Wow! We have early picks here already for the Lima Major. 23 hours left before the start of the games. I still want to see how PSG.LGD performs since they are not the same team and they are also playing with a substitute. LGD though remained the slight favorite.

I can't wait to see Execration the new #1 team in the SEA play against Tundra the defending TI champion. I'll be happy if they can get 1 map here.

Meanwhile, Team Secret got jokes. Cheesy Hopefully this team just like last year will be able to catch up and still be present in this year's TI.

Abit early but lets start betting on the Lima Major

Im going with this for the opening game

Pretty sure that PSG.LGD is going to dominate but Execration might win a single map against Tundra so yeah its kinda weird as most people will choose Tundra but this season, Tundra is not really dominating the DPC so there is a good chance that it they might win
Actually, every game there is going to be unpredictable but that's it, we all have different thoughts about the upcoming games and you just did it earlier than us so good luck.
Tundra still got more experienced than Execration and they're the last TI champs so the difference between the two teams is truly wide. But that doesn't mean that they won't lose against any team.

I agree with the draw on Tundra but i'm skipping PSG.LGD for now until I see how they'll mesh with old eleven, IMO this EG squad is still good enough to take a map even though they're the second-best team in SA.

My first bet is on the Gaimin Gladiators 2-0 @1.85 vs Talon since Quinn and the gang are on another level. Also, Talon looked mediocre throughout the first tour and I don't think their conservative playstyle would work here.

LGD had a hard time getting qualified at first, but with how EG played I guess this would be an even matchup. Both of these teams seem to be just equal right now, so a draw might be imminent. As for Tundra and Execration, a draw is also highly possible. I can't really gauge who's the stronger team on the groupstage as most of those playing have had a rough start. I think doing draws on most of the matches on day 1 is a safe bet, and as the tournament progresses and we see the metas used by these teams we can safely pick, then maybe we can draw a conclusion on which teams will be able to get an edge against another.

LGD had no problem qualifying. They finished with just 1 defeat and were able to out play Aster on their tie breaker. Even with the current changes in their roster, they are still very good. And they belong to one of the strongest regions in Dota. While EG are coming from one of the weakest regions. Though EG finished second, the gap in the competition between CN and SA is wide. I think LGD will win in this match-up. I have not seen them yet start weak in a major so I believe they will start strong in Lima as well. It will not be that easy, but they will definitely win against EG.

That's what I said: at first. They had a hard time but they found their rhythm later on. With the changes on the roster after TI11 they have shifted to a relatively aggressive team unlike when XinQ and Ame is still around. I believe this iteration of PSG.LGD is enough to take on a lot of big names post TI11 shuffle.

As for EG, yes they may have come from one of the weakest regions, but they usually have a shot on group stages before they fall off as tournament progresses. I'm betting on them making a dent against PSG.LGD at the first day. A long shot against a Chinese powerhouse, but still this isn't the same PSG.LGD as before.

I will bet Mythic over Vendetta in the forthcoming game on the basis of experience and that there is always the chance Mythic have done their practice and are up to speed to compete.   The ranks favor Vendetta and the past results say the two teams are both capable of beating each other on occasion.   So long as the odds favor Vendetta I'll go with Mythic as the underdog bet and very likely I'll go with 3 maps also as that's often the best bet vs risks imo.
Mythic is average age 27, younger then I thought and Vendetta is about average age 21 so maybe they are up and coming and deserve a higher ranking but I'll stick with the players Ive seen compete more often and hope experience counts Cheesy [Vendetta improved their rank by about 60 places in the last month, higher volatility if you get my thinking possibly higher risk]

Eternal Fire are the champions in the CCT Central Europe Malta Finals! It is really unbelievable to me because it isn't one of the things I'm used to see as for a Turkish CS:GO team.  Smiley  Especially when we think how many times Eternal Fire lost to Bad News Eagles so far I wasn't very confident about them. But they did it with a really nice performance. Map 3 was just amazing. I think xfl0ud was the most performing player of the map there. Because there was a 1v3 clutch of him and his ninja defuse was also very valuable for the team.

Here is the link to the ninja defuse in a 1v3 situation: https://clips.twitch.tv/CourageousSuspiciousWeaselTebowing-gaNKFJO1U8kGaBaM
It was a huge success. Eternal Fire has proven that it can success the right success at the right time, this was very important, congratulations to all the players and team. The ninja defuse moment in Xfloud vertigo was really epic and important moment. Xfloud is a clutch master, very cold-blooded and loses very few clutches. Clutches were very effective in EF's winning the maps. Xfloud, Imorr had nice clutches. The biggest advantage in ninja defuse was if the c4 wasn't in the closed angle. After everything went well, good success was achieved in the end.

I am not familiar with Shopify Rebellion and I am surprised they have quite a high odd to win Lima Major. Is there anything particular with EG and Shopify that would get you excited about their series? They might not even meet since they are in different groups.
EG moved from NA to now South America and replaced the old roster which were the Shopify Rebellion's now(North America).
Oh, I see, that is something. Do they have beef because one took a slot from another or are we just speculating here?
We're not speculating here, that's a fact and I've followed the transition and that's why I'm aware of it. There's no beef or anything about them and EG's old roster.

It's just because they're getting the same result with the old roster, they need to do something and they want change and that's why they've chosen the SA boys to form their new roster.

But we are not sure if they will ever meet in this competition since they are in different groups unless both of them get into the Semis or Finals. Hopefully they will meet so we can judge if EG made the right decision or not.
Yeah, they're on different bracket but I don't mind seeing them have a match.

I'm kinda laughing at the name but seeing how EG let go of the old roster, I kinda understood the rebellion part. They're doing well in SA though, but they kinda have to grind since the SA region is already packed with a lot of good teams. I'm hoping that Shopify Rebellion get better placements in the DPC in order to qualify for a lot of prestige tournaments.
SA region is one of the quickest improving region honestly. Before, they weren't being noticed and like a mediocre region for most div 1 teams.

But with the last TIs and mostly with the recent one, they can't ignore the talents that are from there.

Absolutely unlucky to win against EF Bad News Eagle, of course the Bad news Eagle team has almost tier 1 unique players. EF - ENCE match ended 2-0 and EF won both maps. They won 16-14 on both maps. There were no players under 1.0 KD, Imorr got better every match. Lan game did him good. The physical weight gain of EF players has really started to give a red alert, yes they spend most of the day inactive at the computer, but guess how low sugar resistance is in this way, these unhealthy forms will provide a great disadvantage in long-term games.
Yeah, it was quite a thriller, especially on the second map. imoRR had a 1v3 clutch when the score was 14-14. If it wasn't for his clutch I'm quite sure they would go to the third map. Good showing from EF, looking forward to seeing them in T1 tournaments.

As for EF vs ENCE on why they have the same odds almost, EF just lost embarassingly to a team that is not that established and unheard of, so oddsmakers would probably decide to give ENCE the benefit here even if they just lost 0-2 against EF yesterday. Of course, that pressure will only mount up because they are now fighting for tournament life after what happen, which might cause them to make a lot of mistakes too in this match up.
Yup the match turned out to be very close, 16-14 on both maps.

Brackets are already been made for the Lima Major of Dota 2. Look at the bracketing for group A and group B....

2 more days and we will see another great DOTA 2 action. And I am actually more curious about a series between Evil Geniuses and Shopify Rebellion. These 2 teams will have the attention of this major. Although we will have to wait a little longer as both teams are not in the same group. I'm not a fan of Bulba but maybe in this new team, Fly will be able to dominate a big part of the team's drafting and strategies.

The betting odds are picked Team Liquid, Tundra, and BetBoom as early favorites. Shopify Rebellion has 9x odds while EG is at x101.
EG and Shopify Rebellion aren't on the same bracket so, if they're going to face each other then that might be on the playoffs. It's going to take a while until they be against each other or possible that it won't happen.

It is no surprise that Team Liquid will be the favorite since they have a very outstanding WEU performance. I have not checked the betting odds but I think Aster and PSG.LGD will also have good odds to win Lima alongside Tundra and BetBoom. I might put a bet on Liquid and LGD once the tournament starts.

Then again, this team (Eternal Fire) is notorious for choking in important tournament stages so it could be a classic EF that we might see in the UB Finals.
LOL this came true. They lost 1-2 to BNE, it seems like a close match though.

By the way, does anybody know why EF vs ENCE consolidation final match odd is almost even? EF beat ENCE 2-0 yesterday, shouldn't they be the favourites?

I knew it. Even though BNE is relatively unknown and has players that aren't as good aimers as Xantares and Calyx, EF is just a weak team when they are pressured and will literally shit the bed whenever they have the chance to.
