Right now I don't think there will be an altcoin that can surpass bitcoin. Not only that bitcoin has the most established market but it also has the most number of users and transactions which are factors that concludes whether the price will increase or decrease and those factora alone are already more than enough proof that no altcoin can surpass bitcoin now.

Its not just the price that decides it but also the market capitalization which bitcoin has the most. if you look at the charts the second to bitcoin who has the largest market cap

among all cryptocurrencies is ethereum and to be honest the gap is way too wide to catch up furthermore theres a big chance that it'll keep widening as the time goes by. So if

they something big doesn't come up for altcoins even a close fight has a low chance of happening. oh maybe if somethng big happens to bitcoin resulting in severe damage on

peoples trust, they might have a chance

It is difficult to make any predictions about the future. Because Bitcoin is very unpredictable and unstable. Alternative crypto currencies are unpredictable as well. But I do not think so. Bitcoin is the strongest. There are many strong alts but it can not be compared with Bitcoin.
As far as I've observed, altcoin's price goes unstable once bitcoin price got unstable since for me it's where most altcoins price depends on. As you can see from what happened on bitcoin fork, all altcoins price went down due to it and it went down depending on how deep down the bitcoins price goes down. Unlike when there's an altcoin event like Ethereum fork,  bitcoins price got affected but didn't affect that much.
as for what happen in bitcoin altcoin is very much affected I think so maybe because bitcoin is a decentralized of all that's why any movement that is might happen on it altcoin are affected anyway.

For me altcoin have a chance against in bitcoins in this future if the bitcoins reach their limits. The price of altcoin grows up higher than bitcoin. But for now altcoin don’t have a potential to conquer bitcoin otherwise there will be a complication through bitcoin that ethereum and altcoins will be to influential to other bitcoin users. Smiley
Too many alts to choose from,i don't think there is an specific alt that will be against with btc at this moment, btc will keep growing at top, even the splits outcome may not stop btc rising.

With bitcoin, I just need an address and then send directly to the person I intend to pay. And I like bitcoin because I don't have a problem when paying someone unlike banks that I need to go through the process of enrolling the account so that I can transfer instantly to that certain account.  Additional advantage is that I can transfer funds without transaction fee if we use the same platform of our wallet so no need to worry of high transaction fee. Since I don't have a credit card, it is hard for me to purchase something online and because of the bitcoin's popularity, there are more stores accepting it thus it is easier to purchase something.

Bitcoin is the mother of all altcoin, altcoins will never meet the value of this bitcoin but i think altcoin is a big contribution to the bitcoim because this are the reason why bitcoin is still alive
bitcoin was the first, yes, but that alone can't keep bitcoin on top forever. altcoins constantly seek to improve and include features that bitcoin do not have. it's a large part of their appeal. I'm off the opinion that eventually, an altcoin will come along that offers everything from security to a high market cap, fit for mainstream adoption and large scale use. just look at ethereum, it's boomed since its release due to the popularity and desirability of its features.

I am sure in the last five years, discussion like this would have surfaced and it would be suggested that in the next five years which is now Alt coin will meet up but unfortunately, the discussion is still being done again with no end in sight to that but hopefully the coming ones can live to the future.there are a lot of altcoins with huge potential like ETH, XRP, LTC, DASH, etc but they don't have chances against Bitcoin in the near future, it will need very long time to replace bitcoin, we can't predict it what will happen in the future.

I think not, altcoin can not be in opposition to its king, there are not any options or a way to altcoin can towards Bitcoin due to the fact bitcoin is the frequent forex of digital cash and all altcoin must be converted to bitcoin on the exchange. In previous a long time, many folks telling me that eth or litecoin would substitute bitcoin, bitcoin would be defeated but right up until now I nevertheless do not see any indication of bitcoin becoming defeated. I only observed the benefit of Bitcoins is nonetheless constantly growing and altcoin collapsed underneath its ft, it is proving the standing of a king and despise people who want to against it

I have been seeing Bitcoins' price rising with a stability in its growth, but due to the higher mining fee that is being levied on transactions these days, big businesses are now moving their funds towards alts and taking advantage with their least fees as well as shaping a completely new economy in the trends of altcoin markets. Do you think this may harm Bitcoin's dignity and open up a chance in real for alts to rise?

Maybe someday an altcoin may replace bitcoin because not all cryptocurrencies have the same usage as bitcoin so the possibility of an altcoin replacing bitcoin in the future is likely. Maybe it would be an altcoin that is already been existing or yet to be created. We never know what the future will be. Bitcoin is popular because it is the first cryptocurrency but maybe someday when an altcoin would be more valuable in terms of technology and usage then later on its price will caught up with bitcoin thus may end up replacing it in that place.

Cryptocurrencies have different purposes as well so maybe something will rise up in the field where it belongs like ethereum, it is in the highest position in terms of its category in smart contracts since bitcoin has other purpose and it is superior in its category. It would also depend on the support it gets from its community and so far now, bitcoin has the highest number of supporter.

Every day I can see dozens of new altcoins being invented by the developers. Most of them are copycats promoted by the scammers, but some have caught my attention. A few are Byteball, DeepOnion and Monero. These coins are very unique and serve purposes which are different from that of Bitcoin. But overtaking Bitcoin will be next to impossible.

Of course, any alts could take the place of Bitcoin if it's well maintained and popular.

I guess so, but it will be hard to make a token something like bitcoin. Bitcoin is decentralized and the most expensive coin in this world of crytocurrency, because of it, it became popular. Right now, I can't see any alts that will surpass bitcoin, bitcoin for me is the superior of them all, and it's going to take forever before some Altcoins could defeat bitcoin.

Why not! There are many altcoins available in the market which are technologically superior than bitcoin and also holds a lot of potential for the future. I can name ETH as a worthy contender of bitcoin. The transaction fees are low in ETH and the transactions are almost instant compared to a 30 minutes waiting for bitcoin transaction. However, bitcoin is enjoying the pioneer status in crypto world and that's why we are seeing a lot of investments flowing in to it.

Bitcoin will be available till 2023 and I am sure some other coin will come up and replace bitcoin for good. I have already started investing in to ETH and Dash thinking about the future potential. So I am sure some altcoin will surely replace bitcoin in future but not anytime soon.

For the altcoins, I only consider them as the sub market metas. They can't be the enemy of bitcoin because the idea of bitcoin is just amazing. Nothing can surpass it by being better than bitcoin in terms of features and speciality.
