PSG.LGD is not in a good placement in the Lima Major. It's obvious that they are having tons of troubles when it comes to their picks and what strategies they need to employ in order to get a more comfortable game. Honestly, I was expecting that they'll be miles ahead of GG when it comes to group stages being the LGD that I used to know, but it seems that they are not that cohesive yet as a team and they still have a lot of internal struggles to resolve especially in hero picks.
PSG.LGD has a habit of starting a bit slow and then picking up the pace as tournament progresses. But I agree they don't look so good at the moment from glimpses I have seen. It is though to follow all the matches when 4 are played at the same time and then I usually end up watching the ones I have on my ticket.

Liquid looks really good but that was expected, Talon also doing well but with much better odds. So far my best money bringer in this major.

It's hard to make bets on these best of two series'. That's why it's better to bet when the play offs is in and the group stages are done. That's where these teams are getting more serious than the previous matches that they've been.
Or wait until the last day of the groups since that's usually the time when certain teams need to step up as they can be one win or lose away from qualifying or getting eliminated.

Team Knights is still having a tough time getting their first map win and I really want to bet against them but beastcoast will probably settle for a draw once more.

TSM suddenly fell flat and now i'm down 0-2 on my posted bets,  Tongue luckily Team Liquid saved my day after sweeping Entity on their second series. After that 0-4 day on TSM, i'm thinking of taking Execration +1.5 on their next series as they seem overvalued and Execration seems okay even though they only got one map against EHOME.

So many games playing simultaneously in Lima Major it is hard to follow all the games.

First-day matches of Lima Major seem even and unpredictable. BetBoom was the 3rd favorite before the start of this event but was zeroed out by Shopify Rebellion. I have a feeling that they won't be in the upper bracket. Entity though they faced lower teams, at least it build their momentum leading to their series today against Shopify Rebellion.

No early bets for now as the tendency of 1-1 are still very possible. I am just planning to bet on 2nd maps once those favorite teams lose their 1st maps. Maybe this is the safest while still observing.

Team Liquid is the only thing predictable. They are showing that they are still in their best form. They are at the top of their group and tied with Entity. It won't be long though. They have taken Map 1 of their series against Entity. They won easily in just 28 minutes. I think it is good to bank your bet on Team Liquid.

I think Team Liquid is the strongest team right now in Lima. Hopefully, they can carry their momentum until the finals.

Who's watching Lima major's match Geek Slate and Knights? Skem just did a triple rampage at their first game with his Terrorblade. The second game is currently on going.

Well, skem is still playing with the hero of Terrorblade again for the second game.

I'd like to see how this game will end with a pos 5 bounty hunter.

I have already put it on my mind that all of these tournaments for tier/division 1 teams would always be unpredictable and that's where the excitement can really be found.

No early bets for now as the tendency of 1-1 are still very possible. I am just planning to bet on 2nd maps once those favorite teams lose their 1st maps. Maybe this is the safest while still observing.

Well, we're just on the day 2 and it's about to end as few more matches left and are already on their way.

I love these early matches to take some bets on underdogs while the very top teams are still searching for their form or maybe even hiding some strats for later when it will really matter. I am a bit surprised how good Team Spirit and Talon looks at this point.

Anyway my ticket looks good so far, just have to wait for Gaimin Gladiators to wrap the things up in map one. Looks like they should have an easy job with great lanes from Lina and Prophet.

EF chose the Anubis map and won without much difficulty. The second map was the overpass map chosen by EG. EF closed the first half 13-2 ahead. EG started well in the second half but couldn't make it to the end. EG lost the match, losing 16-14 on the map of their choice. I think EF will now face the loser of the outsiders-fnatic match. I think EF will beat the opponent from here again.

Both matches were a logical ticket, and you're the winner, congratulations. Playing 2.5 submaps in both matches was nice and logical without risk. Both teams beat their opponents 2-0 without any difficulty. I watched the Eternal Fire match. I didn't expect anything from EF in this match, I just watched it because I was wondering how it would go for them. By spending more time on the Anubis map, EF can dominate this map much better. Especially Cloud9 had no difficulty, I looked at the only Inferno map and for a while Sh1ro was playing with 21-3 kd..
All 4 matches went 2-0, should've bet under 2.5 for all of them haha

If we look at the results of the ESL pro league matches played yesterday, I have to say that EF still looked good against G2. G2 is a very fit team right now and they are not a team to be beaten easily. We can see this from the results. Monesy was the star of the match yesterday. Anubiste was probably the one who brought the win to his team with what he did. The Nuke map was closer but EF couldn't win despite giving their all.
Today, EF will face EG. EF needs to win this match. And I think it will win.
Yep EF should take down EG easily, they're currently leading the first half.

Missed the first two games. I'll bet on under 2.5 again for G2 vs C9 and Outsiders to win against Fnatic.

Well, the game was done between Execration and Tundra. And as I've said, Tundra as the TI champs doesn't mean that they won't lose to any team.
The series ended with a 1-1 and that's actually a good start with Execration. The Lima major has officially kicked and I've missed some games right now, I'm watching Entity versus Geek Slate. 50 minutes in the game yet the kill/death score is 7-12 in favor of Entity.

Even PSG.LGD has lost a map against EG and they ended up draw in the series. LGD is now playing against TSM and they are on the verge of losing again. TSM have a very large lead , 23K in net worth. It will be hard to comeback to that but it is still doable. I think LGD will lose a map against TSM.

Group A has a lot of Draw matches today while Group B have more sweep. I think I'll be betting draw on Group A tomorrow. I forgot that today is the start of Lima Major that is why I do not have any bets placed but turned out lucky for me since my prediction is way off. Will start to bet tomorrow.
It's the same for Group A and B for sweeps. Group A has 5 sweeps while Group B has got 4 sweeps too. I have forgotten yesterday that it was the official start of the major's group stage but still, I've watched a few games and it's enjoyable.
Today is the 2nd day and this is where most teams have to be more serious since it's a point system and only a best of 2 per series. It's still undecided for most teams until we see day 4 and day 5 which is likely the crucial part for most teams especially to the bottom teams.

My bet on the Gladiators ended up busting after Talon won the second map, their Puck, Tusk and Batrider were always setting the pace of the team fights and dyrachyo's Lina couldn't do much as he was always getting kited. On my next bet, i'm putting a few units on the draw between TSM vs Talon, odds slightly favor TSM but I think Talon grabs a map.

Also looking at the standings, it's a rocky first day for the CN and CIS teams, as most of them are sitting at the bottom, while the EU teams are dominating at the upper half as expected.

NA and SEA are holding nicely but we'll see after the next few days if they can still hold their position.

I dont know who will win the Strife vs Mythic match but I think 3 maps is the best bet there, the teams ranking is very close.    The team stream their matches usually which makes it unusual in hearing the (delayed) team comms and general state of strats used etc.
EG vs Eternal Fire, I think is just a bet for Eternal fire and some risk it might be 3 maps but dont think I'll go with that this time.

Outsiders over Fnatic and I really dont think C9 should beat G2 going on form last seen but I guess 3 maps is fair to consider.

Is anyone following the ESL Pro League S17? The four opening matches of group A likely will be one-sided and the odds aren't that attractive for the favourites. I'll just place some under 2.5 maps bets.

Actually, every game there is going to be unpredictable but that's it, we all have different thoughts about the upcoming games and you just did it earlier than us so good luck.
Tundra still got more experienced than Execration and they're the last TI champs so the difference between the two teams is truly wide. But that doesn't mean that they won't lose against any team.
We can pick based on what we think will win but there are still factors which might affect the game or the teams that we chose and they/we will lose the game. He is wondering on why there are many people voted for tundra but you already explained here the reason why but again there is no guarantees in gambling.

An underperforming or considered to be a weak team by the majority, can still miraculously win if they haven't given their best and the opposing team did. The same to what I watched recently, it was also an esports game and the last time's champion got beaten up by another team. I think that team never experience to win any major tournament before.

As for EG, yes they may have come from one of the weakest regions, but they usually have a shot on group stages before they fall off as tournament progresses. I'm betting on them making a dent against PSG.LGD at the first day. A long shot against a Chinese powerhouse, but still this isn't the same PSG.LGD as before.
Same here, took EG to take at least one map and it already passed. Seems to me PSG.LGD likes to try some strategies in group stages ans aren't 100% focused on result. While EG starts strong and then fall off as you mentioned.

Have Tundra to win 2:0 which is also going in right direction but not settled yet.

Glad we finally have Tier 1 DOTA, as usual just placing some small bets in group stages while gathering info about form and waiting for the knockout stages to rally stat placing proper bets.

Abit early but lets start betting on the Lima Major

Im going with this for the opening game

Pretty sure that PSG.LGD is going to dominate but Execration might win a single map against Tundra so yeah its kinda weird as most people will choose Tundra but this season, Tundra is not really dominating the DPC so there is a good chance that it they might win
