I still prefer to use MyEtherWallet as my storage option for my ERC-20 coins and also for my ETH. Its a decentralized wallet for me
With the recent hack, I assume a lot of people will switch to something else, what do you think?

Of course I do, MEW I use to do crypto transfer between exchange. I have not found any way other than MEW which I think is the best in the present,
Myetherwallet and Metamask the two are good. Myetherwallet is online based while Metamask is a browser plugin. But if you have your own PC, I will recommend Metamask for you. it is easy and more safe to use plus it has other added advantage
I suppose MEW might be more secure because you can hack right into a MetaMask account with a dictionary attack on a weak password or the seed phrase. But I'm now not certain why the team recommends signing into MEW with MetaMask over the private key. As if a hacker could not get to the ETH private key if they have the MetaMask password.

Sure why not using it? It is a very good wallet to store the tokens collected during bounty campaigns.
You just need to be very carefull in the way you use it. Instead of opening the wallet all the time to check the coins, it is safer to use etherscan with only the ETH address.
Now off course it would be crazy to store a large amount of ETH on it. There are plenty of safer options.

I was always faithful to use MEW as this seems to be the safest wallet. And until recently were still in my token wallet MEW and I would also be careful using this wallet. During my private key that stores it certainly I feel safe.
Its my previous wallet that i used for now. I'd never hacked for now but i always take care for using this for the safety of my token. But many hackres do everything to fool of all many participants who are hardwork to have many rewards and they dont think their effort.

I'm also using a hardware wallet, but there is a time or option that you need to login to myetherwallet when you are going to add or transfer new coins, especially those coming from ico or airdrop coins, it's just important that you bookmark the site and install metamask or verifier to be sure that you are landing on the right page.

I think with the recent hacks, MEW has nothing to do with it and its a users fault. They unintentionally entered their private key to a MEW phishing website. A lot of people are still using MEW to store their coins - at least 70%.
I still use myetherwallet because it is safe and the developer make it safe for everyone who support their wallet. If there are problems the team will update everybody they give us warning.
