Here are some quotes for starters.    Ron Paul is like a fountain of quotes for altcoin memes.

---------------

"We need to take away the government’s money power."   Ron Paul, End The Fed.

"Like all government created monopolies, the federal monopoly on money results in substandard product in the form of our ever-depreciating dollars." Ron Paul.  http://www.ronpaul.com/2012-08-13/ron-paul-legalize-competing-currencies-2/

"The obvious solution is to legalize monetary freedom and allow the circulation of parallel and competing currencies."  Ron Paul.
http://www.ronpaul.com/2012-08-13/ron-paul-legalize-competing-currencies-2/

or shorten to just:
"The obvious solution is to legalize monetary freedom."  Ron Paul.

or:
"The obvious solution is to allow the circulation of parallel and competing currencies."  Ron Paul.

"In a free market, the government’s fiat dollar should compete with alternate currencies for the benefit of American consumers, savers, and investors."  Ron Paul.

"The surest way to correct things simply is to legalize competing currencies."  Ron Paul.

"If people are free to reject debased currency, and instead demand sound money, sound money will gradually return to use in society." Ron Paul.  http://archive.lewrockwell.com/paul/paul766.html

"Mr. Speaker, I rise to introduce the Free Competition in Currency Act.".   Ron Paul.   U.S. House of Representatives.  2011.
http://www.coinnews.net/2011/03/24/ron-paul-introduces-free-competition-in-currency-act-of-2011/

"We have moved from a system of competing currencies to a government-instituted banking cartel that monopolizes the issuance of currency. "  Ron Paul.   U.S. House of Representatives.  2011.

Allowing for competing currencies will allow market participants to choose a currency that suits their needs, rather than the needs of the government."  Ron Paul.   U.S. House of Representatives.  2011.

"With a sound currency, everyone is better off, not just those who control the monetary system."  Ron Paul.   U.S. House of Representatives.  2011.

Good start zeroplus.   The Rothschild quote is fitting.

I think it would be even more powerful if we find a Ron Paul quote to counter Rothschild though, instead of "Take Back the Power".  I will look for something.

I made a meme if it helps Smiley  Perhaps others can use it to help spread the word

I figured since Doge has their meme, we can spread ours around...

Hey Ron Paul Coin thread, looking for a place to mine RPC? Join us at Chunky Pool!

Here's a little more info:

  • 0% fees forever, not just "for now"
  • SSL encryption
  • Custom MPOS layout
  • Support and a wonderful community @ irc.freenode.net #chunky
  • We are equipped to withstand thousands of workers
  • Excellent stability and uptime

We also provide many other coin pools and even have a coin-switching multi-port that switches between coins to maximize profitability!

One account fits all
We have modified MPOS to provide a multipool experience. You only have to create one account, and that account is shared among all of our coin instances. Unlike some other multipools, and since we're on top of MPOS, we offer you complete transparency about provided shares, found blocks and much more!

Pools
  • Dogecoin - port 3333
  • Earthcoin - port 3334
  • RonPaulCoin - port 3335
  • Lottocoin - port 3336
  • Stablecoin - port 3337
  • 42coin - port 3338
  • Digibyte - port 3339
  • Litecoin - port 3340
  • Klondikecoin - port 3341
  • Leafcoin - port 3342
  • Potcoin - port 4200
  • Multiport - port 6666

And perhaps the biggest reason of all: we are miners just like you. We started this pool because we were sick of trying to find pools that didn't go down all the time. We are committed to making a better mining environment for you and for ourselves.

An large influx of more miners isn't what is needed right now. We just need to keep the blockchain alive.
What is needed - desperately needed - is some PR. There is simply no buzz around this coin. The community is not growing, because there is no positive feedback effect.
Those trashing the dumping on Cryptsy are missing the point. Miners have expenses, you can't expect them to hold onto all their coins. Markets simply don't work that way. You think others should hold indefinitely so that YOU can cash in at THEIR expense? Of course you do.

The problems that RPC is facing is a failure of the community to promote it. If you think the coin stands on it's own and doesn't need any promotion - you are a fool who is hoping for a "free-ride". I'm absolutely positive that Ron Paul would disapprove.

Doge has gotten where is has for a reason - and it has little to do with the stupid Doge meme. I fear that much of the RPC community thought the coin would fly on name recognition only. Sorry, but the market is too smart for that. If RPC manages to bounce back it will be because the PRC community did something to promote it. No other reason. There is no free lunch.

I suggested about 50 pages ago that someone (with more free time than I) could sell ronpaulcoin promo items on cafepress, zazzle, etc.   Or have them printed up locally.

That is the sort of thing I would be starting out with if I had developed a coin myself.

I repeated the idea some 30 pages ago.  ( for a guess ).    No action, virtually no response.

Another thing that people could be doing....  there are tons of ronpaul quotes, videos and images out there.   Some of them where he is talking about his competition in currency act or ending the fed.   Here we have a coin with the namesake of the foremost advocate of competitive currencies in our times, and no one is even mentioning it.   Let's tie those speeches and quotes together with the cryptocurrency movement in general, and ronpaulcoin in particular.  Make meme images with quotes.  tweet them and  get them out there.

It's pretty clear that people in this thread prefer to bitch about multipools and "dumping" than to do anything that would actually promote the coin.

As for me, I will do some of that as time affords.  Anyway, I am not sitting here yakking about pools and mining and exchanges and related stuff that doesn't matter all day long.

One shop that might want to accept RPC is http://www.campaignforliberty.org/shop/ - here's their contact page: http://www.campaignforliberty.org/contact-us/

On top of that, there's www.dailypaul.com - they accept donations, and on the donate page, the author of the site states "I am working on an electronic alternative to PayPal."

Isn't that obvious? Daily Paul needs to accept RPC! It's a win-win situation for both parties. Publicity for us and money for them. That site's got a huge reader base.

Here's Daily Paul's contact page: http://www.dailypaul.com/contact. I've already contacted them, but we need to make an impression on them. Everyone who'd like to see Ron Paul Coin succeed should send them a message. Especially the DEVS!

Good idea I have just contacted both sites....who is next??

We need to get RPC to other exchanges, now.

No.

It shouldnt even be on cryptsy, that came far too soon. Only thing i see since its on cryptsy is: sell sell sell.

I think we should have a poll. Like adding the face of Ron back to the coin...

Agreed a 1000 times. Devs, let's do this!

I created a poll to see if majority of people want a coin logo with Ron Paul's face back on it:
