Who are Puppey and M_C fans here? There's a rumor that they might be seen in TI12 and might play as standins for the Team SMG.

Why? Again, just like the other problems in the past for their TI participation and it's all about the biggest and strongest opponent of most of them, VISA.

News:
MinD ContRoL Can Go To TI12 With Team SMG
Rumors: Puppey to play for SMG at The International 2023

Again these are still all rumors.

Possible if they have the means to cover for Puppey and MC's expenses. Pretty sure they're willing to look at this as an investment to move further ahead in the tournament. Idk why Valve is still not helping players get past the visa issues every year. It's as if they should already expect these to happen but they are simply not doing anything at all.

And apart from that, it seems that we've got lesser time to see a huge prize pool for this TI. It seems that Valve shortened the time for the collection of 25% sales of the new compendium. Based from what I have seen, the current prize pool for this is around $2.5M as for the collection as of typing this but this can still grow and more. We still got around 2 more weeks for the start of the TI.

With the contents of this year's BP, I doubt we'll be able to hit any significant milestones for the prize pool. TI might even regress its position as the most important tournament in Dota 2 if this is what's going to happen yearly.

Not really new anymore on which tons of dota players or professionals wasnt able to attend whether on TI or even with those Majors or other tourneys just because of VISA problems.
This is indeed their strongest opponent i should say.  Grin Once your declined or having issues then for sure you wont really be able to play together with your team and
this is where stand-in do begins. Puppey and M_C? Well having these veteran players playing on a team then you cant go wrong with them though and lets see on how
far that SMG could be able to reach out.

Speaking about TI prize pool then its already that not shocking that they wont really be getting that bigger prize pool for this year. Why? they didnt really able to release that Battle pass earlier
but instead they are focusing on compedium and we know that TI date is fast approaching. There's no much time for the pool to make it big and also
with those stuffs given or could be acquired then its total shit. We do lots Arcanas and Immortals baby.
Yeah, there's no battlepass today and that's why many players don't like this compendium that they've released before the TI. It's like that this isn't a way to boost the sales and that 25% from the sales are too little for the prize pool of TI.

They should have done that earlier but we've got lesser time as the main event approaches. And talking about m_c and puppey, they're good choices for Team SMG because midone was a former teammate of Puppey and that's why it's easier adjustment for him and for the others as well.

I just feel bad for masaros and jaunuel since they were the players that have been with them through the qualifiers. However, I am sure that they've got a share on that whatever will be the ending of their journey on this TI.

-snip

This is going to be so weird. SMG a team from SEA region ended up having 3 players that is originally not from SEA well I guess the WEU region players are better but its just seems pretty weird if this rumours ended up happening
It feels not just weird but also bad, they are a SEA team but having M_C and Puppey to represent, this makes them no longer pure SEA team but even in the qualifiers, they've got already noone that's from the EEU.

~snip~

You know what, I dont think that the prizepool is going to even hit $5M mark at this rate. The increasing rate is pretty slow at this point and most people are ignoring this already so probably its going to end up on $4 - $4.5M mark at most. Heck yeah, even The Riyadh Master had $15M prizepool so its pretty lame for TI's prizepool to end up as miserable as this
Well, it's very likely that you're right with that but I am hoping that it can go up again for the players to have a larger prize pool. As of checking now, it's on $2.6M and there's like two weeks from now on to fulfill that.

If this is going to be the lowest since 2012 then players and teams are going to focus on other larger prize pool tournaments like Riyadh Masters.

~snip~

Actually puppy creates already a history that he makes attending all of the Ti events and course it's your privilege to have this offer even you don't have the team you've created but still you can go Ti and chance to claim the Aegis.
If the rumor becomes true then Puppey is the remaining guy that has attended all TI and it's a record and history for him.

People saying that MC will adopt by Team OG for this series because he really makes a good performance not unlike they are playing in Team Liquid and Nigma Galaxy. Last match against OG they made a really good mega creep comeback by the catch of MC

Afaik, Midone and Puppey becomes a teammate before on Team Secret so there’s really a chance that this rumor is true since they have past connection while is undeniably good team leader when he is on Secret. I’m not expecting big on this substitution but it’s still good that some oldies still play because I feel too old watching that most of the player is new.

Regarding MC to OG, I think it will be unfair to the original OG if they give way unless some of them will encounter passport issue.

Gave it a try to CS 2 yesterday and I must say I'm a bit disappointed with the game as I've been playing CS since 1.3 version and I think this is the worst one of CS franchise. I mean , they are slowly transitioning towards a modern shooter that wants to look more realistic and stuff but it I want to play that , I simply open Escape From Tarkov and I'm good to go.  I can also say fairly that I got in a game with a cheater in my 2nd game because even the enemy team said that the guy is suspect and we should all report him but facing cheaters after 2 days of release is not normal and Valve won't do a thing about it.

Edit : Forgot to say that nostalgia did the effect during the game as a lot of us grew up playing CS and Half-Life.  Grin

My bet would be for NaVi and ENCE to reach the finals for tomorrow, where I expect NaVi to win the tournament. They are a very experienced team and it’s been a while since they won something big, they should be able to push through.

That would be the safest option to bet on but Navi should be able to win 2-0 well or atleast according to me but I dont see how they are going to lose even a single map. As for ENCE, Im taking them to win as well and also had another -1.5 for ENCE on a single bet. I think its pretty risky taking ENCE to win 2-0 hence I got them on a single bet for that option

Last weekend of the ESL Pro League Season 18 is happening today and tomorrow. Even though CS2 came out on Wednesday and we can't play the old game anymore, the tournament will still be played in CSGO. This will probably the last big matches where we still can watch CSGO gameplay. Kind of sad that the CSGO era ended so abruptly, I am definitely going to watch they last few matches with mixed feelings. The big surprise of the tournament was Monte to reach the semifinals, beating Vitality quite comfortably 2-0. The Ukrainian team played really well and is meeting now NaVi in the match today. In my opinion NaVi is the stronger team and should be winning today, so far, they won all their matches 2-0 in the tournament and are hyped for the finals. The second match is ENCE vs Mouz, the other big surprise of the tournament.  Mouz first managed to beat FaZe 2-0 and they beat G2 2-1. The two teams played each other during IEM Dallas 2023 where ENCE won 2-0. ENCE definitely has the upper hand today and I think they are going to win. My bet would be for NaVi and ENCE to reach the finals for tomorrow, where I expect NaVi to win the tournament. They are a very experienced team and it’s been a while since they won something big, they should be able to push through.

CSGO turned into CS:2
What are you thoughts about this folks? Do you think that with this change some players and teams will capitalize and might be able to become better and the others could be the downfall for this update? I haven't played yet but it seems that this newer version of Counter Strike needs more graphics so those that have potato PCs might have problem playing the game. I haven't tried it yet on my potato PC but hopefully it works but I don't think so since it's under the minimum requirements.
There are many opinions about CS2. Those who like it love it very much and those who don't like it don't like it at all. I'm stuck in the middle because some features have been completely canceled and many players complain about it. You can't bunny hop comfortably, like in CS:GO, or you can't do FerrariPeek anymore. The game mechanics are completely different, but the more realistic graphics and everything is perfect. Potato may cause some problems for PCs, so I lowered it to the lowest settings, the image gets a little pixelated, but it becomes playable.
Yeah, potato PC can just put it on lower settings but that's not the best graphical experience that a player may have. But well, do we have a choice? The choice is to upgrade but until that happens, we need to lower the settings so that we can still enjoy the game. Well, those moves that you've mentioned that can no longer happen could also be a game changer to everybody, mostly to the pro players. Anyway, all are adjusting and learning from it and we just have to enjoy it as there's no reverting to the CSGO. Who knows if Valve will make that happen but that will just divide players into CS2 and CS:GO.

My bets for EPL today.

I guess I was abit late for the party, ENCE ended up winning 2-0 and Im pretty surprised that you didnt take -1.5 for ENCE considering the odds for them to win is only 1.2 at the bet that you have taken so might as well bet on -1.5.

Im abit superstitious today as all quarterfinals game ended up with 2-0 so Imma try my luck on G2 -1.5. I also had a leverage bet on over 2.5 maps for this because MOUZ are a pretty good team themselves

Eternal Fire have officially said goodbye to the ESL Pro League by being eliminated by NaVi in the quarter finals (2-0).  Sad
Yeah their EPL journey ended but what a good run. Nobody would've guessed EF going on 2-0 streak against Liquid, Astralis, BIG, and C9. But still, beating Navi close to their top form is just another level.

I didn't like Eternal Fire's effort against NaVi by the way. It was like their plans were ruined too easily and they struggled a lot. I don't even know why they picked Anubis on which NaVi are playing dominantly.  Huh
It's unfortunate that EF's top map pick was Vertigo, which is Navi perma ban Cheesy But yeah not sure why didn't pick Overpass or Inferno instead.

My bets for EPL today.

This year's compendium seemed to be lackluster. Heck, I might even go my own way and say that if you got the anniversary items that Valve released (the ones wherein you need to win 13 times in order to unlock it) is even worth grinding compared to the contents of this year's compendium. I don't expect people to actually buy it and spend money to get the levels. It might even force people to just do the 'abuse' route to get the maximum rewards rather than buy the levels. It's as if the Dota 2 team no longer wants to cater to its player base with how the rewards are setup.

It is by design as far as I know. Valve is trying to spread the prize money across the season now, instead of having TI with the highest prize pool and then very small tournaments throughout the season. The reason being TI has become far too important as an event and the rest of the season is becoming lackluster and teams aren't competing hard enough at the smaller events. So, basically the plan is, Make TI smaller compared to the previous installments and then have slightly higher prizepools for majors and lower tier events.

This move is just to keep the Dota scene, even at the lower leagues active and to support the smaller teams and players by increasing the prizepool while taking a cut out of TI. I guess there's sustainibility issues already in the event management scene, when it comes to Dota as there are fewer tournament orginizations left because, it just hasn't been profitable enough for them to sustain Longterm.

I understand Valve's move in trying to make all DOTA 2 events significant and more interesting by increasing their prize pools. I think it was last year or the other year that said that the game's player numbers continued to drop in significant numbers. So it really makes sense that Valve needs to take action. The current TI prize though is just too small compared to its previous years. It seems like it is no longer like the anticipated event some years ago where all of my friends are watching even if most of us are no longer playing the game.

I am not sure why there are limited new players in DOTA 2. Maybe the game is harder to play? I admit that the characters are not that cool, unlike the other games' heroes. In DOTA 2, most of its heroes are monster-looking.

Eternal Fire have officially said goodbye to the ESL Pro League by being eliminated by NaVi in the quarter finals (2-0).  Sad

Honestly I was really excited after seeing a Turkish team reaching this level after a long time in one of the most prestigious tournaments. Because the last time I saw a big success was like 5-6 years ago. There was a team named Space Soldiers back then and we have familiar names here at Eternal Fire also.

I didn't like Eternal Fire's effort against NaVi by the way. It was like their plans were ruined too easily and they struggled a lot. I don't even know why they picked Anubis on which NaVi are playing dominantly.  Huh

Anyway I can still consider this as progress for Eternal Fire. They have beaten much bigger teams 2-0 until reaching this level in the tournament. They must continue improving this playing level to be more successful.

Pretty sure they can think of more than just that. They can say that this year's TI prize pool will be distributed throughout the year without affecting the battle pass contents. I'm no longer playing Dota 2, but upon seeing what's in it, I just felt sorry for the long-term players and supporters who are always looking forward to buy the year's compendium.

This is officially the worst sales start in the history of compendiums/battle passes since 2015.

Totally expected this to happen since last year. We cant keep this TI prizepool to be that huge anymore. Most of us that play regularly or follow this game's update has been growing older. Some of us even had family now compared to like 5-8 years ago so yeah no wonder that we will be getting lower prizepool for TI even if those compendiums stuff are good

After such words, the desire to buy it disappears.

Well I might buy some just to support this old timer game but yeah I dont even play it anymore since few years LOL
Ultimately, I think that this is a very worthy result, the very fact that the game can still collect something after 12 years. Yes, with my family, the time spent playing the game has become much less, but this is logical. I still play with some acquaintances who are at a very far distance from me. I haven't seen them for years, but in the game we communicate, doing fun things together. This is the only reason I still play this game.

This often happens with Valve due to lack of contact with the community. It’s unclear where the company and our favorite game are heading. They wanted to try to bring something new to the battle pass, but users didn’t really like it. I hope they have some kind of plan for future years, I don't want this to be the beginning of the end for the game.

Dota 2 Compedium have been released by Valve and fans seems to like it so far even if the sales on this one is not like the previous years... .

More info can be found here - https://hawk.live/posts/international-2023-prize-pool

Also , Valve said that a new patch will drop after TI will be over as they don't want to ruin the current meta of the game where almost everything seems stable and without important bugs.
This is officially the worst sales start in the history of compendiums/battle passes since 2015.

Today I sold some of my things and saved up to buy a compendium, but based on reviews from reputable streamers and players, I’m in no hurry to buy it. Here are some of them:

Nix: "I can't find a reason to buy a compendium"
NS Kuznetsov: “Frankly speaking, there is nothing interesting there at all”
RAMZES666: “There’s no prize money at Inta, what the hell. It’s all annoying.”

After such words, the desire to buy it disappears.

Cant really still make out those conclusions though because we know that dota players on this generation do still continually to add up but i do agree on some points that to those people who are really that still playing until now which we do really have our own family. Just like me on which i've been playing ever since when im in highschool on which now that im already 32 of age and having my own family then you would of course be
prioritizing your family needs on which it would be resulting on having that lesser expense on buying up that Battle pass compared into those days which im not still married on where i do always love to buy
BP on huge or big levels or simply spending up that much.

Honestly, i was really that totally disappointed with the Compendium update recently, those are just skins and some wheel chats and i was expecting for some Immos or arcana
but we do fail on such expectation but i have seen somewhere that they would be adding out later on?
