Whoops! Spoke too soon. PSV's winning streak has come to an end after 17 games as they drew 1-1  against Utrecht. They just needed this win to get past the record set in 87/88 Eredivisie season, by themselves and a few others.
Well, it had to happen sooner or later. No matter how good you're, it's almost impossible to have perfect record after whole season, unless it's very weak league. Yes, they still can end season undefeated, but I don't believe that it will happen. Still, this result isn't much threat for them in fight for title, but few more similar results and everything will be interesting again.
Meanwhile, Feyenoord got difficult win against Vitesse, though they dominated game. Now they're 10 points behind PSV.
Ajax is playing with Waalvijk and result is 1:1 after 25 minutes
Yesterday we had 2 unexpected results - Twente loss against Nijmegen and AZ ended 2:2 with Zwolle.
No doubt all is not well even you are having performance like we have from PSV in last few weeks they have to drop points and this happen against a team which is living above relegation zone but still things are under their control, and they have no threat from any team for their title chances in few other top flight matches we have few surprises as Twente and AZ Alkmaar both drop points opening space for the Ajax to have third spot until end of this season because now after this round they are having six points difference from the Twente which is going to visit Feyenoord and any result less than win is surely going to have problem for them.

Today Ajax having impressive win against Waalwijk which is surely giving them good confidence for the better performance in coming matches and recover from their worst start of this season with having better results in and good end.

Man the Eredivisie is finished a long time ago when PSV started to build the gap between them and Feyenoord andd withthe complete failure of Ajax in this tournament, so the chance of win this by PSV is 99,9% and also we have to say they are playing a really high level football, also in europe they do good games and for that they reached the round of 16 in Champions LEague after so many years.
I understand that by the point difference between PSV and other teams in the eredivisie saying that PSv has all the chances to win the league due to their dominance isn't out of place, they are twelve points ahead of feyenoord and twenty three points ahead of Ajax who is at the fifth position, but then some how I still think it isn't yet absolute that PSV is winning the eredivisie this season because last season we had similar experience in the premier league when it was almost very absolute that Arsenal will win the premier league and yet they ended up finishing below the first position but were still amongst top four, it's possible if PSV suffers any form of set back at this time feyenoord will quickly move to the top of the table, there's still a good number of weeks to the end of the season so anything can still happen but PSV has got a better chance.

Ajax can't be really seen as that bad because if you check their performance much earlier and now you will see great improvement and it's very possible they can get to be amongst the top four team because they are at the fifth position a step away from top four.
I don't think what happened in the premier league last season can happen here. The level of competition in the premier league is not the same here, so I don't see any chance that PSV will lose the top spot. Despite the big advantage PSV have they are still playing very well and getting more wins. They are not even showing any sign of slowing down.

Well seems like the majority of the teams after the break drop points against weaker teams, now Ajax is playing so lets see how they do, until now they are winning.

That is the thing with breaks and restart you are not gonna be the same as before, but wellthat aplies to both to be good or better than before or to become worst than before.

Feyenoord is by the game against vites which is in the last minute going to closen the gap between them and PSV who is at the top spot on the table with ten points ahead of them, and of course it still a very wide gap to cover up which will require so much of consistent winnings to be able to close that gap and have a chance to be at the top.

I like the liveliness of the game as feyenoord were able to not only win but had a good possession and more goal attempts than the host team Vitesse, feyenoord got their first goal in the first half which was followed by an equalizer from the host team Vitesse in the second half, the game is already passed the 100th minutes so far but feyenoord is still maintain the lead with their second goal the got in the second half, feyenoord has always won the host team in most of their meeting I just hope the don't end this in a draw because it's already passed the regular time and even added minutes yet the game hasn't ended.

The Eredivise is competitive no doubt and consistency works very much for the teams there. It's winter season and so the teams ought to brace up to gain enough grounds ahead of post winter break. PSV and Ajax are doing explicitly well in the league as they've been able to keep up with game victories too. For Alkmaar, they're lagging behind and it's really taking toll on them and their points on the league table too. They've just got to find a balance and get back to their pace.

Their league isn't even as competitive as other European leagues as there are just a few teams that are tough in their play. They can still meet up with points and stay at a good spot on the table too. Congrats to Ajax and PSV, they're good and are growing better gradually regardless of the little loopholes that they're having too.The second half of the season may likely take different turn in the league as it's believed that the various team managers will make new and better strategies to increase team's performance too.

Psv is showing an incredible performance. I guess such a performance has not been experienced in the Dutch league for a long time. They are currently playing their 18th match and are leading 1-0. If they win this match, they will have 18 wins in 18 matches. I think they won't give up leadership for a long time. Moreover, if they continue like this, they can declare their championship early. This year is definitely their year.

I think this is the result of years of hard work that has built up. If we look at the statistical data we can see that PSV is very consistently in second place at the end of the season in the Eredivise. This proves that they are a very consistent team. But what they have achieved this season is truly extraordinary. I wouldn't be surprised if they get first place at the end of the season. This is not like a fairy tale story like Leicester did in the EPL a few seasons ago. But getting all the games with wins? I thought only PSV had ever done something that crazy!

I predict that the end of the season will belong to PSV who will win the Eredivise. And second place is Feyenoord and third place is Twente. I don't think it can be replaced by another team. Ajax is playing well and is now only 5 points behind AZ Alkmaar and if Alkmaar plays badly in the next few matches then Ajax will replace Alkmaar in 4th place in the standings. Currently, Ajax is showing good performance by recording 4 wins and one draw from the last 5 matches. This is much better than the start of the season where Ajax only got a few wins and I thought their fate would be the same as Lyon in Ligue 1.

Roll Eyes No sarcasm intended here, but where did you get this magical crystal ball from that told you PSV will win the Eredivisie title? Tongue

But seriously, PSV is playing a season like I have never seen it before I think. I think I asked this before, but has there ever been a start like this for any team in the history of the Eredivisie?

I did a quick search and found this. Ok this means PSV Eindhoven can break the record with the next game if they win it. A draw would not break the record if we take the goal difference into account, which would be appropriate to be as precise as possible here. But it is amazing to see these numbers.

It's very obvious that PSV is gonna win the Eredivisie because they have been so consistent since the season began as they've won all 17 matches they've played so far this season and have a total points of 51 and 12 points above the second club Feyenoord in the league table. PSV resilience this season is very impressive as it isn't easy for any club to go as far as playing 17 league games without losing or drawing any of the matches and should they continue in this impressive performance, then they might be going towards an unbeaten record this season. Feyenoord was also very competitive in the beginning but they lose out 12 important points thereby keeping their title hopes far from achieving and Ajax that always dominated the league started very poorly as they just won only 8 matches out of 17 they've played and are in the 5th position with just 28 points so they're very far from the trophy this season.

PSV is still unstoppable because last week they can able to overcomes Excelcior with final scores 3-1 and Luuk de Jong has made a hattrick on that match and today PSV have a potention to gets their 18th winning this season because they got easy opponent Utrecht and just look at the difference between them that PSV as the strongest team at this competition and their statistics during this season also very amazing because PSV has more than 20 total of shots and 60% ball possession for almost each matches in Eredivisie so these statistics makes them as the most aggressive team in Europa with scoring 59 goals from 17 matches

Utrecht was not in the good shape because since October last year they were unable to gets the winning results at their home ground and last week too Utrecht only able to playing draw from Vitesse so this record maybe will be utilized to PSV to resumes their winning streak and recently i have checked the odds for PSV and their current odds is @1.33 this indeed is not high odds even more likely too low but i think this is easy money because in my opinion certainly PSV will be able to beat Utrecht probably with big scores

As now, we are having 18th round in progress things are looking clear for the top spots PSV is having strong hold and Feyenoord which is defending champions are at the second spot but for the remaining spots there is no clarity because we have lost of points from Twente and AZ Alkmaar which is going to be benefited for the Ajax which is now going to have match against relegation zone team Waalwijk in case of win their difference from third spotted Twente could be only 6 points which is achievable for them, and they can recover from their worst start of this season with having jump at this spot and also chance for the Champions League in next season as well.

Most chances in next few weeks we will have Alkmaar down because their performance is day by day going down and things are also not looking favourable for them and as today we have Twente if they will lose point again then surely Ajax could be more confident to have fair chance for the third spot.

We cannot say that Ajax has returned to their best performance, they only won by 1 goal against Go Ahead. Many say that Ajax is better than AZ Alkmaar and Twente this season so they will be able to get second place in the standings. But I think it's too much. Ajax now just has to focus on doing what should be done. They have to fix some mistakes and weaknesses for next season. I think it is still possible for them to get the European league at the end of the season.

Yes i agree with you in the thing of "damage limitation" after the worst start in decades for Ajax in this Eredivisie, but man still not suficient to say you play extraordinary in a easy game against a weak team when you win with only 1 goal of diference.
