Yes! The world is in fact in dire need of Altcoins, other than that it's likely to collapse considering inflation rate and other daily bills or expenses. Altcoins has come to increase the value of money to fight these inflation and rising cost of utility bills etc.

I think most of the new inventions and innovations are in the area of altcoins. So, without altcoins, this might not be possible. Although, if it could work out well without altcoins, it might br scanty.

For me I think no need for altcoins because we already have bitcoin as a digital currency, they just create another coins because they want for an upgrade or to have coins much better than bitcoin, but it is also good because bitcoin has its competitors in the crypto market.

Everyone as have is own intelligence even though let's say we do not need altcoin but there are thoughts that will really push that they will create new coins and will plan on going the same path as bitcoin.
