I do believe in god but i do not live my life based on any religious principals, however I prefer to think of it as faith in the unknown more than anything. I don't believe everything happens for an exact reason or anything crazy like that. Its just the universe is truly amazingly huge. Like its astonishingly huge. You cannot wrap your tiny mind around how huge it is!!

I'll give you some perspective. Alpha Centauri is our closest neighboring star. It is approximately 4.37 light years away from earth. That means if you took a flash light and pointed it there it would take approximately 4.3 years to reach it. Now the fastest moving space ship we have ever created is the Voyager 2 space craft which travels approximately 67 000 km per hour (your car goes 200km max so Voyager 2 which is  the fastest moving thing ever made is pretty damn fast at 67 000 km per hour)

If you took Voyager 2 and pointed it at Alpha Centauri today, you know how long it would take to get there? any guesses? no? ok ill tell you LIKE 70 000 YEARS!!! lol  and that is just right next door to us, that's our next door neighbor at 70 000 years away, after that neighbor is BILLIONS  of other neighbors as well as billions of other galaxy featuring billions of other stars inside those and all that makes up the universe.

"How are you so positive god doesn't exits , are you sure you looked everywhere??" - Joe Rogan

Anything incomprehensibly big enough to have created the entire universe is just that- incomprehensible

I live my life by science, I advocate this to others, only reason and common sense but I would be lying if I said I had no faith because believing there is a point to trying as hard as I can just helps me get through life, but I have no religous views, I just feel it in my heart especially when I try and understand the enormity of our universe

Yes, I believe in God.

FYI: You are to write God as G-o-d, not g-o-d.

My reasons: Nature follows an orderly and precise pattern, so precise that you can forecast the whether. Scientific principles are based on the precise laws of nature, we have technology because nature can be counted on to behave in a particular manner ALL the time.
That screams creation.

Nature was created, that is why it's so precise.
If you say no it wasn't, you might as well tell me bitcoin and the blockchain just came into existence, they were not developed by someone.
Nice point.. But who created the God dude.. If you are saying someone have to develop everything like bitcoin and blockchain.. who develop the God...(Not an insult dude,,.. One logical question only)

Everyone who believes in God should have no reason not to believe in the Spaghetti Monster or the Tooth Fairy, because why not?! You can't disprove they don't exist either so why not believe in them as well? http://www.venganza.org/ http://spaghettimonster.com/

Of course.  Even if I didn't see Him in flesh, I could feel His presence by the people around me, through blessings, and happiness that I am alive.  As the Bible says, Blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed.  They said God is like air/wind, we cannot see it but we feel it.  In every thing we see, there is someone who created it right?  So everything here on earth, someone have created it and that is God.

Trouble with this thinking is, if people are not pushed a little into looking at the reality of God, they forget that they believe in God naturally, in the depths of their heart. Forget God, and you gradually forget life.

Cool

This is a very deep argument BADecker. Especially when one considers what happens in the long run to those who forget life. There is a certain ironic elegance to a universe in which continued and sustained existence comes only to those who honor and respect its creator. Do we live in such a universe? It is entirely possible that we do.

I was raised as a catholic but eventually realized how most religions are simply a very effective way of controlling people. and now I just simply can't believe in something for which there is no evidence. is really that simple.

Do you believe in god? If you do, why do you believe? (give a few reasons)

Strange you ask questions ... Faith should not be for something or someone. Faith simply must be. If you have questions like these. So you still do not discover the truth. To her knowledge, you do not need to ask questions in others. You need to look inside yourself. And first of all, decide whether you need faith.

All you need is great faith if you do believe in God.

No, I do not. You start believing something when someone tries to convince you something totally made up in such manner that it gets stuck in your head. You could compare it to Flat-Earthers. They get taught that the world is flat, there is no possible way to get it out of their heads.
Another reason why you shouldn't even start believing is the amount of religions. How are you supposed to know what the real/correct religion is. I bet every religion will tell you theirs is the actual one. What I believe? A comet hit the earth containing valuable proteïnes which survived and evolved. Might not be true, but imo a god who makes stuff up isn't the correct answer either.
You are wrong. But that's not the point. Faith in God helps a person in a difficult moment. Even if the belief in God and deception. What's wrong if a person who believes in God, to cope with the difficulties better than the person who does not believe in God ?!

Yes I believe in God.He is our creator and I believe that He is the reason for everything. We do things to honor him. There are many things that can't be explained that happened and the only explanation is it's a miracle and only God can do it.

Definitely!  I believe that there is Someone that created this entire universe.  That everything that we see and enjoyed is created by an Ultimate Creator.  Everything is not a mistake or just an accident.  In every creation there is a Creator and that is our Almighty God.  As stated in the bible, Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.  God is like air, we cannot see Him but we feel Him.  We feel him through his blessings, through our answered prayers.  The family we have, the food we eat, the people around us that makes us happy, everything that makes us live the life that we want.  God is forever.
