The MSI tournament is starting on League of Legends as you know. The first matches are starting tomorrow and the last two matchups in the picture will be the first ones. In this round the matchups are played according to BO3 format. Among these teams I think the most impressive team is G2 Esports. They can really be the nightmare of their opponents in this bracket.

As you know we have newly left behind a really lovely tournament, EMEA Masters. It was a really big success for the Turkish team IW Cats as there wasn't a this much successful team in Turkey in such tournaments for a long time. Now I assume that people will be eyeing the MSI even more than that as it is one of the biggest organizations on League of Legends.

Which team is your favourite in this one?

The Copenhagen Flames team announced bankruptcy and with this bankruptcy, the major stickers on steam started to rise. I can say that the cheapest copenhagen flames sticker has increased about 6-7x in one day. Of course, the team's bankruptcy is an indication that it can no longer be found in the cs:go arena. This means that people are now stocking up quickly, thinking that the sticker will increase in value. There was an incredible demand and price increase as soon as the announcement was made.

Gross, if only SR didnt threw the 1st map up then pretty sure it would have ended over 2.5 maps. Glad that I bet on a single for GG-1.5.

Surprise of the day could be OG against Liquid, I feel like Liquid hasn't been really clinical in Berlin and my bet is on OG to take at least a map, even though I think they can actually win today.

OG is a different team with these two stand-in, its kinda feel like cheating because two stand-in totally change your whole team gameplay. I actually cant believe that they win against Liquid. Well yeah Liquid is not that favourites anymore ever since the patch changed but OG was awful with their original roster though

Going with the GG sweep as well plus Tundra for a total of 2.53, I should've placed my bet right away after the odds were released because earlier today the initial odds on Tundra ML were sitting at 1.78.

Well atleast this looks like you are going to win something. All my parlays got busted today because of SR  Roll Eyes. For some reason I include over 2.5 maps on all of my parlays for the day lol, I was pretty sure that it was going to be atleast 2-1 either way

There is a new tournament going on named Brazy Party 2023 on CS:GO lately. Eternal Fire were also there to represent Turkey but unfortunately they couldn't advance to the quarter finals from the group stage. They balanced things by winning against GODSENT after a loss against Apeks. However OG had the last word and pushed Eternal Fire out of the tournament by a 2-1 win.

There is still a long way to go for Eternal Fire now. They have replaced xfl0ud with Wicadia who was in the academy team before. I have heard the reason like there was a problem with the role for xfl0ud. Wicadia will need some time to adapt to the team. He was a solid fragger on some maps in the Brazy Party however playing good as a team is essential.

Abit optimistic on GG here but I personally think they are the favourite to win The Major based on their group stage's performance
I also think the same, if they're not the team winning this tournament then it'd be Tundra because of their current form.

Really, there were odds of 1.78 on Tundra? Damn, that is free money, if only I have seen that I would spam it so much. They are actually my main play for today and I am trusting them even more than GG. GG should win but I am thinking Spirit will take one map.

Good read on that and congratulations on the win. EG and Aster were able to make it to the Lower bracket and knocked Betboom out of the tournament.

I watched their previous game against EG though so that was my reasoning based on what I watch. Betboom's players were tilted therefore it is going to affect how they play on the next round as well but honestly it was pretty close. Betboom could have won that and the game was pretty much close to 40% - 60% on both teams which could have gone south for both

I got EG to win this. The only reason that I took this was because few of the Betboom's players was playing like a tilted jerk against Aster then somehow ruined the game so probably they are going to make the same mistake against EG as well

I was not able to make a bet but if I was, I would also go with EG. Betboom is playing like they are throwing the game. Even their draft is suspect of throwing. I know they are playing with stand-ins but other teams are also playing with stand-ins but they are doing good. Betboom is actually playing like pub on a pro tournament.

Is someone winning in this Major ? Everywhere I look on twitch chat , most of them are "322 " or "mafia call" and to be honest , there are a lot of sus games in Berlin Major and the prize pool is not so attractive and that is why I do expect trows and stuff.
Liquid slowly becomes a last patch team and this new patch is a reality check for them as they cannot figure out the patch yet and more than that , hey are picking combos from last patch..same as Talon who will end up straight to airport today.
Meanwhile , look at PSG , they missed a major and now they are dominating alongside team Aster.

I also always feel like those official Majors of Dota 2 have a pretty low prize pool. Dreamleague season 19 that ended last week for example had significantly more than the Major now. I still don't think, that we see 322 matches and planned throws here, because the teams can not only win money in the Majors but also quite a lot DPC points. I don't really know the current standings but i would guess that if you have a first or second place in a Major, then you are probably already have enough points to be qualified for The International and there the big money can be won.
So i think the teams take the Major tournaments very seriously.

It has been a while now that DOTA 2 Majors are getting a small prize pool compared to other major e-sports. Their saving grace is that TI has the biggest prize pool. Like all DOTA teams are playing just to get into TI and win it. Luckily, DOTA have Riyadh Masters now which is getting a bigger prize pool. I think Riyadh has now $15 million prize pool.

Made a bet on games between Team Aster and Evil Geniuses. These teams are almost equal but maybe the team from China will be able to win this one.

Congrats! Team Aster won against EG and as well as with BetBoom. There's now a triple tie in the group A and the first one that shall come to the playoffs is Team Aster.

The last game is EG and BetBoom and whoever wins this match which is just a best of 1 match will also join the playoffs while the losing team goes home.

Yesterday it was like that Team Liquid was one of the bottom teams but then they've managed to get to the upper bracket.

Nice win there mate! I actually bet on EG. It was annoying during the first aegis that they just easily gave it up. They would've at least tried to establish their presence near the pit. They knew Aster was only buying time to hold and for their cores to catch up and build items. The moment Aster had the aegis, it allowed them to farm and move with confidence.

Liquid finished strong in the last 2 days of the group stage. They went 5-1. BetBoom would've been in the upper bracket if they didn't lose 0-2 to no-hoper Execration.

Well actually EG is much better if it wasnt for Sumail then I dont think Team Aster would even made it to lower bracket. All these stand-in from Nigma is performing extremely well though

Its Liquid though, they are far ahead than many other teams out there so eventually they'll make it to the upper bracket. What really surprised me was that SR was pretty good as well in this Major

Finally, I bumped into this thread again after I started to random my posts in different threads in the last weeks. I feel bad for SEA nowadays. They turned worse. Maybe the 3 slots should be given to other regions like SA or CIS.

SA is the same in SEA. I think WEU is worthy to have more slots because they have most of the team that is dominating the Dota2 scene. The competition on that region is very tough that is why they developed a very strong gameplay which other region can’t beat during majors tournament. SEA is indeed a thrash since the quality of Dota is already decreased because we can’t use the meta properly.

Well, they have to move and get SEA players if they want to move to SEA. Just like what EG did, they moved to SA so their players are now all from SA. WEU players will not probably want to move to SEA.

Yeah, maybe more slots for WEU. But how about Team Secret relocating to SEA? Grin I bet teams like Team Secret, Nigma, etc. can dominate the region.

Meanwhile, in group A, BetBoom coming from the top 4  is now down in a 3-team tiebreaker series after losing the second map against PSG. The same with Group B, beastcoast is also waiting for its own tiebreakers. Talon and Extreme are still holding their last chances in their second games. Talon seems winning and might secure playoffs spot but I am not counting out Team Spirit yet, especially in this new patch.

Here are my picks for the Brazy Party group stage decider matches. Taken a few underdog bets, betting on Astralis and Sprout. Astralis has the necessary skill and chance to beat ENCE. As for Sprout, it's merely speculative, but I thought the odds were favorable. Btw, the OG bet is a bad bet. I wasn't aware that Ruggah, the coach, was substituting Neofrag for the first map before I made this live bet. No wonder the odds went so high, should've checked HLTV first Cry

Currently another series of 1:1 with Shopify versus OG, this game is a really good fight also another interesting in this game is MC is already in the team OG and he is playing well not unlike when he is in the Nigma galaxy, well back on the match, SP manage to win the first game because of the Ember of Abed and a good draft of Doom against the Enigma this aghanims AOE so OP to cancel those heroes that cannot dispel easily. Actually I didn't expect that OG lose the game because of the Grim ult plus the combo of rupture and doom just they did a proper initiation, in the game 2 the Medusa buff manage to carry the game I don't know why but this patch make medusa less health because of the mana shield.

Currently just watch between the match of Team Liquid vs LGD, this game is really intense with the both teams in the last Ti but of course with different players right now they are still having an adjustment with the maps and the drafts of the meta, in this game 1 LGD still making a risk of choosing medusa against morpling well this is really good pick but again the medusa in this draft is really squishy as CM right now because of having a 720 hp only without items can easily burst with morpling and MK diffusal blade but still they manage to win the game 1, this game 2 they are now desperate with their draft because of the Void and the TB picks but this time team Liquid manage to get the 1-1 on this ESL.

I think most teams are trying out heroes in the tournament. We see once a team has already won a map, they will have a bad draft the next. Maybe it is 322 or they are just trying out heroes early on in the tournament that they could use later. They have very few hours practicing the new map or trying out new meta since the map released just a few days before the tournament. So, maybe, they are trying to discover a new meta while in the tournament. And they are using the early rounds to test it against pro players.

Seems like they only have a week for having an adjustment with this patch, after the release of the 7.33 still have some bugs abused in the pub games and immediately fix by valve. Still good way to adjust but not in tournament.

It's not throwing, It's due to the latest patch makes all the team on an experimental stage. I think GG already adapted on the new patch since they are still consistent with their play.

The Internet was so fast to judge. I remember one bad play from Shopify Rebellion and Twitch viewers are already typing 322 on the chat. It is like these players are robots that cannot make mistakes. I agree that the new map is still confusing and even pros make mistakes in this map since it is totally different from the previous map. It is not just once that I saw some pro trying to juke enemies and ending up in on a dead-end side of the map. Especially the river on the top that is now a dead end or the bridge that can only be crossed one unit at a time. I think we will see better matches as the tournament progress. The players should be more familiar and we should see new techniques or meta by then.

Today's matches of the Brazy party tournament have been played and I must say that there are no surprise results so far. In the first match of the day, ence beat GL 2-1. Both teams won the maps of their choice and the match went to the decider map. On the decider map, ence won comfortably with a good performance.  We can say that ence won a comfortable match with the good performance of Dycha and sunpayus.
In the other match, sprout beat imperial 2-1. This time, both teams could not win the maps of their choice, and when their opponents won, it was left to the decider map again. In the last map, sprout won the match by beating 16-11.

Actually, Team Liquid is showing an average game and not that bad. They only suffer 1 match loses and the rest is tie. This is a good sign that they can make a better performance on the next round since they manage to take 1 game on most of team.

What do you mean that they missed a major? They are a participants on the last Lima Major.
