advertising.  The primary obstacle is payment, which has to be made with a credit card (they don't accept DGB or BTC as payment).  I'm looking into the Coinbase debit card.  I'll update the projects over the next few weeks.

Cheers,

Eric

Good points, and I must say that I agree, especially when talking about the pay-to-play mentality of purchased press releases and that news should be news and not advertising. That was also one of my misgivings; my personal attempt to justify making an "exception" was the hope that it might come with a real "front page" news article on their part. However, reading your comments has helped me to change my mind - this really is newsworthy in my opinion, and they should treat it as such.

I'm going to contact other crypto news outlets and see just who wants to be the first to get on the story. Let's see who's really serious in that space.

I also trust you when you say that we can get more for the money with social media advertising than with paid-press releases. I know you have looked into this closely and thoroughly. What specific ideas do you have to recommend? I know you mentioned a pemanent monthly campaign, but if we were to focus on a one time leveraging of current DGB news with the goal of gaining maximum short term dissemination? And considering that the gaming sector is already getting more than its fair share of targeting (don't get me wrong, I think that's a good thing as you know from my active campaigning for it last year - I would just think it's best not to duplicate efforts), what social media do you consider to be best for a short term splash with an eye on broadening our base and getting the info as widely spread as possible, and as soon as possible (keeping in mind that news is only "new" for so long)?

This image may help spell it out.
#13 in volume from top 100 coins.
Yet lowest market cap shows there is still plenty of growth and market share for Chinese exchanges to capitalize on.
Oh and 13 just happens to be a lucky number in China  Cheesy

And if you look into those coins in that list you will see a few of them have that high volume because of the 3 Chinese exchanges we mentioned.

You guys need to focus on getting listed at the following two Chinese exchange and the value of DGB will go through the roof.
BTC38 - http://www.btc38.com/trade_en.html
JUBI - http://www.jubi.com

Actually its 3...

I  posted this 2 times already...Jared mentioned it in his digi report so lets hope we do it...

I know everyone is working hard but trust me if you want to move forward our number one goal right now should be these 3 exchanges ASAP.

Volume, volume, volume = higher prices = more exposure = more digibyte members.

I hope this gets done soon.

After those exchanges I would be attacking all these...

Could someone make a DigiByte Payment Module for Opencart 1.5.x.x and 2.x.x.x?
Maybe even offer community raised bounty for a task like this?
It is something that will aid the integration of DigiByte.

Always willing to chip in to community projects, would be nice if whale or two would too.  Wink

Guys our number one goal is getting on the Chinese exchanges, as many as we can.

Any Chinese digibyte members? You can make contact and explain why digibyte should be added.

Jubli

BTC38

Yuanbaohui

We must get on those 3 exchanges.

Ah well its now Midnight in Honk Kong so the chances of any news or video is out the window for Friday.

I find that a bit of a disappointment & a big let down for the community of the Devs part at least they could have told you there is going to be a delay or Jared could have gave a small bit of info to this forum.....Makes all the hype seem pointless once again & just puts more doubt in new investors minds as to whether DGB is the coin to be placing your money in long-term.....looks like the pump was for nothing once again......Back to 30s soon for more cheap DGB

Goodbye sole troll, one word of advice, SELL your DGB and exit crypto for good. You're life will improve, you've proven you can't handle it.
I like that “sole troll”, that’s a good name for you ‘Pringles’, you demoralise well!

Here, take the first award, you want it so bad!

First award goes to pringles1901 for his continued endeavours in the demoralisation of the DigiByte community!

OH thanks Guys you made me feel part of the community now & I am so happy to be here, I was going to leave but as I now have an obligation to defend my Title i guess i better stick around a bit longer

Lets begin with 207BTC trading volume in the last 24 hours & all i see is a load of selling going on...just proves a point that there is far to many coins in the wild & most are willing to dump them...100sats by next week..not a change in hell.....1000 sats in one year......I would have more chance being the next king of England
Here ya go, you're the kingtroll of cryptoland.
